I'm 63, retired, and live in Oregon. I love your sketchbook tour. I use mine for documenting my life about my travels, camping, plein air, urban sketching, food, things, people, and landscapes. I work with watercolors, ink, Caran d'Ache Neocolor ll, and soft pastels. My first sketchbook was of me practicing drawing. After finishing a couple books my grandkids always wanted to see them when they came to visit. It was then that I realized that they are going to fight over who got to keep G-ma's sketchbooks after I was gone. It was then that I decided to fill my sketchbooks up with as many experiences I have had. From nature sketches, to places we camped (so they could explore those areas too when they were adults), political stuff, covid stuff, environmental stuff, people (including sketches of them), etc. Basically these books are my visual diaries. I wish I had ancestors who left me their sketchbooks. The insights of their lives. I would have loved that. One of these days I will share mine here on RUclips. Meanwhile, I've subscribed to your channel.
That's lovely!! Thank you for watching and for sharing! I think being able to draw and record things in a sketchbook is such a beautiful way to observe the world (and as result, yourself).
I'm really impressed at the sheer quantity of observational sketches in here. I always feel weird drawing people in public, but I want to learn to do better.
Heyy! I am an artist from Plovdiv and I really really loved the sketches from here! They are so beautiful and I felt appreciated for my country and city🫶 (even tho it’s not a big deal cus you have family here, but still!)
I actually enjoy your philosophical approach to your art and that’s what drew me(no pun Intended ) to your videos. I enjoy the longer videos as well and the rants should def stay in the videos☺️.

Wow! Your comment about crow’s feet being the result of smiling so much made me smile. That’s such a beautiful way to frame it 😊

I feel the same way because I'm very shy, but I always think it's so cool when I see someone drawing in public ✨
Thank you!! The real challenge is trying not to make direct eye contact with with people when drawing them LOL

Lovely your sketches. For your marker and pen sketches do you use pencil before?
ty! I generally don't use pencil, I like how marker and pen sketches force me to be fast and confident with my lines ~
I love your life drawings of people, they look so good!
daaamn romania lost some ground :))) 1:40
What does it mean to render?
It's a bit of a broad term but it's when you finalize a piece by adding lighting and shadow to make it look more realistic/3d ~
