Mysterious light unexpectedly emitting from the iconic (and probably epic) backup wheel of your Jeep, like a fighter jet nozzle ready to burst power. Unlike other spare tire lights with sparse dotted LEDs, XKGLOW's state-of-the-art LED disc illuminates the entire surface, so light is visible between every spoke. The sequential turn signal is our favorite function and you will never get tired of watching it in action. The integrated reverse mode illuminates the wheel in ultra-bright white light that no one can miss.

not the easiest video to follow
Do you guys have, or could make a quick video for the install with the tow package?
just but this but did not realize it was so much work. Bummer
LOVE mine! Put on a 2012 JK Sahara, eye turner and bright as ****!
Awesome! Glad you like it!
@@xkglowservice4243 gets noticed for sure!
Have you gotten pulled over because of the lights ?
@@iseeu10 not once
@@nccoach32 thank you
OK, got everything installed, plugged into the Tow package outlet, and it looks awesome. The only thing is I didn't know was what wire to tap into for the reverse lights to work. I just left the white wire loose inside the tailgate.
I have a 2022 Jeep Rubicon. WHAT WIRE DO I NEED TO CONNECT TO INSIDE THE TAILGATE?
Thanks in advance 😊
Every sub model uses different wire colors so the easiest way to find the reverse wire by using a test light to verify the wire
Will y’all be making a version of this tutorial video for the new Ford Bronco? Your website says it’s supported on the Bronco but there don’t appear to be any video tutorials for the Bronco specifically.
We will be doing one in the near future.
@@XKGLOW_Lighting Any idea when this will be coming out? Or do you have a wiring diagram that you could send me for the new ford bronco tail lights? I can’t find one anywhere.
The Installation video for Bronco is posted today. Here's a link for you: ruclips.net/video/AwNsABzXEuw/видео.html
I have a 2020 Jeep JL with the LED lighting package as well as the tow package. I wanted to hardwire the unit and not have to tie up my socket for towing however I could not get the unit to work. I ended up having to use the tow package plug. Everything works fine using tow package plug however I can't get the backup lights to work. I'm uncertain if the extra stand alone ground wire needs to be configured (to 12v supply). Love the lights but would like to understand why this function is not working. Also instruction for LED lighting package would have made it a lot easier, very little information available online.
The additional black wire is not a stand alone ground wire. That is the wire to make the reverse function work. The extra black wire needs to be wired to the positive reverse wire at the taillight to work. This is an optional function and does not need to be wired up for the rest of the light to work.
@@XKGLOW_Lighting the extra black wire gets connected to the reverse wire at the rear tailight?
What color is the reverse light wire on a new JL ?
@@nolanns2140 best is to use a multi meter on the right rear taillight open connector while the reverse gear is actuated
I am installing with the Tow package. Regarding the backup light connection, after I take out the passenger taillight, what wire in the taillight do I connect to so the backup light works? Your wiring guide diagram shows the reverse input wire to be Yellow. Is that correct? (Someone said that Jeep changes the wiring colors almost every year, not sure if that is correct. I have a 2023 JL Rubicon)
It will depend on your jeep. You may need to use a tester to verify the correct reverse wire.
Question Does the Jeep 5th wheel kit fit the Bronco Raptor tailgate 5th wheel mount?
Yes, it will work for this application.
What can you do if after installing is done and everything is working properly the dash lights up the right tail light saying the light is off but it’s actually working?
Have you wired in the built-in error canceler? There should be an additional red wire that you will run to a constant 12v source.
I bought 1 for my 2017 jk and the guy's at the shop didn't know how to get the turn signal to work. They told me to get a plug and play harnesses so I did and I had purchase another light. I haven't installed it yet but can you just use a plug and play harnesses and be done or no?
Please contact customer service at xk@xkglow.com. You should be able to to plug this directly into the 4 pin plug. If you don't have the tow plug, it will need harwired in. Customer service can help guide you through this.
@@XKGLOW_Lighting Ok thank you.
In this video did y’all hook up wires for the reverse light?
Yes. The reverse wire has to be wired directly into the taillight
Yes. The reverse wire has to be wired directly into the taillight
Is there any reason to keep the factory third brake light after installing this?
Yes. Our light is not DOT rated and is not intended to replace any factory lighting
Can you still use the third brake lite?
Yes. The 3rd brake light works independent from the 5th wheel light.
Do you get pulled over regularly because of this lights ?
There is no reason why you should get pulled over. It is just an additional brake light.
I bought this for my wife’s 2020 Willy w/o the tow package. I’ve installed it according to the video for hard wire with the CVT. The diagram in the video does not match the wiring shown for the passenger side tail light. I’ve verified power and continuity but the light hasn’t come on at all.
I have:
1) the green wire going to the yellow wire on the driver side harness
2) the red DC Input wire to the 12vdc in the trunk area (pink wire)
3) the yellow wire connected to the green wire on the passenger side harness.
4) the black wire to the black wire on the passenger side harness.
I do not have the extra red wire connected because it didn’t give a location to connect it.
Please help.
Follow up from last night. I just double checked all wiring. It is all correct according to your video.
I did a voltage check and have 12vdc on the red DC Input going into the CVT. I do not have 12vdc at the red wire coming out of the CVT on the 4 pin plug that connects to the XK Glow light. I am assuming this means the CVT Module may be faulty 🤷🏻♂️
Another follow up; everything but the reverse light now works. Should the black reverse wire from the tail light harness be connected to the white/violet wire on the tail light harness?
The other reverse wires from the CVT says they won’t be used.
@@donaldwhite4895 We do not have the OEM wiring schematic on your particular jeep model. You should be able to probe the wires to determine which one is the correct reverse wire to tap into.
On my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with tow package outlet, I have routed the wire through the tailgate into the inside of the Jeep . I took out the jack and inside the jack compartment there are no holes. How the heck do I get the wire from inside the jeep back outside to the tow package outlet. FRUSTRATED ! ! !
I just bought one today let me know how you ended getting it done
I figured it out they are a hole in the storage compartment
We have replied to your direct email you sent us
@@ericallen7852 This is what they sent me: Where the factory wires go through into the passenger side there is a pass through location that is blocked by a sound deterrent patch. You can punch a hole in it and pass through to the passenger side tail light location. From there you can find an opening in the frame to get outside the vehicle if you are trying to go to the tow package wiring
@@rickferko406 I figured it out. I didn’t feel comfortable tapping into the factory wires and there video wasn’t very informative

Not going to lie, this video is awful to follow. I love the features of this one, but debating on returning this item for one easier to install.
My apologies. Customer service is more than happy to help with any questions. xk@xkglow.com
Really hard to see your video. One it's not enough light to see what your doing. Not very good angles to see what yall are actually doing. I did really learn anything from it, to be honest. I'll look elsewhere for a better video.
Please contact customer service at xk@xkglow.com if you'd like any help answering installation questions. Thank you!
