I recently bought a factory reconditioned model of this soundbar, and found out that the power cord for the sound bar and the subwoofer are totally interchangeable.
I'm using the long cord that is supposed to be for the bar for the sub, and vice versa, and there're no issues. They just assume that some people will wall mount the bar, so they supply a longer cord for that possibility. But the product is perfect for a bedroom... it's like a cinema.
Need more reviews like this one. More detail is always better than less.

I have the exact same box spread open in my bedroom right now and just set it up last night. This specific Vizio M51a-H6 is hard to find. The Vizio M51a-J6 (J vs H) has a 5" sub and is easier to find.
I bought my Vizio M51a-H6 from Costco for $300, $30 less than Best Buy sells the J6.
The sound quality is just incredible for the price. The ability to set distinct levels for surround, surround balance, sub, bass, treble, and dialogue is very useful.
Do you still have yours? Lots of reports of them crapping out on people
@@CureSmithsPixies really? Yeah, I still have it and LOVE it. One issue is that sometimes it doesn't detect the HDMI eARC signal and I must turn my TV off and back on again. Otherwise, it looks and sounds incredible hanging just below my wall-mounted TV.
I hope mine doesn't crap out.
Might be late in this, but change the audio to Dolby or DTS in the PS5 settings. Will fix that issue right away
what sucks is ps5 does nor support Dolby vision or atmos. Only Xbox series x does.
Sir I'd like to commend you on doing the best possible review on this product. I was not to sure on what speaker system to buy but my mind is now made up and I'm buying the Vizio M51a-H6! Continue to do what you are doing you are awesome!

Just to let all your viewers know, the version being sold at Best Buy is a different model number altogether. It’s M51ax-j6 at Best Buy signifying a 2021 model whereas this model is M51a-h6 signifying a 2020 model. The only difference that I am hearing about is the 2020 model comes with a 6” sub and the 2021 model comes with a 5” sub.
Yeah didn’t want to make the Best Buy one look bad cause apparently the sub is the weak link. Thanks for the heads up.

According to Rtings, the latency on the 2021 model is significantly higher over all inputs. We're talking 26ms on the 2020 vs 100ms+ on the 2021. Not sure why that is.
Is sub woofer wirelessly connected to Sound Bar ? Does it available in indian market or Amazon or Flipkart ?
How did you get the sound through your PlayStation? I have my sound system connected to e-arc but not getting sound from my PS4 through the surround sound.
Maybe check your tv settings. Turn on hdmi cec. On my Samsung I have to set sound to receiver.
Sometimes your tv doesn't support eARC. Mine doesn't so I had to change it from eARC to HDMI input on the soundbar
So is your final take on this that the sound is ok? I actually want this soundbar, made the huge mistake of buying an all in one Samsung soundbar (S61A) and choosing it over the Vizio V51 (to pay less on tax since I live outside the US), now I’m here regretting it but this M51 soundbar seems amazing for the price, how’s the Atmos?

Set tv options to output in Bitstream and adjust delay in Vizio menu. Good to go !
I bought the Visio V series never opened the box returned to Sams Club today because of all the negative reviews, the M series had similar complaints and the box said IPHONE ,APPLE ,I have a Android so I did not get the,M series after returning the V series, whats your thoughts ,biggest complaints are speaker stopped working or blue tooth issues .Thank you
M Series is a better product overall. Should work fine for your android because it only does Bluetooth.
i just got this soundbar and if you turn on the TV will your soundbar automatically turn on? Mine doesnt, I do have a samsung 7 series tv as well
Can I plug my series X into this with the supplied 2.1 high speed cord? Will Atmos work this way?
How do you get dolby atmos to work ? Do you need a TV with eARC, my TV only has hdmi arc & I am using a high speed hdmi cable ! Thanks, love your channel !
Your tv has to be able to decode atmos, if not then u have to plug your soundbar into a blueray player that decodes atmos/DTS:X
@@Pwilly1984 bought the new Toshiba 43 inch 4 k , earc & it does support Dolby atmos, Dolby vision, hdr,hdr 10 & I still can't tell if I have Dolby atmos on this vizio soundbar. Which the soundbar does have Dolby atmos feature ! Thanks ! BTW I am using a 2.2 ultra high speed hdmi hooked up to the earc port. Thanks
@@danielcordero7761 u can tell by reading the lights on the left side(i think) on the sound bar. If a little light, lights up green for a few seconds, then thats mean atmos is in fact working. Mine does that on my M-series 5.1.2 vizio atmos bar. Hope that helps! Oh and since ur TV has eARC as u said then just soundbar into earc port and your good :) make sure u enable earc on your TV if its required. Dig in tv settings. Lemme know if it works for ya

I've been looking at the klipsch cinema 600 soundbar surround system. My budget is around $700 or less. Have you heard of that system?

You didn't use the included hdmi cable right? You swapped it for a hdmi 2.1 and connected it through EARC on your tv?

Does one need to upgrade to the 2.1 hdmi still if using the Xbox to watch blu rays? Don’t really care to have it for gaming since I wear a headset. Looking at getting the new M512 setup.

Have you heard the older model 5.1.2 F6...both are the same price on ebay but the the F6 comes with 2 upfiring speakers on the soundbar and a bigger 6" sub plus it supports chromecast and wifi. Im not sure how the M1 -H6 is dolby atmos capible since there are no upfiring speakers in the soundbar. I actually called Vizio and they had no clue about there own products. I spoke to tech supports and the guu had never listened to anyɛ of their soundbar systems lol. Looking at their website the m1a-h6 was $399 and the m1ax-j6 was $329, the next day i looked again and both were $329. The only difference is they H6 now has a 6" sub and the j6 has a 5"..im confused because every listing and reveiew says the H6 has a 5" sub and why would both models be the same price. Im thinking of going with the the older F6 model which has yie dolby atmos, anyone heard both?

Did you ever fix the audio lag. I get the same lag with my xbox one x when playing games but no lag when I watch hbo max on my xbox and sling on my roku. Any tips would be awesome. My tv is a vizio to
Thats one thing i never understood. I tried 4 different soundbars with my one x and it seems any game with atmos then theres slight lag in sound. My ps4 pro is perfect sounding so it must be an xbox/atmos thing as annoying it is. I got use to it. Just get a soundbar with atmos features that sounds best to YOU and maybe a sync feature and just enjoy it :)

The Vizio M512a -H6 has 2 upfiring speaker on top of the bar. It's another one that's very hard to find.

2.0, u need to upgrade to 2.1, vizio with green ends. VIZIO XHC21-81G Ultra High-Speed 8 Ft HDMI 2.1 Cable 10 dollars on eBay.
This is good for my gaming PC, Atmos explosions mixed with 120 FPS on World War 3 is mind-blowing. I may check out God of War when it comes to PC, maybe.
So question is now should I get this one or the V51-H6

@@Gamerment Oh my . I play the mobile version every day on my iPad, a lot of times a day NUKETOWN map. The area is the same but the buildings and suroundings are different. This game you play everything is so dirty.
Anyway, I went to Best buy today to try the Bose soundbar 700 but I ended up spending some time with the VIZIO and JBL soundbars. They really impressed me.

This bar does not support HDMI 2.1 unfortunately.
Also PS5 does not support Dolby Atmos or Vision. That's an Xbox series X exclusive.
do you think the onn. 42" 5.1. 2. Dolby Atmos Soundbar is a better choice when compared to this Vizio sound bar for Dolby Atmos / immersive sound for 4k movie ?

Love the soundbar but the app/Wi-Fi suuuuucks lol
After some time using this sound system, i can confidently say that this product is disappointing. Yeah it has great sound but you can’t experience it because the sub/surround speakers cut off every few seconds.
Does the "dialogue enhancement feature" help with improving the dialogue?
Yes but only a little. I would say maybe like 15%.

A LOT of fake audio distortion from Vizio. If you want a true Atmos experience, buying a receiver is a must.
not really, vizio makes systems that can pull off the atmos just fine.
