Not sure if anyone needs this, but when i first tried, the screen stayed white after clicking "Install Dependencies". I had to go into Desktop Mode and update the ProtonQ in the Discover store, then Junk Store ran the Install dependencies and showed the text.
Absolutely perfect thanks for this, been trying to play Control on my Deck for the last year but it always crashed at the start screen where it asks you what DirectX version to use, bought it on Steam same result, pirated a few versions from TPB, same result. First try on Junk Store and it loads straight in.

I know its a dead horse, but i really just want kingdom hearts to work without a ton of jank or missing stuff. now, i know i could just emulate, but i really dont want to do that with any of them save days and re coded... all of that being said, this is a huge step forward from heroic launcher, and i look forward to what is done in this direction

I'm having problems trying to get TMNT Shredder's Revenge to run on the Junk Store, I've followed all the instructions, all the dependencies are there, the login worked, I can see my games, I installed TMNT Shreder's Revenge and it just hangs up and wont boot into the game, then it kicks me back to the previous screen, have you had this issue? the proton GE configuration is set up too, nothing that these tutorials mention is missing.... it's frustrating

Been playing through Cat Quest since I installed this plug-in. But when I launch any game that I installed this way, it launches a blank web browser page. I can just close it out and continue the game, but it's weird that it's happening. It's possibly due to me running a beta version of SteamOS and the DeckyLoader plugin for the beta OS, but not 100% sure
Cloud saves is part of the experimental features at the moment but it does work on the supported games I tried. You need the extra Patreon tier for experimental features
Is this a valid alternative to Heroic or Lutris? I'm incapable of using Linux and I'm searching a streamline solution to install games from all the stores.

@@RetroMannGaming im glad heroic games works for you it doesnt work for me i download fall guys it tells me missing game files fortnite will load into the lobby but when going into a match it kicks out of the entire game
@@Luke211992 Yeah, online games are a no go on the Deck, but that's the companies not working with each other. It would be easy making these games work, they just don't seem to like to do it.
@@RetroMannGamingI think my issue might be with the legendary flatpak, when in desktop mode when the line of code opens in the web browser, I copy&paste it to the konsole , hit enter, and after running I get an error. Looks different from the this video. Tried it several times just how it was done here but no luck still.
@@tannerarnett8793 I had a similar issue, but it has been resolved for over a year for me. That's a shame tho. Sometimes these apps will behave differently on different machines.

This is an issue the developer of Junk Store is aware of and may not touch for the time being. There are tutorials that have KH3 work on the Steam Deck that require an installation of media foundation (MF) applied specifically to this game through Wine/Proton, which may help make this game work within Junk Store, but I haven't tried this out.
They first said if it sells as many units as switch, they'll support it, but they've added things on top of that since then so it'll likely never happen unfortunately.

What are the pros and cons of the "junk store" approach versus Heroic Launcher? Can you run both simultaneously without issues?

Yeah this tool has the perfect name, its probably just saving our login information for later use. You’re better off with Lutris and such.

Yes it is. This replaced the need for lutris, heroic or installing epic directly
