I schooled with this lady in KU and i can tell you for sure, she was in a class of her own. She was driving, suave, and on top of that, she took a tri-semester to finish early.

This case would have been settled out of court

Omari is tough...those men who encountered him as the District Children Officer in Kirinyaga many years ago would never wish to meet him in a domestic litigation...tough is an understatement...he was lethal then as he is now.

Ordinarily divorce cases in Kenya are heard in camera. Even their names are initialized for privacy...so I didn't understand why they are publicizing this to the public!
It's true,divorce matters are rather private but in this case there is public interest owing to the fact that she accused him of fraud and abuse of office

Miraa is just a drug and for sure a part from small Economical benefits to the few growers and sellers, the larger damage is impacted to the youth of all consuming communities either in Kenya or Else where. The youth composed of young men and women addicted to khat or Mirra in Kenya had a big loss both Economical and Heslth wise to the youth of this nation, consuming communities. Those who think the questions lawyer Danstan Omari is asking are stupid. As a lawyer, he has to prove to the court that indeed the Parties to the case were married under customary law. There are things that have to take place for a ceremony to qualify as customary ceremony one of them being exchange of gifts (token of appreciation to the girl's family). That is why he is insisting on the car which Mithika gave to the Kitany's mum as a gift and ensure it is not misconstrued as anything else but a gift!! Also the miraa part is part of Meru traditions while marrying a subsequent wife. You're welcome.

Lawyer Omar is asking the right questions. He has to make sure nothing is left out according to what they tabled in the affidavit. It's the only chance she has. It's supposed to be the way Omar is doing. The question may look stupid but they proof a point.

He is asking her the right questions. I have ever been there. He has to make sure everything is not left there coz it's recorded according to the affidavit they have presented in court. They seem stupid questions but they prove the point.
