    Someone at the Adams store told me not to dilute this product... So I didn't. And the product didn't last very long because I used so much. I diluted the P&S Break Buster 4:1 in an IK foamer and got terrific results. The solution was not runny, I was able to scrub the tires throroughly and got fantastic results.

      I used it full strength one time and one time only. Every other application was at 5:1 because it’s so damn strong!
      Good bang for the buck to me because it truly does clean tires to a black state unlike other degreasers I’ve used in the past.

      So I went to local Adam's store (yes, we have a local Adam's retail outlet) and they suggested I get their eco wheel cleaner. I don't think it did an amazing job, and it cautions to not let a single speck of the fluid dry on the wheel of the entire universe will implode into a black-hole formed by what once was the wheels attached to the car. It is scary stuff, although it's good as a joint pain reliever. I got some on my hands and now I can't feel a thing. The Adam's store is good if you want to buy Adam's products. Not so good for not-Adam's products.

    disclaimer im now sponsored by admas!
    so before being sponsored by adams i always used P&S BB to clean my wheels and tires but recently switched to the Adams and i will say the adams does a much better job at cleaning my wheels "white wheels with ceramic coating" with the P&S i had to scrub my wheels way more then i had to with the Adams with the adams i only have to use a small brush to clean the small lettering indents on the wheels vs with the P&S i had scrub much longer and more of the wheel
    IMO both are amazing and for the price i would say the P&S might be better since its $10 cheaper per gallon but does require more product and more scrubbing
    but for me Adams is my go to even tho more expensive its a better product that i dont have to use as much of and spend less time scrubbing

    Don't know if it's the rubber compound but, Brake Buster doesn't do well on cleaning my Michelin tires. I really only use Brake Buster for cleaning the wheels only. I use water base dressings like Perl and CG VRP. For the tires, I've always get great results using Eagle One AtoZ Wheel and Tire Cleaner. It's been my long time favorite. It's not economical because they stopped selling the larger container years ago. One thing that I notice, is that, when I use anything but Eagle One I get a lot of greasy grime buildup on my tire brush. I've tried other cleaners and degreasers but, I'm still favor Eagle One. I just recently bought Adam's Tire and Rubber cleaner which, I'm hoping will perform equal to Eagle One. I don't mind having a dedicated cleaner for my wheels and tires.

    Is there a particular reason why so many detailers tend to use hand pump foam sprayer to spray on wheel when they have multiple foam cannons can be use on wheel more quicker? I’m curious, can you tell me why?

    • @MrHuff05
      @MrHuff05 Год назад +3

      I'm guessing to eliminate cross contamination. They might want just the hand held foamer to be for when they clean wheels which are much smaller than the rest of the vehicle. Of course after you are done with either you should run water through them to clean out any residual chemicals. Also to cut down using much stronger chemicals through the cannon. I'm just guessing here. I'm not a professional detailer but it's just an educated guess. I hope this helps.

    • @TheCarDetailingChannel
      @TheCarDetailingChannel  Год назад

      I’ve actually never tried a wheel cleaner in my foam cannon. Mr. Huss correct. I have two foam cannons. One mainly for ph balanced gentle car wash soaps and one for stronger alkaline soaps/strip washes.

    • @joeschmoe6908
      @joeschmoe6908 Год назад +4

      A foam cannon dilutes the chemical with water from the hose. The maximum concentration you can get with a foam cannon is around 7-1, and that's with a low gpm pressure washer.

    I have a gallon of P&S and I’ve used it with the ink foamer and a spray bottle diluted from weka to strong and I never seen the brown off the tires but I used the green bottle of turtle wax wheel tire cleaner and the brown shows up right away. So I just bought a gallon of adams cleaner and we’ll see if it turns the wheels brown or not. The turtle wax seems to clean better but they don’t sell a gallon on the green bottle they sell the hybrid though.

    What does it mean 1 part solution 4 parts water? I’ve read about this a few times but don’t understand if someone can explain this dilution ratio concept. Thank you.

    • @shoaibahmed34
      @shoaibahmed34 Год назад +5

      You are essentially diluting the product that comes in a gallon or in a smaller bottle from the store to make it last longer. Any product used as is without diluting it will of course work as well as it possibly can because its as strong as it can be. When you dilute the product with water, it becomes a little weaker but it still does a great job at cleaning. Benefit of diluting the product is that it will last much longer saving you money in the long run.
      4:1 Dilution ratio works like this. For example in an empty bottle, you add 400ml of distilled water and then you add 100ml of the product (wheel cleaner). Now you have 500ml of solution that you can mix up and use in a foam cannon, in a spray bottle or in an iK Foam pro used in this video.
      You now have 500ml of solution that can be used to clean all the wheels but you only used 100ml of the actual product saving you 400ml of product.
      For other applications, you can dilute it even more to a 10:1 ratio saving you even more product. You'd get 1100ml solution (1000ml of water and 100ml of product) to clean the same wheel or tires. Now it will be even weaker than 4:1 ratio so you'll just have to apply the solution couple of times to get the tires fully clean.
      Hope that helps. Cheers!

      No response on the towels, hunh? Well, I'm probably going to go down to Masterson's today. They've got some pretty decent pricing on microfiber towels. Mine seem to get clogged up with mineral deposits from our brutally hard water here. It's like 750ppm dissolved solids. I don't think it's illegal, but it's a lot. Washing towels doesn't clean them, it just saturates them with calcium and lime and all sorts of other dissolved minerals. I guess it's that way because the water company stores it's water in natural underground aquifers that are, guess what, giant natural stone cisterns. Lots of sandstone around here. I try cleaning my car and I end up smearing as much dirt on it as I clean off it. It's annoying. Entropy. Mother Nature. I hate all that stuff.
