@thanomyloans2585 it’s the story about Sam and reader being stuck in the middle of an island 🏝️ during a race in order to get home you need to work with Penelope to find parts on the island while during activites on math
Unlike Reader Rabbit's Math Ages 4-6 (my most favorite Reader Rabbit math game), this installment had a storyline. A fabulous storyline about being shipwrecked on an island and solving various math problems. I had fun with it many years ago. Thanks very much for uploading this walkthrough video since it brings back good childhood memories!
@thanomyloans2585 The educational game starts with Reader Rabbit joining Sam The Lion in a sailboat race reluctantly. After the race starts, they try to take a shortcut, but end up getting into a thunderstorm, which makes their sailboat get out of control and crash into the seaside of Pirate Island, causing many sailboat parts as well as the front ends of Reader Rabbit's shirt sleeves to get lost. When Penelope the Parrot, a resident of the island, begins to help Reader Rabbit and Sam The Lion, it's up to them to build a new boat to exit the island, with each part being earned every time the player completes a math activity. That's basically what this educational game is about.
@thanomyloans2585 Sam is in a boat race with Reader rabbit. The boat crashed on a desert island, so we have to rebuild it piece by piece by stealing cargo from pirates.
Wow, I’ve been trying to find this game for YEARS. this was my childhood! all I could remember was the banana peels and the pizza with bugs 😂 THANK YOU!
Reader Rabbit is stuck in legal hell from what I know. Lots of corporate buys outs. I agree, I would love to see this classic up where it can still be enjoyed by us nastalgic 90s/2000s kids as well as new comers.
@thanomyloans2585 Reader Rabbit and Sam the Lion go on a boat race, but due to how small Sam's boat is, they're in last place. Sam think he knows a shortcut, but crashes on an unknown island where they meet Penelope the Parrot. They team together to make a ship that will get them back into the race, but they should watch out for the pirats
3:29:28 comes the end of the game where Sam the lion wins the boat race, but in this version of the game, he finished the race in second place. Plus, there was a sign that said "Congratulations, you have completed Reader Rabbit's Math ages 6 to 9. Do you want to play again or quit?" In first place, the sign was on a blank screen and in second place, the sign was on a certificate. I remember this game. I played it when I was a little kid. I was in third grade when I played it.

I got to say, this game was a whole lot of fun with Math. What I can’t fathom is how these two spent all this time trying to fix their boat as they were stuck on this island, yet by the time they finish, the race hadn’t even ended yet. And this is despite the fact the other boats zoomed ahead of them and they couldn’t even catch up to them.
It took me years before I realized that we weren't collecting many pirate parts cause Mom had us put it on practice mode. No wonder Sam never got out of the trap..
I remember playing this game back in 05, 06 and 07. I actually had a three pack that featured this game as well as Reader Rabbit Reading ages 6-9 and ClueFinders 3rd Grade Adventures.
I remember this game and this minigame at 13:40 due to an accidental glitch I found in the game. Basically, if you on a wrong number, rapidly hit the enter key, (Or the space key, I can't remember which) and this causes the bird's head to bounce off the screen. I am still laughing at this now that I am remembering it. I found this when I was like 9 or 10 years old BTW
Did you guys know that when my parents and I went to BJ's superstore, we got this computer game? In my first tries, I couldn't succeed in any of those math activities on the island map, but since I turned 12, I figured it all out.
No way. Kimberly Jordan, that's the coolest thing I've ever heard. I still play my "Reader Rabbit Math 6-9." And I have that game. And when I'm practicing my math, I need to give myself some time to try my best at it.
@@rodrigoroca2644 Can't remember. It was so long ago. I know at least a few years, even after the age the game is for. It was fun to play even when you're no longer 9 years old
Story: Reader Rabbit reluctantly joins his pal Sam the Lion and the Super Smash Bros. Squad, who has entered his dilapidated sailboat in a race. With no rudder and a motley sail, the whole squad quickly begin to trail the other racers. Sam suggests a shortcut, which leads them into unknown territory. As if that isn’t bad enough, a tremendous storm ensues, shipwrecking them on Pirate Island, and the boat parts collapsed. As the whole squad begin to despair, Penelope the Parrot, an island inhabitant, comes to their aid. She encourages Sam and the Super Smash Bros. Squad to build a new boat, using parts that have been hidden around the island. Meanwhile, the Pirates fear that Sam, Reader and the Super Smash Bros. Squad are present to steal their cheese. They have a secret plan to keep our heroes from building their boat and leaving the island, and they will stop at nothing to ensure its success.
Anyone know that Captain Ratbeard is voiced by Charles Martinet? (The same guy who did the voices of Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi)
I played this so much as a kid. I'm not sure why, but lately I've been trying to find all of the old learning games I use to play years ago. I remember playing this other game, but the name escapes me, maybe someone here can help? It was a math game, but it wasn't reader rabbit. Instead it had these cartoon kids that I think traveled to or were teleported to, I think its was some kind of jungle. I remember it had a monster theme, and when you finished the game, it even played a song about monsters. I don't remember it to well, but one lyric that forever stuck with me was "Do you believe in monsters from ancient history." Some puzzles I remember are one that involved vines surrounding a pit, and the one at the end of the game where you go into a temple and solve multiplication problems, and there was this stone wall or guy who helped you during that puzzle. If anyone knows what game I'm struggling to remember I'd be very grateful.
I wish I can play this game again! But I don't have a CD port! Let alone the CD. *sigh* why couldn't they turn it into an app like they did with Freddi Fish
That was my favorite game to play!!! And even thought it was a learning game I had restrictions playing it lol not like today where kids at age 6 have iPads
The pile of banana peels eating the other banana peels, as well as the monkeys eating the bananas is a very vivid sound I remember from my childhood and it's so weird hearing it again.
I remember first playing this when i was 6 and I got the first boat part and was like "yeah!!" Then it showed me all the boat parts needed and there were around 40, but felt like to me 40000. It took me the summer holidays and I actually did complete it the night of halloween before trick or treating as a bat. It truly did help with my maths skills though, as I got every single question right in the maths exam. Never since have i been able to do that though lol
This definitely brings back my childhood i really emjoyed thos game. I remember my teachers would let me play for free time or as a reword for completed work or good behavior
Tell me why me, a grown ass man, is watching this childhood gem of a game while on my lunch break

It starts and ends with the boat race.
Ohh the nostalgia 😩😌
This game was my childhood! I loved playing along with other Learning Company games

@@rodrigoroca2644 Can't remember. It was so long ago. I know at least a few years, even after the age the game is for. It was fun to play even when you're no longer 9 years old
Did anyone else just randomly thought of this game and wanted to look at it for nostalgic purposes?
I want to play this again so badly
Me too
Me three
you guys can.... just search for it on the internet.
I loved the game as a kid!
Me too! 😁👍

i almost feel like crying. this brings back so many memories.
I remember 2 things from my childhood.
Games like this, and my parents arguing.
And I only like one of those
This but unironically.

Based of Reader Rabbit's Math Ages 6-9 by Steven Spielberg
Anyone know that Captain Ratbeard is voiced by Charles Martinet? (The same guy who did the voices of Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi)
The first time I played this, I reached Admiral, the highest rank in the game.
One of my favorite games as a kid. Multiplication is my middle name! Great cutscenes in this game too.
@thanomyloans2585 Defeating pirates on Pirate Island as you collect pieces to build a new boat so you can sail home
Omg i can't believe I found this again
This was wonderful. Thank you, much better than sleeping.
The nostalgia and frustration is rushing back to me xD

You know what Sam you made the shape look like the state of Kansas
It might be ClueFinders 3rd Grade.
That anteater in the pizza game gives approximately zero fucks.
I wish I can play this game again! But I don't have a CD port! Let alone the CD. *sigh* why couldn't they turn it into an app like they did with Freddi Fish
I used to play this in 2nd or 3rd grade
1:25 Dora: Don't do it Sam, there's a storm coming, if you don't want you and Reader to be washed ashore who knows where, turn back!

Is it just me or does the song in the pizza game sound like Call Me Al by Paul Simon?
Duuude for so long I thought I was the only one...
I also though the sail making and fishing songs sounded like "Late in the Evening" :-)
my favorite character in the reader rabbit series is vermina

The pile of banana peels eating the other banana peels, as well as the monkeys eating the bananas is a very vivid sound I remember from my childhood and it's so weird hearing it again.
Geez, for elementary school kids this is a long-ass game
I remember first playing this when i was 6 and I got the first boat part and was like "yeah!!"
Then it showed me all the boat parts needed and there were around 40, but felt like to me 40000. It took me the summer holidays and I actually did complete it the night of halloween before trick or treating as a bat.
It truly did help with my maths skills though, as I got every single question right in the maths exam. Never since have i been able to do that though lol
Nostalgia
This definitely brings back my childhood i really emjoyed thos game. I remember my teachers would let me play for free time or as a reword for completed work or good behavior
