A little context: When Darby Allin is hitting people with Skateboard spots...the skateboard has thumbtacks attached to it. But keep in mind, AEW isn't a hardcore promotion like ECW was...you're just seeing a lot of the moments where they let loose, and being TV-14 allows them to get away with a lot more than WWE. AEW is more about long term story telling and letting the in ring work do the entertaining...so AEW is filled with great regular matches as well. AEW is coming up on being 3 years old, and I've never come away from watching a Dynamite (their flagship show) feeling like I wasted 2 hours of my life...they've been consistently great since it started.
As much as I love Rampage, I think it works better as an hour long show, especially as a member of the live audience. Buying a ticket to Dynamite(most of the time) also gets you access to Dark and Rampage, since those 2 shows are pre-taped. So from a live perspective, a 3 and half to 4 hour show is better then a 4 and a half to 5 hour show.
@@timeknowsfilmsproductions978 Even with Raw going Tv-14 that does not fix the storylines being boring. Also i highly doubt that any of the matches will be like the ones in AEW unless it deals with AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
Love AEW. It is not perfect but they are definitely more old school and Yes CM Punk, Jon Moxley (former Dean Ambrose), Chris Jericho, Christian and Matt Hardy are all there and JR has been the lead commentator with Tony Schaivone (formerly from WCW) along with Excalibur and Taz on some shows. It is thematically a merging of Japanese strong style, and American wrestling. With longer term story telling. The weakest part likely is the women's division but it still has a number of great wrestlers as well.
you forgot the other weak spot. The overstacked roster. They just keep signing and signing talent. And now they have very little air time to show off to the crowds
AEW probably, at the moment have weaker women's division, but damn, Brit Baker is tougher than even her boyfriend. I don't know what's with her and thumb tacks, I don't want to know, but she's definitely more hardcore than even Adam Cole (and Adam loves being dropped on chair's back support)

One thing I love about AEW is when they started, the owner had to sign some big names that people would want to pay money to come and see to move tickets but he also signed young, unknown guys that were working the Indies and hadn't caught their big break yet and this was their chance. Two of those unknowns were MJF (not shown in this video) and Darby Allin (Blonde madman) and they are now big names thanks to AEW Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) and Chris Jericho are two of the established names he signed to help move tickets. Dean had his contract expire, didn't want to be there any more and went to AEW, he was the last big signee before they started running regularly. They started in January 2019, had a few shows sporadically throughout the year and then TV started that October. Dean left because he hated the way the company was run while Chris left because he had gotten to the point in life and his career where he was never gonna be THE guy in WWE, was now pigeon-holed as a guy who goes on 2nd and he felt he had more to give. So he left and was their first Heavyweight Champion. CM Punk returned to wrestling last Summer and debuted for them in a 20,000-seat NBA Arena that they sold out on the RUMOR he would be there. He was gonna jump earlier but he wanted to see if AEW was gonna be just a flash in the pan or here to stay. He debuted, had his in-ring debut on Pay-Per-View and that show did their highest buy rate yet. Their debut in New York City was in Athur Ashe Stadium, first wrestling event to be held in that building and they did 20k Since Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho, more unknowns such as Eddie Kingston and more established names such as Jeff Hardy have jumped. Fun fact: the moment when Chris Jericho was covered with blood, and hitting the bald dude over the head with light tubes? That bald dude is Nick Gage, known for being very hardcore on the indie scene. His signature weapon is a pizza cutter, which he uses to slice his opponents open. He was using it on Chris... right as a picture-in-picture Domino's advert was playing. It caused a bit kerfuffle on social media because of it.
Next Wednesday night is Week 2 of Fyter Fest (mid season promotional event, not PPV) and Chris Jericho (heel) will be taking on Eddie Kingston (face) in an all barbed-wire deathmatch! Its gonna be frickin awesome. Absolutely love your channel BTW!
Dean Ambrose as he was known in WWE is now in AEW under his Indie name Jon Moxley. Quite a lot of former WWE stars jumped ship to AEW, mainly due to problems with WWE’s ‘creative’ department and their lack of any actual creativity. 6:34 that’s not thumbtacks, that’s Lego! 11:34 yes that is Chris Jericho, at the age of 50, in a death match against Nick Gage who is one of the most well known death match ‘wrestlers’. Jericho was the first major name to join AEW, over the last few years the likes of Matt and Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, Jon Moxley and even Sting who is in his 60s now and is still doing the kind of things he did 30 years ago! But there’s plenty of younger talent on display too including Darby Allin, the guy with blond hair and face paint most prominently featured in this video.
With a come-back from a Domino's pizza commercial to Nick Gage using a pizza cutter on Chris Jericho. Completely unplanned synergy (and holy fuck was Dominos NOT HAPPY)
"I would rather watch this every day of the week than what the current WWE product is." = EXACTLY! AEW is head and shoulders a more exciting product than what WWE is putting out now a days. Letting guys like John Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose), CM Punk, Christian, Chris Jericho and so many others live up to their full potential and choose more of what they want to do while also introducing the world to guys like Penta and Phoenix, Darby Allen and so many other talents that people weren't seeing on the independents. Welcome to the AEW team!
The "MGK" Lookin guy is Darby Allin. Yes that is Dean, he goes by Jon Moxley now. Yes that's JR. And Yes AEW is on air still. If you haven't watched it, you really should it's fantastic
Oh, and welcome to AEW. It's a combination of people who used to be (as of like ... 4 years ago) fairly big in Ring of Honor/New Japan (specifically Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Hangman Adam Page) and until earlier this year, Cody Rhodes, with a mix of ex-WWE guys (almost all of which have been used more or less better, with some exceptions), some of the best buys from the indies, all mixed together. They excel in long-term storytelling (one of their big stories took over two years to pay off, and STILL has ripples being felt today). They have shows on RUclips Monday and Tuesday nights (mostly squash matches and giving lesser talent changes to improve and all), Dynamite on Wednesdays on TBS, and Rampage Fridays on TNT. They have a lot (some may say too many) ex-WWE guys, but EVERY one of those 'WWE' guys were big on the indies BEFORE WWE. And all of this started with a web series called 'Being the Elite', some seven-eight years ago.
That said: AEW does have some weaker points. They do have JR and Tazz on commentary fairly often, and JR ... has a tendency to still use WWE names because of sheer habit, and Tazz (ESPECIALLY on Dark/Dark Elevation) kinda ... just kinda just says random shit. They have a fair number of people hurt right now (not because of crazy wrestling really, just ....bad luck, honestly. CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Jungle Boy (Luke Perry's son) and others all out at the same time, which has ... well, it's let other people shine some. They've also had some rough moments (especially early) although they improved greatly, then ebbed a bit, and are picking back up again. The women's division is honestly the weakest thing they have, and they've added some ex-WWE blood in there as well (Toni Storm and Athena -- ex-Ember Moon) but the focus appears to be almost entirely on three women: Britt Baker, Jade, and Thunder Rosa, the current champ. Muddying all of this up is the fact that Tony Kahn (the owner of AEW) also just bought Ring of Honor earlier this year -- presumably there's going to be a Ring of Honor TV show soon (first AEW-run ROH PPV is Saturday), and a fair # of the people in AEW and some ROH people (I would presume, again), will end up going off there, which might clear some stuff up. They have a LARGE variety of types of wrestlers, from comedy to serious, to hardcore, in a range of body size/types as well. They've done an exploding barbed-wire death match (which .... didn't go well -at all-), had a 'barbed wire everywhere' match like...a few hours ago, have done cinematic matches, matches in an entire stadium (2 Stadium Stampedes), their own take on 'War Games' called 'Blood and Guts' twice. They've also got their own takes on WWE's Money in the Bank ('Face of the Revolution') and Royal Rumble (...quite a few variants of this, honestly.). Strap in and just enjoy the ride, man :)
Someone already pointed out Darby but there's also Joey Janela in here. One of his tag lines is literally "Don't die Joey Janela" because he's just as psychotic lmao
For me, AEW feels like they've taken some of the vibe of ECW, but, with athletes who are more wrestlers than entertainers. Not to say ECW didn't have AMAZING wrestling, they did, they were just known for the ultra violence. But, the talent Tony Kahn has scooped up for AEW are all top notch athletes
The WWF(E) adopted the "Attitude Era" craziness in the mid 90's to combat and adopt the same styles seen in the more popular companies of the time (ECW and WCW). After Vince McMahon won the "wars" in 2001, the WWE slowly cut more and more graphic, teen-oriented content and eventually became a PG product more reminiscent of their 80's era, where their execs and writers could more easily dictate who to cheer and who to boo, and declare their own "stars" instead of allowing the audience to decide for themselves. The PG product is supposedly more attractive to kids and families, and more attractive for TV revenue and advertisers. Vince and WWE is set on operating in their own bubble of "sports entertainment", forming their segment of their industry in their own image. AEW is more reflective of where the industry evolved to on the independent scenes in the span of twenty years. The pure athleticism, the innovation, the comedy, the extreme brawls, all elements found in companies outside WWE. Quite a few stars in AEW now ( fka Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, Adam Cole, the Revival/FTR, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish) chose to leave WWE because of their frustrations and limitations they encountered.
That dive off the ladder onto chairs was to advance in the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament. Owen Hart sadly died by falling into the ring at a live event. What a way to honour him.
its cool af hearing your perspective on AEW being crazier than AEW because if you ask a wrestling fan theyll always be biased towards ECW lol but anybody unbiased is gonna say AEW.. even though the wildest of wild stuff was in ECW (the New Jack dives), AEW is more consistently crazy especially since the bar has been raised since the late 90s on what extreme is
You should watch 'Better Than You' it's the complete feud between CM Punk and MJF in AEW. It's long, you could maybe do it in parts but it's one of the best Wrestling stories I've ever seen. Basic gist is MJF is the biggest heel in the world right now, he was a huge CM Punk fan and its how that relationship soured when Punk left wrestling Amazing stuff!
man they didn't even show some of the craziest ones. and yes that was Dean Ambrose, yes that was CM Punk, yes that was Christian, and yes that was Chris Jericho. AEW is awesome.
I think it was Chris Jericho who said thumbtack spots actually aren't as bad as people may think... It's having someone pull all of them out of your back afterwards that hurts like hell.
Fun fact: AEW started in 2019 as a short wrestling touring company until gotten so popular that that stated being a full time wrestling show and Dean Ambrose did left WWE and change his name to Jon Moxley
People who are in AEW now that you might know: Christian Chris Jericho CM Punk Dean Ambrose Cesaro Rusev The Hardys Adam Cole The Revival (FTR) Daniel Bryan Goldust (Dustin Rhodes) Sting Neville Christopher Daniels Billy Gunn Vicky Guerrero Aleister Black Big Show (as Commentator) Mark Henry (as Announcer) Ruby Riott John Morrisson Ember Moon Samoa Joe And most likely a lot of others I forgot. Would really like you to react to NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling). They have some of the craziest Moves and AEW wouldn't exist without it. Especially Minoru Suzuki is really entertaining. Also Kenny Omega in his NJPW days was really good
AEW is now my primary wrestling promotion. The PPVs are available through FITE TV and are well worth the money. Weekly shows are Dynamite and Rampage (Wednesdays and Fridays respectively in the US) but are available to watch in the uk on ITV4. Personally I pay FITE for an AEW+ package which means i get access to Dynamite and Rampage ad free through the app. AEW have also purchased Ring of Honor Wrestling and will be showing PPVs for that through FITE. Well worth it if you’re into this. Left WWE years ago!!! The MGK looking dude is Darby Allen (awesome) Dean Ambrose is now going by his real name John Moxley.
Also the owner of AEW is also the owner of Ring of Honor currently as well. Tony Khan is his name. He has two promotions but three shows. Wednesday night dynamite for AEW Friday night rampage also for AEW and then whenever Ring of Honor is on. As far as a ring of honor goes I don’t know if they have specific show names so that’s why I just put it as a show.
I would highly recommend watching a couple episodes of Dynamite and see how you like it. This week would be a great week for it. Chris Jericho is having a barbed wire death match against Eddie Kingston. Promises to be a classic.
Adam: So. Darby Allin is the skinny guy who kills himself on the regular. Dean Ambrose is/was Jon Moxley and yes, he's in AEW. So is CM Punk (although he's injured right now). So is Bryan Danielson (used to be Daniel Bryan) and Claudio Castignolio (sp?) who was Cesaro, and same with Miro (ex-Rusev). A number of ex-WWE guys are there. Yes, Cody went through a flaming table (and fucked it up, which is why he was literally burning his skin there). Yes, Darby jumped onto Jeff Hardy and a bunch of chairs. Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara are routinely doing insane shit -- Sammy was thrown off of a steel cage into a gimmicked table 2-3 weeks ago.

facts - those type of ads shouldn't be on RUclips/TV
Gotta love the glass that turns into powder
I was there for the cody and Andrade flaming table spot in GA. I'm going to both shows these next two weeks cuz they in GA again
Jumping from that height to water hurts but imagine jumping onto chairs 🤯!
2:58 That guy right there is Jungle Boy Jack Perry. Son of actor Luke Perry.
This is pretty dope
Jon Moxlex is a hardcore icon He gets happy when he sees everyone suffer
I've been waiting for you to do an AEW reaction video for a while and it didn't disappoint!
More of AEW please!
Thanks for doing AEW man, please do more. I think there's a whole video of Darby Allin's crazy stunts
AEW is the best stuff around today in my opinion. This video definitely needs an update too.
Before his ladder match with Jeff Hardy Darby flat out said he wanted to end up in the hospital. So yeah, the guy is mental and we love him for it.
Thank you !! I am so with you on the damn ladder one !! And what the hell with the barbwire !!! They are all crazy !!! LOL
they're on TBS every Wed, Adam
6:35 were friggin legos. I remember watching this. Ouch.
7:33 Good God what a depressing ad!
3:26 "do a barrel roll"
--Peppy Hare
From Star Fox 64
At 6:36 those are not thumbtacks, those are Legos, which still hurt!!!
Thank you for this!
That's a trip they used one of my clips of gage going through the glass
Crazy how they put their Bodies and Lives on the line for our entertainment. Pro Wrestling isn't fake it's fixed
6:37 Adam those aren't thumbtacks. Those are.... LEGOS
Heyyy finally some AEW love
its cool af hearing your perspective on AEW being crazier than AEW because if you ask a wrestling fan theyll always be biased towards ECW lol
but anybody unbiased is gonna say AEW.. even though the wildest of wild stuff was in ECW (the New Jack dives), AEW is more consistently crazy especially since the bar has been raised since the late 90s on what extreme is
4:51
More wrestling videos! A lot of fun watching you react to em!
You should watch 'Better Than You' it's the complete feud between CM Punk and MJF in AEW.
It's long, you could maybe do it in parts but it's one of the best Wrestling stories I've ever seen. Basic gist is MJF is the biggest heel in the world right now, he was a huge CM Punk fan and its how that relationship soured when Punk left wrestling
Amazing stuff!
man they didn't even show some of the craziest ones. and yes that was Dean Ambrose, yes that was CM Punk, yes that was Christian, and yes that was Chris Jericho. AEW is awesome.
Amazing bro!
I think it was Chris Jericho who said thumbtack spots actually aren't as bad as people may think... It's having someone pull all of them out of your back afterwards that hurts like hell.
All hail the anointed one R.I.P Jon Huber
8:33 fun fact: the guy getting put into the table in this clip is none other than NBA hall of famer Shaquille O'Neal
Fun fact: AEW started in 2019 as a short wrestling touring company until gotten so popular that that stated being a full time wrestling show and Dean Ambrose did left WWE and change his name to Jon Moxley
People who are in AEW now that you might know:
Christian
Chris Jericho
CM Punk
Dean Ambrose
Cesaro
Rusev
The Hardys
Adam Cole
The Revival (FTR)
Daniel Bryan
Goldust (Dustin Rhodes)
Sting
Neville
Christopher Daniels
Billy Gunn
Vicky Guerrero
Aleister Black
Big Show (as Commentator)
Mark Henry (as Announcer)
Ruby Riott
John Morrisson
Ember Moon
Samoa Joe
And most likely a lot of others I forgot.
I was at the LA dynamite when MJF dropped that promo
Yes way better than anything WWE has put out in a long while
Aew has such a lot to offer. Not to mention they really listen to their fans and aren’t afraid to push it to the limit. 100% would recommend.
i went to aew when they had the st patrick's day slam it was the best wrestling event i went to in a while
Yes do another AEW Extreme Moments
7:32
**cancer kid on ad**
"I don't want to die please!"
Me: 😬
Adam: 😐
**Skip ad**
Sammy Guevara: **crumples on ladder**
Disappointed they didn’t show the spot where Rey Fenix got his arm ABSOLUTELY WRECKED.
AEW is probably my favorite wrestling tv show since like 2005 Smackdown & 2018 New Japan
and i dont say that just because the wrestling is good. the stories are on par with early 2000s Smackdown too
I would highly recommend watching a couple episodes of Dynamite and see how you like it. This week would be a great week for it. Chris Jericho is having a barbed wire death match against Eddie Kingston. Promises to be a classic.
It's on itv 2 during the week about 11pm can't remember the days
Video should've ended with Sue driving the Best Friends and OC away post parkinglot brawl and giving the finger.
The explosion was part of their barbwire exploding death match so everytime you hit barbed wire it explodes
You're a LEGEND and I'm always happy to see you green screen or not 😁 love you so much 💗 xoxo stay well
Everyone good is going to AEW ! Moxley (ambrose) , Brian Danielson (Daniel Bryan) Claudio (Cesaro) Punk, Miro (Russev) Sting ! Jericho, And that's definitely J.R. on commentary ! I love AEW..
Little girl: “I don’t want to die”
Adam: 👁👄👁 *skip*
That Ad though ... what placement
Watching AEW 4 free on YT is the best!
