This is my sons page but I’ve been doing this workout for 5 days and all I can say is WOW WOW this has decreased my pain significantly in such a short amount of time. I had sciatic pain back in 2017 and did therapy for 8 months out of the gym and I have been fine and recently triggered it again and I was so sad and in so much pain and this has been god sent!!!! One of the best pilates video for the lower back pain caused due to sciatica. I have been in severe pain for the past 6 months. Have started doing pilates video following this video and for the first time in the 6 months I am able to sit for an hour in one go. It was impossible for me till a week back.

Have you ever come across - Venayden Wanillian Method - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my colleague got great results with it.

this is a very good sciatica exercise, but please if you have been diagnosed with disc bulge then you gotta skip the bending forward exercises of this video. God bless us! Happy New Year! 😘💕
Yes. That’s my case. I also find that back ends worsen my symptoms. Instead of forward folds, I suggest “child’s pose” to decompress the spine.
When I sit for too long I have pains in my back lower back.The exercise helps only for a while when standing .Will it ever go away?

Thank you for this! I have done this for 1-week straight and the sciatica has been reduced. It’s still lingering but I know that it would be worse if not for this video. I searched other ‘Pilates for sciatica’ and even Pilates for beginners videos and watched about 5 and none were as thorough and effective with the exercises and flow. My chiropractor said (and I’ve read) that when sciatic pain localizes in the lower back, as opposed to radiating down the legs, that means it’s getting better. After doing this routine last night, and again this morning, the pain that had been radiating down my legs ceased, and localized in my low back. I’m on my way to complete and total healing. I have pain that keeps me from doing much at all, but if I do this is the morning I'm able to get through the day with much less pain. I even felt it in my stomach the next day (which shows how weak my core had become since my back and hip pain kept increasing and i began avoiding activity -just made it worse!). Thank you for this.

I'm a very skeptical person, but find myself humbled & astonished! I've had debilitating sciatic nerve pain for over three weeks now. It has kept me off work, too. I have had sciatica since 17yrs old, I'm now 59, some of these exercises she is demonstrating here are the exact exercises I have been told by several physicians never to do, wonder what qualifications she has to recommend this series of stretches.

I'm not a medical doctor but there are many reasons a person can have sciatica so it's always advised to use common sense before exercising and know what is contraindicated for your particular condition. In my 25 years teaching Pilates the exercises in this video have provided relief to the majority of my clients but I always go by what their doctor recommends for movement before giving them. Thankyou, been doing this for a month along with cardio and the pain is almost completely gone. I haven't had to use painkillers or ice/heat treatment since week 2. I would buy another workout from you to push myself a little further if I could.

I had severe low back pain since years I had surgery too in 2012 - but I have started these tips and my pain reduced up-to 90 %. you just check with your body which exercise posture reduce pain
no but a slipped disc can cause sciatica . Sciatica is the lower back and goes down on one or both legs. Sciatica nerve runs all the way down to the foot on both legs.
There are a few tips for relieving back pain pain at home
Eat raw food such as garlic
Take juices and thiamine
Don't lift heavy items
(I learned these and why they work from Zats back blueprint site )
Yes and no. More correctly, a slipped disc creates an environment that sciatica could result. Keep doing this video. You should find yourself a CBP Chiropractor.

3x a week is great and maybe once a day (gently) if you are having a pain attack.

You should follow the workout and if the stretch in the video is helpful you can repeat it a couple of times a day. You shouldn't do the stretch over and over again all at once.

Thank you for this exercise. I've had a bad case of sciatica for about 2 weeks now and I was searching for some effective exercises to start on. I think this will do nicely. It feels really good afterwards.

My uncle had Sciatica from last 5 years. He was unable to walk properly and took medicines from various hospitals but got no relief. Then he came to know about Chandigarh Ayurved Centre and took treatment from there. Now he is totally fit.

I've never done Pilates (or any other exercise before) what do you mean when you say "actively engage the muscles"? What does it mean when you say to push through and plug down?

HI Karen, great question. Without knowing your injury, I can't tell you what would help. I would suggest talking to your doctor to see what is causing the knee pain before starting a workout plan.
