Picked this up for $429 open box at Best Buy on a whim yesterday and been SUPER happy with it. Definitely need to tweak the levels to work better for my room though. Just trialed Dune and Dunkirk on 4K and it sounded phenomenal for the price and blows away my 4.1 Samsung system I bought 3 years ago that was only $100 less.
I have this and it's really great. Don't us the Atmos feature unless your source is broadcasting Atmos , it will send bad signal to up firing speakers. Leave it on auto. When it kicks in for a movie it's freaking cool 🤣
Just picked this up, the subwoofer was placed behind my couch. It's not as strong as i thought it would be. I don't really hear the bass to much only on some parts of the movie. Any suggestions, I've also turned the bass as high as it goes.
I don’t know-your reaction, it seems you’re not blown away…so for $499 I don’t think it’s worth it…?? I have a 2.1 with sub…would it be much of a difference?
Excuse me, friend, which one do you think is a smarter purchase, the VIZIO Elevate 5.1.4 P514a-H6 or the M-Series Elevate 5.1.2 M512E-K6, I would like to see a comparison video between them and know which one is more worth it.
It sounds like the P514a-H6 is superior. You get more speakers, plus you have 2 upfiring speakers in the back too. The app sounds like it doesn’t work but for being older, it’s still superior. I’m leaning towards the M-Series Elevate just because I’ve never had a soundbar so I think it’ll be good enough for me. Plus it’s newer and if I was going to spend the money, I’d personally just go with Sonos and upgrade piece by piece. Overall it sounds like both are great choices, but the OG Elevate will handle atmos content much better
My soundbar does not detect the Dolby atmos signal whenever I watch Netflix. I'm using my Xbox series. It does work for video games and for the Dolby access app on the Xbox. It also works for Disney Plus. Any reason you can think of that it wouldn't work for that specific app? I made sure I was streaming Dolby atmos content. I also have the latest firmware.
It’s a bug within the Netflix app on xbox. Others have stated the same thing and mine also does the same. So I have to stream Netflix through my tv app then it recognizes Atmos. There’s nothing wrong with your sound bar though. Everything else on my xbox streams Atmos correctly though, the only one that doesn’t support Atmos right now is RUclips. And Netflix is supposed on xbox but it’s just bugged. Hopefully Netflix will fix it soon (or Microsoft if it’s actually a xbox problem)
@@Gsquared360 no problem! Also you should swap your RCA cables that attach to the sub then to the surround speakers. The ones it comes with (the blue and gray ones) are too skinny and weak to carry enough bandwidth to sound good. I just bought a pair of red and white ones (Red = right. White = left.) and it sounds much better. You can buy a nice pair anywhere from $15-$30.
The cheaper h6 is probsbly more worth the money unless you want the better sub and the cooler looking led lights and rotating speakers... But people need to know they quietly replaced the 512 H6 with the J6 and that one comes with a much shittier sub
I just bought the new 2022 elevate but I’m considering returning and getting the 2020 elevate due to the fact that the 2020 version has a 8’ subwoofer and the 2022 one only has a 6’ Also the 2020 version has has up firing speakers in the 2 rear surround speakers where as the 2022 version only has forward firing in the 2 rears. I like the look of the new version better but I may return cause it seems the 2020 version is still a better pick

They suck , they sound super muffled for some reason and with a price tag of 799 is a joke they’re not wireless and have terrible audio just like the other Vizio I was upgrading from . I’d buy just the sound bar and bass without the gimmick tweeters .

I can get open box for 380-420 rn... Is it worth it? Or should I buy the cheaper m series J6 model for 100 less?

Sorry but to me elevate has a bigger sound and bass is more punchy than the regular m series. I have both of them

This is okay sound bar. Dolby atmos is very weak cant even hear the height up firing speakers. All gimmick
