You can buy 3 of them DAILY from the Mr. Handy inside the Crater Core (the Raider HQ at the very top center of the map) for a relatively cheap gold bullion price. You do need to make sure your reputation with the Raider faction is high, but it's very worth the grind when you can buy stuff like Carry Weight Boosters. It's a lot easier to get bullion than atoms, save your atoms for stuff you really want in the Atomic Shop!!

You can buy more than 3. Close the menu and then reopen it. 3 more will appear.
Repeat for as much gold as you're willing to spend.
Also sometimes in the utility section in the atomic shop you can get one for free. Once a week I think
Bro nobody is spending gold bullion on that especially if a low level who needs to save up for his ss armor or sh armor
I’m loving fallout 76. Bought the game on release and got to level 20 ish.. then I stopped playing until recently. I’m now level 80 and just hooked. Thanks so much for making these videos fella, these tips and tricks make it easy to get back into 76. Appreciate all you do Mr.WestTek

@@Dodology It´s a mutation hence it get´s effected by stranger in numbers. You can check that with Pemmican. With stranger in numbers it gives you +8 instead of +6 END.

Everything about this quest is so bloody broken, not broken like the quest line for vault 73 if you side with the raiders but broken as in how it explains or highlights anything to do with the quest.
Yea it’s insanely hidden or unexplained in those tadpole quest, u gotta watch the walkthroughs and look up the exam questions and answers on a website for the fastest way to completion.
I haven't touched the main quest line much, but ik I'll need to side with one side at some point; what's broken about siding with raiders? Should I side with settlers instead or is the issue with raiders fixed alrdy?
Well to be fair most of the side quest were that way in the beginning. And you didn't get the easy small backpack from the airport like you do now.
Work around is tracking in Pip Boy switch to order of the tadpole to know what needs to be done and then in miscellaneous for where to do those things. (If you have done them once already go to daily)
The Mutation Marsupial gives +20 to carry weight.
Barely anything that.

Junk rat and scrapper are a must for me as I pick up and scrap every piece of loot i come across. I also like having material available for any of my crafting needs.
Vintage mire moonshine for those quick fast travel moments, offers +30 carry weight iirc
Any Chem that increases strength can also be stacked on a food and drink buff. So yaogai pastry+vintage mire moonshine+bufftats/psychobuff gives at least 65 extra carry weight for few minutes. Can go much higher close to 100 extra carry weight and for longer with carnivore and Chem perk. If you're stuck use the vertibird 😉
I wish there was a way to permanently increase the Carry weight, I would actually buy the Carry weight Drinks if they were a permanent Buff, other mmos and online games have bags of holdings and item pack expansions , it be a benefit to everyone, or at least increase the item holdings in our Stash Boxes already! Ugh
weight boosters are my bestfriends 🥲
I would use them more if the boost lasted longer like a month, week, or even just a damn day.
By the way you can get the carry weight boosters, lunchboxes, and perfect bubblegum with gold bullion. No need to use atoms or tickets. They have a small amount available but if you exit vendor and open again it restocks immediately.
They won't increase weight limits on stash boxes to combat lag.
It's also the main thing that makes people want fallout 1st for the scrap box and ammo containers.
Personally, I think a good middle ground would be to add an armoury cabinet, a freezer, a medical box and an armour storage that all have separate inventories from the stash box.
Have them be fallout 1st like the scrap box and that.
Heck, I'd settle for just one of them 😂
Just have seperate or infinite weight for displays and vendors and that would already be a big step to me
Worth noting, if you do look to increase your carry weight with the excavator power armor, the backpack gets unequipped when you jump in the PA. So the high capacity backpack and the power armor won't be able to stack
Kinda but power armor is for 2 events don’t need other wise. Maybe the new that is coming out but we will see.

This has nothing to do with the video but I just launched my first nuke and fought Earle.
When others rolls on armor for unyielding or overeaters my first priority on my excavator PA was rolling all parts with -20% weapon weight.
If all 5 PA parts give -100% weapons weight, this armor will sure be OP!

Not sure if it was mentioned but when in a power armor you’ll need to re-equip traveling pharmacy since the backpacks get unequipped
If they keep updating the game and keep adding new guns/armor/pa they MUST give us a way to increase not only our carry weight but also our stash limit.... Hell, this last Meat Week they added a skeleton display and having the pieces for our camp requires us to have each piece inside our stash and that like 50kg!!!!!

Portable power, for sure, is the best perk. 90% of the legendary weight that I pick up is power armor. And I just want to hold on to it long enough to scrap it for scrip. Lets me run a few events insted of running to White Springs after every event.
You forgot Yao guai pastries. They do 75 carry weight and they only require razor flour and a yao guai meat to make or you can get at least 4 of them at the concession stand at Nuka world tour if someone hasnt already grabbed them. She does sell one tho.

Stash caps and low weight capacity is a way to shepherd gamers into buying that scrap box
I'm sure they can find other ways to drive people to buy 1st besides making it so you can never have enough space for all your stuff and you can't or scrap or give it away because it's linked to your account so the only option is to destroy it. Giving you all kinds of cool stuff to put in your camp and then not letting you have enough storage in your camp to even display it is not a wise money-making scheme. Trying to hang a new poster or display a cool hat or teddy bear on one of the chessboards and being told that my item limit has been reached and then scrapping a bunch of decorations and trying again scrapping more and more and trying again and again but still having it say that item limit is full does not make me love this game. Having some more options for increasing camp storage would definitely tempt me to spend money on it. They're being stupid about it. Keep making it frustrating and people will leave. Make it possible to purchase a camp upgrade that doubles the camp items, make more containers for other things that are separate from main storage, like the ammo box and scrap box are, but for chems, outfits, armor, weapons, and food. Separate display and vendor storage from main storage. Also having more vendor pools would be great, so that your storage isn't being used up by all the stuff you're trying to sell because they ran out of caps. Like train station vendors on one pool, traveling traders on another, and outpost vendors like Foundation and Crater and Whitesprings Mall on another. Or better yet, separate them too!
Motion Assist Servos will give +2 Strength to the user when in PA. It's a PA mod.
Wish this was out last month... went all the way to 50 with the backpack right out of the vault.
Don't beat yourself up about it. Once you start the Tadpole quest you'll understand why a lot of people put it off til later. Very tedious mission, but with a great reward.
@@betheguy_posts im almost through all that stuff. i stopped right before the Exam questions are prompted. (friend is guiding me through it somewhat which is super helpful. Tedious doesn't begin to describe these quests. "infuriatingly frustrating". Hell, the DMV stuff was the least tedious. at least i knew what to do because the quest markers didn't seem to be hidden
@@betheguy_posts I think he means without upgrading the small backpack as you level up. I did the same! I just finished Tadpoles and I'm level 115! But I never realized that I could have been upgrading my small backpack all along.

The excavator power armor can not equip any jetpack, sadly.
Loved the video MrWestTec! Question, I'm carring a bunch of meat cleavers that I love to use, buuuut it adds like 30+ weight with how much I have on me, is there a perk card to make those weigh less? Would it be under melee?

Been getting ribeyes from Flatwoods for the last 240+ hours for 50 carry weight when your mutated.
You forgot to mention the Yao guai pastry, with carnivore it adds 70 to carry weight as well as certain strength boosting foods/chems/booze

That Junk Card will deduct 90% off Junk. So Junk, Food, Aid deduction Cards maxed out will make a huge difference alone. I always carry all 3 lol. Then there's one for Armor or PO. Then if still to heavy ill take the weight deduction booster and a Aid with the most strength. Normally ill switch out the Junk card if im light and use it when needed. I will say switching all the Card's around every 10 to 20 minutes drives me nuts. Especially the Lockpick, Computer, Sale, Lone wanderer Card. Half the time i forget what i have. I've been having a blast my only complaint is the Micro transaction's, especially for the Scrap box. I need that lol.

What is the number next to the description in your perk cards? The x11 or x14?

Mortimer @ crater sells carry weight boosters for 75 gold 3 @ a time back out of the trade menu re enter & buy 3 more as many times as you like
Wish Bethesda would just allow unlimited storage in your stash box to fallout first players.
@toms6932 just a friendly advice: put all your junk on the scrapbox, and ammo on the ammo box, both boxes have unlimited space. 😉

@@jlash259 yeah, herbivore, I see that now. I havent gone Bloodied yet, so not sure if I should stay Herb. But I dont see anything in my current recipes for Herbivore carry weight reductions
@@Klaymour28 got ya. I’m pretty sure the reason I picked carnivore was because herbivore didn’t have any carry weight foods. But that was over a year ago so I’m not 100% sure that’s a fact, or if anything has changed since then so definitely do some more research on it.

My carry max is 400. Tried what happens if I remove my armory and perk cards at that 400.. My real weight was over 1200. (I dont use power armors, small side note)
You forgot the Grocer’s Backpack mod you can from the Gold Bullion Vendor at Foundation that effects the carry weight for food at the cost of 350 gold bullion
Considering you can just get the freezer for food, I feel this mod is kind of useless. I'm not sure why people need to carry so much food when you can just stop at home quick to grab whatever you need. Definitely not worth the mod slot in my opinion.
Agreed! And also I have the freezer in 2 of my CAMPS (don't know why I can't build this inside my vault camp).
@@MrWestTek anything in the freezer is part of the whole stash. Where if you run through hiker and better with salt, weight and condition is better in inventory. Albeit that's 6 special points taken up.
I am using herbivore so I miss out on some food buffs, but with Party Boy 3 in Charisma, a whiskey gives 30 extra carry weight. Sometimes I need to swap out some perks for carry weight perks until I can script the junk legendary items, once I get within 30, a whiskey enables me to fast travel.
Whiskey or Nuka Dark with Party Person will give +6 str for a short while so there is that too.
add the cola nut perk and i think it'll increase the nuka dark benefit
Happy Go Lucky, Cola Nut, and Party Girl makes Nuka-Cola Dark do funny things
I used the grocers mod to reduce weight of all foods and just use the perk for my chems
there are also camp stuff that buffs strength
It´s really weird. Deathclaw wellington give me just +3,60 HP (25sec) +3 STR (1h) How is it possible???
I have not been getting any points at level up. Just perks. Like I cannot get Charisma from 6 to 7. I had to drop a perk in P just to rank up to Tank Killer 3. My Perception won't increase when I take a P perk.
If you’re past level 50 you need to rearrange the special at a loadout card stand

@@yippykayakotherbuckets8870 Well, you get 1 per level up to level 50. Think about it. 49 level ups, 1 per level up....
@@yippykayakotherbuckets8870 including the base perk points, 56, but a minimum of one in needed in any stat so it’s really just 49 total perk points to play around with, and you can add up to 30 more from your choice of legendary special stat cards, but from what I have heard, you can only have a maximum of 6 legendary perk cards equipped at once, so once you hit lvl 300, your character reaches their maximum potential in terms of perk slots available to them, but can still unlock perks that are not yet obtained.

I thought you could only max out at 15 for Strength on SPECIAL?
The base level, yes, but there are many ways to stack on bonuses to your special perk levels
Do not bother with Traveling Pharmacy OR the extra carrying weight mod for the backpack, get the chem weight reduction mod for the backpack, it frees you a perk card slot since it also cuts the weight down by 90%, just like a rank 3 Traveling Pharmacy. IMO it gives you way more bang for your buck. since you can use the perk slot for something else. I mean i guess you can use traveling pharmacy and the extra carry weight mod, but i feel it is detrimental for a combat build.
So i have to ask any good ones for herbvoir its honeslty too painful to redo all my mutations to get carnivore outside of the steeped tea also anypne else been having issues with power armors not working as they should like not able to get into them or at random it stops working as if theirs no fusion core in it then when you get out you cant get back in.
There are no plant based recipes that give the buff increased carry weight. You can still buff your strength to get some, but that would be it.
I call this perk build „The Pack Donkey“ (Packesel) and I wanna add:
• add roll your amour parts until you got +1 Strength. I also rolled mine until I got +1 S. AND some reductions as well, like -20% weight for weapons and others.
• add deep pockets to your amour!
So… even if you obly got +1 Strength and deep pockets you’ll get extra carry weight of 5+10 each, which x5 = +75 carry weight!
In my case it adds up to 500 carry weight in total less due to all the things I habe with me. No power armor can beat that (until now)
… and 800+ carry weight is kinda misleading headline but well 🙈 the highest I can get with all buffs is around 650 carry weight, but well, if you take all the reductions into the maths as well, it could be around 800 to 1.000 🤷🏼♀️

Bruh I have like 550/600 carry weight and I stay full 😢 I put on power armor... always overweight . It's my fault I carry so much stuff because my stash is so small and I have about 4 characters I mean cmon Bethesda I have a character with just 12k nuka quantum's I should have a spot for that

It’s kind of ridiculous how bad power armor is in terms of carrying capacity. It makes no sense to have builds like the one you described be able to carry more than a literal exoskeleton meant for mining.
Even in the tv show there was a guy who carried the stuff after a Brotherhood knight, because it was way too heavy for an exoskeleton guy.
I can easily get almost 700 carry weight in my excavator armor, and that's with a full health build with no premium carry weight booster. It works great and easy to get, just sux the excavator armor can't use a jetpack 😅.
Man if only i could convert that player carry weight into more stash weight xD. Still ubsurd theres even a limit to your stash capacity. 2000 was a perfect limit, they just needed an excuse to force you to buy fallout1st

I use Yao guai pastry but I think using reducing items weight is the better way to go. The weapon weight reduction legendary effect is best cause it works on all weapons including throwables like grenades.

Most of this just breaks or weakens charcter. Other than the consumables and backpack plus backpack mod.
Theres alot of interesting info on whats influencing carry weight and the problems to solve when youre a hoarding pack rat weapon fanatic, but - this can be condensed into the following few:
- reduce ammo weight (most important) -> Bandolier (ballistic), Comes with batteries (energy ammo), Ordnance express (explosives)
- reduce weapon weight (close to most important)-> roll weapon weight reduction on ALL armor pieces (-90% of ALL weapons weights carried !!!)
- reduce food weight -> thru-hiker
- reduce chems weight -> traveling pharmacy
- add some more capacity with strong back of whatever level and that +120 carry weight backpack
Voilá -
Without 1st, without PA and without bloodied build and without those costly boosters/ food/ etc. I am at 480 carry weight and have no problems carrying 100+ guns+ 10000's of all ammos as well as around 100 mini nukes. Makes room for damage increasing cards in strenght. Also very important: max those legendary cards for equipping even more cards. This also includes that you always carry ALL chems, ammo, weapons and food on your body - nothing in the stash, which serves solely as a material dump for disassembled scrap.
How do you get your special points so high?
Im a new player, level 76 and a hoarder i have about every weight card available lol. Now switching them all for a event drives me Crazy, so does the Safe and Computer cards. Haven't used the Card machine yet but guessing i should to make a whole separate build. One for hoarding and the other for battle's. Isn't that how it works?
Yes, exactly, you make different special/perk builds for different things such as crafting/building or scavenger or one focused on heavy/power armor ect ect.
The ease of swapping all the cards and stat points with one click is very nice and worth grabbing an extra slot if you like playing with different builds.

Side note: The high capacity mod works on both small and large backpacks. 🎒

Yeah lvl 620 no high capacity backpack I use the chemist pack with it on I weigh 198/406 with it off I'm at 650/406 .

Because excavator lacks Jetpack (f you weren't around for the right bugs to use) you can add a strength modification to your torso I only used it once I think but it exists.
There is a strength mod for excavator, yes. There's also carry weight boosters for legs as well but flux makes it pretty expensive to make
