- Hello again! I'm back with another sketchbook! These usually take me 1-2 years to complete, so I always feel really accomplished when I finish that last page. I used a Stillman & Birn Zeta Series mixed media sketchbook, with 26 sheets / 52 pages. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and settle in for a stroll through my pages 💖

I sat and watched your video enjoyed seeing your sketchbook but I'm sat here looking now at my very blank new sketchbook still don't know how I want to start lol. I will maybe I watch a couple more of your videos first with a fresh cup of tea.
Another cup of tea always does the trick for me! A thought: you can take that teabag when it's finished steeping and blot it onto your sketchbook paper to visually "ground" that first page. Now it's not blank and you have some cool texture to start with :)

3:42 Mexico is such a biodiverse country you can encounter desert climates, semi-arid climates, tropical climates, and even snow if you go certain places in northern Mexico during December/February (like Arteaga, Coahuila which has the only ski resort in Mexico). Cabo San Lucas is definitely one of my favorite places alongside La Paz, I have so many good memories of those places. Also your sketchbook is so inspiring and makes me want to try the Zeta sketchbook and see if my comics will actually work with it.
I find your sketchbooks so incredibly inspiring! I know a while back you had a poll asking folks for video ideas. I would absolutely love to see a video explaining your thought process when you are building one of the multi-media pages. In what order do you lay down the layers? Collage first? Or drawings first? So interested in this and it's something I can't seem to get quite right in my own sketchbooks. Thanks for another great video!! I absolutely love your sketchbooks.

I love your sketchbook tours. I particularly like how you sometimes add patterned paper as a background. Can I ask what glue do you use to stick your papers and bits to your sketchbook? Thank you!
Thank you! My favorite adhesive is the UHU stic (archival gluestick) and I also like Nori Paste because it is repositionable so you have time to get it in just the right spot. It's also fun to tape things in with pretty washi tapes.

I literally binged ALL your videos and I have to ask- is there anything you cant do?! You're like Tolkien. Just being badass at everything you touch. It's so inspiring! The way you weave whimsy and wonder into not only your artwork but the story you are writing and the mural you are painting and the random things you are sewing. You have inspired me. Hello.thank you so much….I so enjoy touring your sketchbooks and the way you make them come to life. Little question…when you do graphite drawings do you do something to them so they don’t t smudge the other drawings ¿ thank you for sharing.
Hi & thanks for watching! After I finish my graphite sketches spray them with fixative. Good brands are Krylon and Winsor & Newton, both dry quickly. For extra protection I cut a piece of tracing paper to size and slide it in between the pages. ❤
