- A chase involving a possibly impaired driver in a silver sedan has ended in the parking lot of a U-Haul business off the Eastex Freeway.
A woman was pulled out of the vehicle just before 4 p.m., after she led authorities on a high-speed chase through Chambers County and into Harris County for more than 25 minutes.
The chase was brought to an end after deputies deployed spike strips on Highway 59, puncturing the driver's front passenger side tire.

The way the cop adjusted the lady's skirt was very polite.
Bill Stanley Gotta love Texas Game Wardens!!
Ya, but if it was a male driver then they would make him eat dirt, drag his @$$ on the concrete, possibly twist his hand and bust his balls🥵
The cops in Calif are some the most scared I have ever seen. If that was Arkansas they would have had them without being n scared to approach them.
*Dangerous move...* could've ended in a charge for attempted rape....
Marisela Cantu oh my...
So just spent 20 minutes basically just watching traffic. How exciting!
Lol right
It took me less than six minutes to realize this is not much more than a traffic update
Thanks for the heads up 😂
Watching you, we had the same (yawn) reaction).
😂😂
The police pulling down her skirt as he picking her up from the floor is such a gentleman!
You are looking at that impressive from the car chasing video? Lol

the woman did not "repeatedly" escape blockades...the cops did not close them in...DUH
Dennis - sounds like you're British (noticing BS)!
Dude they didnt close in the blockades right...Allowing the woman to do what?....Escape...
Police are so crazy
Title misleading
The block in was on the highway but she was in the last lane so wasn't no room to close it in at the speed n placement of her car...
It’s funny how the reporters changed their tune once they found out it was a woman after emphasizing (he) this entire chase
Men everywhere deserve an apology for the blatantly SEXIST reporting. The reporters and commentators basically had their heads handed to them.

My thoughts exactly here in this part of Texas they like there nice police cars super clean
I'd like to thank her for breaking gender stereotypes
You know Amy, anytime someone calls attention to the "breaking of gender roles", it ultimately undermines the concept of gender equality by implying this is an exception and not the status quo

I saw that
They aren’t even going that fast
Hell, they kept leaving holes for her to easily drive through, when they could have easily blocked her.
you can't do that she's a woman what if she was pregnant and also in labor you know a guy won't have theses obstacles so thats why they can't engage that way...
They don’t want to get in front of her cuz they might get rear ended
They are testing if she will voluntarily comply with their commamds, if she is ready to surrender without resistance.

No you dipshit. The cops got caught with their pants down.
@@acarriere30 if a dude's running he might be in a medical emergency, or he might have a wife that's in labor. You know, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure a lot of police are trained to deliver babies, so running makes no sense.
I love how the reporters kept emphasizing she was going the speed limit. really driving home how terrible this chase was.
AT 1.5 SPEED, I DISAGREE
One of the best, safest police chases I've seen. No police cars or private vehicles appear to be damaged. Should be a training film for police in a large metropolitan area. Kudos to the officers.
Lol are you joking? I hope your not that dumb.
No, they kept letting her pass through them, which time and time again allows them to enter situations of high traffic and much more dangerous situations. Had the white uhaul not been there, she would probably still be going. They allowed her to reverse direction and starlight back into civilian cars.
Texas has got bad drivers
Not really. It was a slow speed chase, easier to keep control. No need to use this as a training video. The best training videos are the high speed dangerous driving chases where the police do everything right, including terminating the pursuit until it becomes safe to continue, textbook spikes and PITs, and transfers of primaries and secondaries, etc. ending in an efficient takedown.
You paid for that enormous waste of resources. And you're okay with this, makes you part of an ever growing problem of overreach.Only my opinion.
She was just trying to get to the outlet mall for the one day sales.

@@lapdheadquarters3267 it's really ridiculous. There's no reason not to rear end him or cut in front of him wether or not it means damaging ur vehicle. @@yukothekid3423 how about you mind your business and go home to your family.. You worried about damages being taken care of.. Will they take care of your funeral?
Thing is you're kind of right. Most vehicles involved in high speed chases, dui's, drug offenses, etc are never pulled out of impound by their owners (a lot of times they're in jail) and are subsequently auctioned off by the police. This is where a very large part of police department's budget comes from.
Obviously they are trying to avoid lawsuits, not scratches on the paintjob.

What bothers me is the announcers always assume it’s a guy. Woman go on police chases too you know.
Why would you be bothered about that? Makes no sense what so ever.
Besides, there was more testosterone in that "woman" than in most young "men" today. Most young "men" today are manginas and soy boys running around in skinny women jeans getting offended requesting safe spaces for their hurt vaginal infantile feelings. They even sound like females, but then again most Yanks have those female nasal voices.
Yeah bothers me too. It goes right along with police and media assume the victim is always the woman in domestic situations.
I know they need to watch chases from Cali....lol
Lol
Jon micheal It was a black man in a white female costume what they got from party city.
They spent all that time wasting fuel when they could have done the pit maneuver to end it all!
Nah they was going too fast n that’s gonna take time n hold up the freeway.
That would cause a traffic nightmare. Unless she was in an area that doesn't get congested, then they should not do a pit maneuver
A few gallons of gas is cheaper that a couple of wrecked cars
One unit in front one behind one next and then slowly come to a stop. Why am i not a good cop?
White women don’t get the pit

I have NEVER seen a "car chase" like this in all my years in Houston, or anywhere else online that can recall. They must have been tipped off that she had some sort of mental issue, etc. Because they let her get away numerous times.. No PIT or real box-in at all.. Impressed with their patience.
That's just the way Ca. LEO always works. Suits have written stupid, woke policies. They're more afraid of law suits than citizens being put in jeopardy when this stupidity lasts this long. One girl in a car vs. 8 cop cars? SMH
Please be gentle on this lady. The fact that she never tried to use her car to hurt anyone speaks volumes of her personality. I read in a news article that she was screaming to the police officers “they’re trying to kill me”
She was in a full panic episode that she couldn’t help by herself.
Such a gentle police work, as if there was a child in a car.
God forbid these cops ever get in a real high speed chase.
Considering everything they ended it well. No damage to their cars, no damage to innocent bystanders. Knowing the driver was not a big threat and had mental issues they just played it out. 4 tyres got popped only.
Easy to judge from driving a sofa with a screen ;)
@@zakelwe I agree, they showed patience and caution, not risking damage to taxpayer vehicles or the car they are chasing (which could have been stolen anyway).

This is completly opposite. Great watch.
She was absolutely panicked, completely hysterical . Probably never been pulled over before. It looked like the cops knew that.
If she had a mental problem, she could’ve believed that everyone, even the good guys, were out to get her
There must have been some back story about the women. Those cops were extra nice to her during this entire episode. Either she was someone they knew or she was having emotional issues and they were being sympathetic. I have never seen police this cool during a chase.
Probably just because it's a woman
💯% agree!
Exactly,Jak.
They knew she had committed no crime before she was stopped.
It was a traffic stop so they had her record. They knew they weren't chasing an international criminal.
Macho cops feeling protective to young women. Oldest story in the world.
@@CaptJofaz Ummmm....even the reporters in the chopper thought it was a man and referred to the driver as a 'he'. Probably because it's usually men who do stupid things like this. 6:12 - I'm pretty sure the S40 didn't have a V6 engine option.
True
13:25 I mean really these cops couldn’t barricade the suspect in right there, amazing how she gets away
i believe because she wasnt actually causing being a major danger to public safety they legally have to leave a way for her to get out of the situation without smashing up police vehicles, and cant block her in completely, now had she kept going down that one way street the wrong way that may have changed
Amir Baki a few banged up police cars or take the risk of the driver possibly darting into a shopping center and hitting pedestrians? They had several opportunities to barricade her in, especially when one vehicle was a heavy duty pick up with a ram unit attached in front, they should’ve boxed her in plain and simple she was a threat to the community. They even could’ve lightly spun her on the freeway when she was going that slow. Poor job I don’t care what anyone says.
aaahhh... PIT them too soon, they're after blood. Follow them and attempt to prevent the driver from entering surface streets and attempt to let the driver stop responsibly... they're taking too long, gutless or something. Until you know the policies involved and sit in the seats and make the decisions... I can't see anyone really understanding WHY things play out they way they do sometimes. While the driver failed to yield and led the pursuit, it was far from reckless. Agency policies vary and are often progressive based on the actions of the driver. There are policies out there that limit types of roadblocks, rolling or stationary, on certain roads, visibility, avenues of escape for bystanders, types of vehicles that may be used, number of units to be used, authorization to do them.... Oh... and you have to communicate and coordinate with many others... some who may not be able to communicate IN A TIMELY MANNER with one another. Short version. She refused to stop. They took their time. Blocked off ramps. Kept her on the big road. Used tire deflation devices and ramped it up when she got onto a surface street. She didn't cause a major accident. She didn't die in a collision. She didn't run over or hit an officer. No one got seriously hurt. Forget the time. She was captured. Removed from the street... and somewhere she likely has a family member that appreciates that they showed that much control. I wish it hadn't taken that long. However, that said, I appreciate the fact that they DID stop her and get her off the road and in a way that did not cause undue harm to collateral damage.

It seems absurd that a first world police officer does not have a quicker tactic to block the road and subject a woman to driving...! Those cops showed a tremendous amount of restraint. Once she started moving when that cop was on foot at her car she put the chase into a different mode as it is considered assault on an officer. I often wonder if the news people are watching the same chase. She said they closed down the freeway and put spike strips across all the lanes. No they didn't. They funneled her to ONE lane and put the strip there, plain as day.
Laziest. pursuit. ever.
they were trying to get it over peacefully because they thought she was impaired

I like how, from the beginning, they automatically assume it's a man behind the wheel.
I've seen people shot for less, once a car moves towards a police officer they usually open fire, put 60 bullets in them shout at the dead body don't move while another one shouts put your hands behind your back while another holds a gun half an inch from their head.and then they all repeat the instructions over and over again.they then hand cuff the dead body and walk round in circles.

All these police for the sake of arresting a woman, what is this stupidity?
Excellent job they did with the spike strip - well done! The strip is still the smoothest way to end such chase!
Not only did they do a good job creating the choke point, I also noticed that particular stretch of pavement has black strips periodically, so unless the driver is focused on looking for spikes, they can easily mistake the spike strip for black marking on the pavement.
@@PeterLawton Interesting; I'm always interested in smart procedures. What's new is some grabbing device to stop fleeing cars with.

i’ve been binge watching these car and foot police chases and something i’ve noticed is how the police would aim their guns at the suspect and threaten them but never shoot unless the suspect may be a threat to the officers or some victim in a car.
So when the police aim their guns at a car slowing down the car will pretend to stop but drive off again and the cops would rather let the suspect go and not shoot.

Multiple possibilities for a PIT missed.
You're not really supposed to use PIT maneuvers in situations like this. She was going MAX 60 mph. Not really that dangerous. Thats like saying: "they should've shot her." In her defence, she didn't do anything that would have justified those protocols; similar to this situation. If she began hitting other cars and putting others in serious danger, then a PIT would have been appropriate. Until then, it's not really the best thing to do.

That made me laugh, 10 cars to chase a Volvo S40 which was barely speeding. That chase should have been over in 5 minutes. I’ve seen cops box people in by getting one cop car in front of the car been chased, one behind and one to each side and gradually slow them down.
