This guy is a real musician with genuine passion for the art of music. He doesn’t care about the superficial side of the business . He just keeps playing , creating and mesmerizing those of us who have an appreciation for the deeper side of music. What a gem that I doubt the masses will ever understand.

A musical Genius. Ian sure knows how to paint a picture with his music. I’m officially going to say it, “ Ian Thornley is the most talented and gifted musician to come along in the past 2 decades! “ I myself as a guitarist am just blown away and lost for words by his musical greatness.” After Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Passing I never thought I’d ever have a guitar hero that I would look up to again and get to witness playing live. This guy has changed the way I pick up my guitar these days... thank you Ian. Cheers!

Ian and Big Wreck were never ever promoted in the US that I was ever aware of. In '92 I was listening to Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Metallica etc... and have been a rabid music fan ever since. I had never heard of Big Wreck until I stumbled upon it on RUclips probably 5 years ago.
Similarly, a couple years ago I stumbled upon a female singer named Lara Fabian who is the best female vocalist ever. Her stupid record company promoted only one of her songs in the U.S. off of her most boring pop album one time like 20 years ago. I remember hearing it and thought it was just another Celine Dion song. It's all a result of record companies failure to promote in certain markets.
I wasn't unaware of Ian because I have poor taste in music. His record company/marketing machine never made anyone aware of him here in Seattle. We can't know what we don't know. ;)

His voice sounds a lot like Sting to me - but better (and I'm a big Sting fan).. and those great guitar arpeggios are reminiscent of Andy Summers. Strange... I've only just come across him, but he's the best singer and guitarist I've heard in a long while. And his songs are great.... I'm a bit shocked at my own ignorance (although I get depressingly regular reminders of it :-) ) but I'm relieved and happy to have stumbled across a musician and a band as talented as Mr Thornley and Big Wreck.

My one-and-a-half year old daughter calls this version of the song "The Drum Song" and it's been her clear favorite song for about the last month. Thornley and Big Wreck should offer Randy Cooke some serious money to come on tour with them - his work here is so hypnotic and light years better and more engaging than any other drummer I've seen with Big Wreck. As an aside: my daughter started listening to "Ghosts" and "The Oaf" from the 2015 show when she was about 6 months old (mostly my doing at that point in time - it calmed her down and got her to sleep) and she still frequently requests Ghosts.
