    Thanks for your videos. You mentioned that you only use the backseat for your three dogs. We have two basset hounds and use the backseat for them in our ID.4. We put empty cardboard 12 bottle wine cases in the footwell area and cover the backseat and boxes to create an extra wide space for them. They love the extra wide seating. We have a net between the two front seats to keep them safely in the rear.

    Great to hear confirmation that VW is on track finally. If you have the money and are in the market to buy, I don't think you can overlook Id7. If you need more towing capacity of course, but it has everything else. Model Y can be had cheaper, but then with less range (still enough for most people). They should make a version of Id7 to match that with LFP battery, and VW would be cooking!

    I test drove the ID.7 and the infotainment is very fast compared to the older VW EV's. The UX team still has a lot of work to do though. Compared to Polestar/Volvo it's so cluttered and messy. To many small "buttons" on the screen which makes it hard and unsafe to use when driving, unnecessary information and "cool design" that takes up a lot of space and the colours are made for kids. They really have to clean that up before I'd consider buying a VW EV.

  • @automatix5
    @automatix5 10 месяцев назад

    6:14 It's a shame that this will never come to older cars. A 3 year old car won't get real updates anymore and the ID.3 Facelift is already dead on arrival.
    This behaviour from VW is the main reason why my next car won't be from the VW group.

    Thanks for all of your videos on the ID.7. I think that it will do well in North America, except that the almost 1 year delay in launching it here will allow others to catch up. It appears that VW prioritized the launch in China and that didn't work out well. My guess is that they could have sold many more if they had prioritized a launch in NA. I probably will not wait another 9 months for the ID.7, but will likely go with Kia. That's too bad, as the ID.7 seems to be the perfect car for me.

    - Rear breaking light lamp/led bar fogging
    - is there a sunglass compartment (e.g. in Skodas)? Very useful

    The biggest improvements (compared to 2021 ID.3 Max) seem to be the new infotainment system, new engine/aero (better range) and faster charging. It’s a shame that ID.3 facelift didn’t get the new infotainment or the new engine, and aero optimizations were minimal. Both ID.4/ID.5 2023 facelifts got the new infotainment and engine. I don’t need a big car either. If I would buy a new car right now, I would choose Volvo EX30 over VW cars. It has AWD too. Shame that ID.3 GTX never become a reality.
