If you're new to Pilates, the matwork is the key to building the strength and tone in your middle that gives you control over your movements and also makes your muscles flexible. When you learned from Mr. Pilates himself, he taught you the matwork first, and wanted you to memorize it and practice every day. In this video, Alisa delivers the matwork in a straightforward way so you can begin to remember it and integrate it into your own daily routine. It's like waking up and drinking a glass of water-taking your body through these movements is a simple, yet powerful means toward longevity and vital health.

I’ve been watching her beginner, intermediate and the max series for years now. With her 15M full body workouts you’ll warm up and strengthening all parts of muscles. You do one video every day, you will see phenomenal results! I do use her videos as a warm up prior to my regular yoga and weight trainings. I really appreciate all her work on RUclips, I wish she comes back with latest videos at some point. 🙏🏻👍🏻

Been doing workouts from Alisa for close to 15 years. She is excellent, knowledgable, and well spoken. Her pilates workouts work out well indeed. Only mystery is how are there so few comments here? I guess many just follow her on her main platform...in any case I imagine I speak for many when I say I greatly appreciate these free offerings. Hopefully she gets something from YT for these videos.

@Marian O'Rourke I had exactly the same experience - L1 fracture and 3 months in a back brace. Each fracture is different, so I reckon it's difficult/risky to say what will help. What surprised me regarding my recovery (still ongoing 3 years later...), doing exercise has been a massive help - it might seem counter-intuitive as it risks over-doing it, or injury, but small bits of exercise every day is what worked best for me. Light stretching daily is also a massive help. Flexibility and strength are the main things, as well as alignment and relaxation. God, it's not easy, breaking your back!

What a nice low-key work out--you have a pleasant voice, and 15 minutes is all I can take at this point in my life--I'm going to try to do this twice a week, at least--it's a very good little work out!
