I know you stated you didn't hear a difference, but with my headset, I could hear a very clear difference. I purchased this soundbar and love it, different tastes for different people, but I have a smaller living room/dining room combo and the sound travels perfectly and with extreme clarity. The best soundbar I have purchased for its class and money.
I bought mine about 6 months ago & my center channel speaker stopped working , I switched the output on my tv to PCM & that corrected my issue ! Their was a firmware update available, but I don't own a computer to download the file to a thumb drive. I contacted vizios tech support & they sent me a thumb drive with the file @ no cost ! They even walked me through the process to update the soundbar ! Thank you very much vizio !! I highly recommend this soundbar & the Dolby atmos sounds fantastic !! You have to be watching Dolby atmos content to experience it ! Netflix has a lot of movies in Dolby atmos !
Hey there! I'm so glad i found this comment. I just bought the same sound system and I'm experiencing issues with the center channel speaker. When i started testing the speakers with movies, I realised that everything works except the dialogue. The center driver produces sound but it's extremely flat, lifeless, dull, outrageously off. On netflix, whenever I'm switching from 5.1 sound option to regular, the dialogue seems to be alright although I'm not sure it's coming from the central driver. If I'm switching the "Digital sound out" option on my TV to PCM the center speaker seems to be alright, still sounds flat and dull but at least it has some volume and 5.1 works, not sure about 5.1.2, but on "pass through" it doesn't work. No matter the settings, whenever I'm doing the "speaker test" from my Vizio remote control, the center driver is how i described it earlier. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be??? I updated the firmware, I restarted and reseted the speakers every way possible. I turned the central speaker to the highest level and did the same thing for dialogue. Even when changing the EQ settings the announcer voice is the same. After each reset the announcer voice seems to do fine, but after playing something with surround sound it goes back to being off. I'm now wondering if it's the hardware itself, but I'm hoping it's not because i purchased the speakers from USA and I'm living in Europe so sending them back it's not an option. Is there anything else I can try? If it's a hardware issue can i change the central driver?
You should do a video explaining this because I'm reading a lot of people having this issue. And people like me that are not native English speakers can work more with the visual. Glad you could solve this issue.
Thorough yet concise vid. Will ref when my sb arrives tomorrow. Especially appreciate you sharing the diff effects and levels. Listened to YT vid w AirPods and could hear each distinctive effect. Very excited to receive sb. Thx!
Thanks for the video. Well done. I've been looking at this model and like the features. When this unit first launched the latency was reported to be horrible. Newer units or installing their later firmware was the solution. You obviously have the newer version. You mentioned some latency via Bluetooth. As long as the eARC content syncs I'm fine.
I like the recommended settings you provided and explanation of the features. Good review. Thanks Please can you repeat one more time in your reply. Direct setting isn’t loud for me. Should it be direct and then surround dual??? Or Movie and then dual??? Movie is louder for me. Anything else off makes it quieter, and it needs to be nearly max to enjoy. Thanks again
Mark thank you very much for your video, is excellent but I have one more further question that you didn't mention, because I have a dude with the remote control, did I always have to use the Vizio Remote Control to turn on the Soundbar or once I have set it can be turn on and off with the TV remote control automatically when I turned it on
I've got one of these and the surround sound is really good... And with the right movies you can hear the Dolby Atmos... And you could hear sound above you... But it's got to be the right movie
If one side of the soundbar is low, put a black washer between the bracket and sound bar on the low side. Won't be noticeable and will even out the soundbar.
I have SCREWED up my sound bars settings!!! I bought this for my classroom, and my tech geek kiddos (I teach seniors) set it up!!! It was going GREAT!!! But then....I have hit things on my remote that have made it where I can BARELY hear anything at my desk, there is no surround from subwoofer & satellites, just center!!! And I have EVERYTHING up on all levels of the sound bar's center. Yes... I have surround selected on the remote (it is "ON")!!!
For level settings on my remote I don't have the height channel adjustment. Is that only available under specific EQ presets or while atmos content is currently playing, or do I somehow have the wrong remote?
Did those come with those cheap ass plastic wall anchors? I hate them and would never personally use them, even tho they will probably work for something this size/weight. Personally, I'd use an anchor (toggle wall anchor) that locks itself behind the dry wall, which you can pickup at HD for pretty cheap. Toggle straps would work great as well. Even cheaper would be your standard toggle bolts.
I was pretty much satisfied with my system until about 2 months later I started hearing a buzz at certain low level beats. I do no play system load. It’s just in the right speaker. And of course it’s to late to return. 😠
Can you try something for me? I have the M512a-h6 also. I can't get the bass volume to increase or decrease in sound when going to "bass" setting on remote and turning it up and down. The light moves up and down, but the bass sound stays the same from the subwoofer. I don't think this is normal. The only setting that changes the sound of the bass subwoofer is the "subwoofer" setting on remote. Can you try to turn the bass up on subwoofer by the "bass" setting on remote on yours and see if it works and let me know? Thanks
Mine does the same thing, but I think that is how it's supposed to work. I think the "bass" setting is to get deeper levels when people are talking, which is probably why we can't really tell the difference. Overall, I think this is a very good soundbar, I just wish the bass was better when there are explosions or when it's called for. But what can you expect from a 6-inch sub right?
Think of it like the bass adjustment is for the bass coming from the sound bar itself, and the subwoofer setting is for the subwoofer itself. Since the subwoofer only kicks on at a certain frequency. Changing the base will change the subwoofer, but by very little and.
Just a tip, but try moving the sub around in the room if you can. I had it up front near the tv and it sounded OK, but now I have it behind me. I have to turn down the bass now to even watch anything! Hope this helps!
My dad wants this sound bar. In my parents tv room he doesn’t have the space to put the speakers in the back of the couch and doesn’t want to put them on the walls. Is there an option to turn the satellite speakers into front speakers like other Vizio sound bars?
If you have to use the surround speakers in front, I'd recommend using the dual mode for surround. It won't be as good as having them set up in the back, but will work the best for that kind of setup. I hope this helps!
Nice video. But I think you need a bigger TV. This soundbar just seems to be over kill for the size TV you have. I know what I'm saying sounds stupid. BTW I'M looking to buy the same soundbar. I know I missed two sales in the past. One was $349.99 at a number of places. And a couple of times it was $249.99.
So you can get Dolby Atmos through ARC if your TV has Dolby Digital plus, it will be lossy, so not the full lossless if you had e-arc but you can still experience some of the upfiring speaker effects💯

Welldone. Is it possible to pair sound bar with with any other wireless Subwoofer?
I've tried. No go
Came for the sound test...heard nothing but you talking over it. Wonderful job, buddy.

Thanks again I set up mine, while watching your video.
Add a washer or two in between the mount and the soundbar on the right side to fix the leveling!
I've got one of these and the surround sound is really good... And with the right movies you can hear the Dolby Atmos... And you could hear sound above you... But it's got to be the right movie
Specific blurays will indicate Dolby atmos like " The Super Mario Bros " movie.

Does the sound bar match up with the people on TV or are they a delay

Awesome job explaining the remote! TY
How is the delay due to Bluetooth? Is there any delay?
Fantastic review! New subscriber, love your reviews!!
Outstanding video! Very detailed. Thank you so much just subscribed.
Awesome information! Thanks for sharing
Have you tried the newer M series Elevate 5.1.2 A-K6 model?. Curious if it actually sounds better than this H6 model?
GreAtly done video,Thank you so much 👍🏾
What set up do you recommend for football games??
Nice video
Thanks for the review!
Put a washer between bar and mount on right itll level it out easy
Thanks I will try it out
the music setting sounds the best
How does the atmos sound off of the sound bar under the TV, meaning the speakers are projecting into the bottom of the TV? Just curious.
For level settings on my remote I don't have the height channel adjustment. Is that only available under specific EQ presets or while atmos content is currently playing, or do I somehow have the wrong remote?
Do you think this one is better to tcl ray danz?
What about the M-Series all in one 213 they said it's best value and sounds good
Thx for the video
Why my rear speakers not working how can i fix it?
Can i use this Soundbar with remote control ?

how do i take it off demo mode?
If you say bluetube ooooone more time! Funny is as I'm typing this the remote says BLUETOOTH 23:50 😅 🤦🏿♂️
If you change the levels on the eq. Dose it save that setting for that one eq that you changed.
no

Buy speaker stands for the two little speakers. Put them ear level

Is the hdmi cord 2.1??
You don't need that as the soundbar doesn't have HDMI 2.1, only EARC

❤
Why so high up? Seems like you won't get the best sound.
The real question is why do you a have a tv on the ceiling almost? 😂
I don't believe you're going to experience Dolby Atmos without EARC on your TV from my understanding.
So you can get Dolby Atmos through ARC if your TV has Dolby Digital plus, it will be lossy, so not the full lossless if you had e-arc but you can still experience some of the upfiring speaker effects💯
Without? It has it man. !!
@@lokito3333 He clearly stated the TV did not have EARC.....just ARC
@@MugatuJag Good to know...thanks!
