@@H0ttabych it's still useful for applications where you need the farm in a place where it isn't in the swamp, slime chunk or the overworld. You can build a slime farm literally anywhere in the world.
This is WAY cooler than old slime farms. The sudden influx of slime into the system makes it feel more industrial than just an endless stream, and there aren't many Minecraft farms like that
You can't really "breed" them since you don't need two. Basically they can duplicate with amethyst crystals while playing a jukebox. With only one Allay you can essentially have thousands with the right setup.

I like the idea of so many different farms coming out of just one type of farm. So converting an enderman farm into a slime and cobweb farm is very interesting to me.
Personally I like the allay torturing version of the farm. No capturing of hostile mobs necessary and you can build it anywhere. You can also kill the slimes with a looting sword to up the rates and it functions as an EXP farm without having to go to the end.

My worry about this potion effect is server owner management. If possible I would really love a server friendly version that is still efficient but lag friendly.
Is it possible to then splash the slime with infestation and then damage it in a way that makes it so they die slowly, and then can you splash the silverfish with oozing and start the whole process over with a positive output feed.
can you use boat-tp to transport the silverfish into a vine? If so, that might greatly increase the amount of silverfish you can collect before you kill them.
Considering that blaze powder lasts a long time in brewing stands, and the other materials needed are just water bottles, netherwarts, and gunpowder, wouldn't this be possible to FULLY automate, if it's a witch farm, that produces bottles and gunpowder as well, and have a nether wart farm running around it? I mean, it'd definietly be slower, much slower in fact, but it could be fully automatic.
Maybe make a bunch of dividers to take ~1/64 of the slime to be in a crafter, to make slime blocks which will then be fed into a brewing stand for more oozing potions? This way you could have an endless cycle without player input.
I'd be very interested to see if using a lingering potion of ooze for the enderman possibly near the top where they fall would improve the efficiency since the enderman can then just immediately fall to their death and take up less entities.
minecraft added this effect just for the purpose of making late game farms easier, i don't see ANY other purpose for this potion, and you can't convince me otherwise

Thinking out loud for the witch farm variant The entity cramming for the silverfish ciuld be fixed with a ladder but they climb it, so why not use something like a trapdoor against the wall above the ladder? You cal also pulse it on and off over 2-3 ticks (guesstimate) for the silverfish standing ontop to fall through. Then again they may be sitting ontop of the ladder. Idk i might test that edit: yeah just having a ladder works fine, they dont climb it aslong as its just below the iron fence connected to the wall. details in the discord
Update: basic test of pulsing the trapdoor with 2 rticks let's the silverfish fall into the trapdoor. I'm only in 1.20.4 and the fish aren't moving around, even if survival so I might need to build the thing in the snapshots and work in there with actual random movement. @@BananaDude508 I'm not sure the witch design works anymore in 1.21, because the silverfish spawn and climb the ladder and then entity cram everyone in the powder snow and then die themselves.
Would it be possible to add a slime farm "module" onto a gold farm? It would probably be relatively easy, just attach the clock and dispenser from here onto a gold farm and update the storage system to accommodate.
Does powdered snow not work on the open sides of the enderman chamber to keep pearls from flying off? Seems like it might kill the momentum but not prevent the slimes from shooting out, but I have a feeling you tried and it just didn't work, maybe.

With the crafter this farm can be FULLY automated by making some of the slime balls into slime blocks, setting up an auto brewery system to make the splash potion of oozing, and then boom, infinite slimes LMAO. Obviously you have to have a similarly auto brewery system for the infested potion, but that one shouldn’t be too difficult.
