Spotify randomly played Albatross on my way home a month ago. Never heard of this guy before then. Cant get enough of his music, beautiful voice and hell of a guitar player
i love back when musicians didnt care about screwing around on stage like this little riff battle between thornley and his slide guitarist, hilarious and adds so much too the show in terms of being unique. thats why i love music its so universal and its meant to just have fuckin fun you know?
Ian is grossly underrated as a guitarist, singer, writer
This performance is so bone chilling. The bass, the guitar, the vocals, the lyrics, the bandmanship. And Ian’s incredible stage presence and talent. I can’t stop watching. There is no greater talent on this planet.
What a ridiculous assemblage of talent! Ian Thornley is easily one of the most talented rock musicians on the planet today, and Andy Wood is just an AMAZING player in his own right!
Saw them live for the first time about six years ago. Life changing. Best band ever.
I must have listened to this like 400 times already. So good.
You seriously can't pack any more talent or tone on that stage. The fucking walls would crumble.
One of the most under rated guitarist of this and many more generations.. Wow what a wicked bunch of players
Steel is having so much fun. He gets tickled often at what he's doing. Makes the whole vibe of this show that much better.
It must be fun to be that good.
I was sitting there going, "hmm, they sound good." But when he hit the first 2 notes of the solo... my ear went up like a dog's... "WHAAAT?!" Brought back SRV's ghost for this track... incredible.
My GOD totally got lost watching them my old lady came in room and asked me if I was ok then I realized I was stomping my feet and head bobbing lol what a performance I've loved Ian since the 90's and Andy wood is one of my fav instrumental artist and travis troy is a straight beast thank u SUHR for this will be watching it a bunch !!! and wishing I had the money to buy Andy Woods sig axe
I love how the steel guitar player smiles after
Spread the news . Awesome band
Ian, you’re awesome, and you’re the star, but Dave...he’s awesome too! The base on this track is EPIC! (And I love how he looks like he loves playing more than life!).
Obsessed with this song.
Saw this a while ago, watched it again, and can't believe it doesn't have more views/comments than this....it's pretty badass. ALL of them are talented as fuck. Ian Thornley is ridiculous vocally, and with his guitar. I was lucky enough to see Big Wreck in a bar in the burbs of Montreal, with about 200 other people in '98 or '99 . Not enough of this these days...
Only RUclips would place an Amazon ad right in the middle of an awesome guitar solo
These suhr guitars and amps sound incredible! So proud to call Thornley Canadian!
