One of the best videos. Somehow it's all so real. I can imagine what the first to summit must have felt like, entirely alone, just two people, either Mallory and Irvine, or Hillary and Tenzing, going to the top of the world's highest mountain, something no one had done before. Isolated from the world, very isolated, knowing they had to get down, too. Must have been a bit tough, turning around to start down.
Yes, this is perhaps the best summit video of Everest because the camera was enough away from the climbers (drone?) that you can see the full scale and slope of the walk up to the summit, as well as from the top so it can clearly show the angles around the summit. The weather was not good, but I like this video because I can see the slopes clearly. Hard to see when the climber shoots from his immediate perspective, which distorts slope. It was necessary to shoot this from about, say, twenty feet away, as with the drone. It was hard to see the slope of the Hillary Step, but after it this is the best summit video.
The silliest comment ever on an adventure. One must have balls of steel, even only to think about climbing Mt. Everest. There're many people resting forever on this mount.
Life isn't that easy and one can die anytime , anywhere and those who dare to take risks really enjoy what's the life all about so just enjoy them doing all this and thank them for providing such video of an adventurous mission and the rarest of rare sight of mighty Everest !🙏🌹❤️

The number of people who die climbing Mount Everest each year varies, but the average is between 4.4 and 6.2 deaths per year. You would think this number would would go down over time due to improvements in technology and just the overall experience of the climbers and sherpas, but 2023 was actually the deadliest year on record! 17 People died on Everest last year. I get seeking thrills as a human, but its not worth losing your life over it. Just go skydiving or something. Its much safer!
I used to think like you, blaming climbers putting their lives in risk until I watched a climber's interview. She was physician by profession but loved climbing. It gives them a sense of achievement that no one experience unless experience it. Life without sense of achievement is useless and meaningless. Let people pursue what they like and decide for their life--an arbitrary life that you had no choice in choosing it.
When I see the guys on the top, I feel dizzy, almost fainting, If I was there on the top, I wouldn't be able to look down for sure I would feel dizzy from heights. I am not sport person of any kind, not expert in anything ,and I don't know I love watching or reading books about climbing everest or similar mountains. The first time I read book expedition story about climbing, I I liked so much. I don't know how a climbing story book ended on my hands.
High winds can cause chirping and whistling as it blows through cracks and holes in the ice. My helmet has vents and when wind hits it right it whistles
I just can’t imagine how difficult this is pushing your entire body to extreme limits and much respect to the sherpas also…all it takes is for some snow to break away hopefully the rope will not break free
Summiting Everest is more than reaching the highest peak on earth, it is conquering the hindering , the restraining fear monster that does plaque alot of us!
I wouldn't congratulate them. They selfish people that walk past the dying and take advantage of the poor sherpas and their families. And they leave all their garbage on that beautiful mountain. With those thousands they pay to go up there why not give Sherpas more and pay a fee to a garbage removal company. Or bring your own garbage down.

Too bad you didn't include all the footage of the cornice collapse. I saw it many times, but no one shows those two climbers getting back up to the ridge. It would have been super intense, but great to see them save themselves. It's tragic that two people were also lost during this collapse as they were not clicked into the rope.

It's still not EASY. It's still bloody tough and requires a lot of training. It's easier than it was though, especially with the improvements in weather tech, much more unlikely to get caught in something unexpected.
Well the earthquake in 2015 took the Hillary Step, arguably the hardest obstacle on the modern route, off the mtn, and the fix they route before climbing season to make it safer. Which makes it easier. Still hell though
