Interrupt him a few more times, Robin. That's not really annoying or anything.
I was thinking the exact same thing before I read your comment.
OH NOOOOOO!!! Most people agree that my vids are the worst on RUclips. I agree to disagree. Please agree to disagree with the haters, dear cel
Good Lord, you brought the man on the show. You're not funny minus the steel business quip, let him talk.
it's been 19 years let it go XD
It'a moments like these that make me go "People really call this one of the best radio shows of all time?"
Poor Vince can’t even finish a sentence
The so interrupt a lot with another question. Howard never lets them finish talking
Just thinking the same!
I am the ALPHA MALE of this comment section and I command RESPECT. Right now I am ordering you to NOT view any of my videos. Instead just look at my thumbnails and be JEALOUS. Bye bye guine
limited time
Cackling witch wont shut the hell up
How many times could they interrupt the guy? Jeez... 🙄
Yeah, Stern's show was insufferable. It was long form interview but it still had the constant input of traditional radio. Hence why Rogan's podcast eventually grew to the biggest on the planet. Let the guests talk
limited time with vince. a good journalist will do that - wake up garret
@@besteverepicmillennial5927 lol what is the point of no full awnsers
Vince bought WCW the day after this interview. Interesting.
Makes you think if He knew he Had it yet. Plus, him talking about the Territories in this!!! lol
Really?
no wonder he kept smiling
And he kill profesional wrestling without wcw
@@MrZombiejoe I was surprised by that, I thought he would of pretended they didn't exist. But he laughed about putting them out of business and attempting a monopoly.
"Are you a billionaire?"
Vince: I dont know, it sounds good" loooool Vince is hilarious
Boy Robin just refused to let Howard conduct the interview. I get that she's the co-host but throttle off little bit.
if howard didnt think the world of her, she wouldnt be in that position, he would have X'ed er ass quick
Howard talks like he isn't rich. He's only worth 650 million.
Hulk Hogan made him a millionaire
@Bryan Mack Vince has a lot of experience in struggling tho.
@@Sttephy30 stone cold made him more money than hogan
That's what I was thinking
@@Sttephy30 How did Hogan make Howard a millionaire ??????????????????
Legend. Wish he did more interviews
A shoot interview by him would be 1000 hours long. So much history, knowledge, and input.
Robin is a bird that never stops chirping
LOL, very nice way to put it 😆
He is a down to earth genuine dude. Worked at his house and he was super cool and answered my questions about all the wrestlers I grew up watching. His wife Linda was really sweet to us too.
4:00 "You're getting older now..." 20 years later Vince is still going ham.
I bet Vince has an infinite amount of stories in him...
You wouldn't know it by the storylines he recycles on TV.
Vince is actually one of those guys I would love to sit and have a beer with, just to hear his own stories or his version of some of the more well known stories out there.
@@rickylyon3846 Don't talk about beer by him. There's somebody else that gave him bad experiences with that brewing and it's a certain rattlesnake..
He became a millionaire because of his dad.
He became a billionaire because of Stone Cold Steve Austin.
He became a billionaire because of Hulk Hogan.
I think you skipped Hulk Hogan, but all of the above
And that’s the bottom line 🖕🏼 💀
@Bryan Mack But without Hulk Hogan, WWF would've never taken off to begin with.
Stone cold, hulk hogan, the rock, cena, undertaker, Brock and Roman it’s a combination really on why he’s so rich
I forgot how annoying Robin was.
McMahon should definitely write a book.
Was vince doing two interviews at once??what a beast
Lmao Robin is so annoying in this interview...toss her in the ring with the Big Show
I swear all Howard talks about is money.
Cuz money talks
He seems like a pretty humble guy. He never says if his brother is wealthy he just says "he does all right" he has the respect not to involve personal issues in public
aight but his walk is cool af
The Ol’ corncob up the ass!
McGregor stole his walk
The billy strut now conor McGregors lol 😂
Connor agrees
It’s called the “power strut”
Vince was 55 in 2001, here we are in 2020 and he's still going, pretty awesome..
I love Robin, but she’s on something in this one. It’s unwatchable, how many times she interrupts. My god
Who’s gonna take over the business? My son Shane and daughter Stephanie.
Triple h has entered the chat
Time to play the succession game...
Steel cage ladder match to decide
Booya 😂
W
Steve hahahahaha. In his dreams.
Interviews like this wouldn't happen today
Yeah even Howard might not do this kind of interview these days lol
Howard stern is really pushy though always has been
@JHOT 247 waaahhhhh
If only they knew the goldmine they had their hands with him sitting in that room. So much knowledge and history. He would be like Bruce Prichard, Jim Cornette, and every other wrestler COMBINED
55 year old Vince. Now he's 75. DAMN!
Gotta admit I always thought Vince was a bit of a douche but he comes across really good here.. he handles some hot, personal questions with humour and grace and seems like a pretty legit guy 👏👍
They're called personas. Robin always comes off as a snob. That's not
Yea man; he played a character!
HereIsWisdom 1318 It’s not ALL character
He was the same age here that undertaker is now
I hate when they interrupt the guest from speaking. Always!
This is Vince McMahon out of his WWE character
His actual personality is so different than in the WWE.Real down to earth seems like.
I never realized robin cuts off howard mid question. Just as vince is about to speak, robin is already spitting out another question. She doesnt even let vince answer. 😂😂
This wouldn't have happened in the JRE, seek for a video where Jamie cuts Joe once and then he gives him "the stare" 😂
I don’t think robin likes wrestling. She usually has more respect. She kinda clowned Vince
That's what women do, they talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk..
but nothing important comes out of they're mouths
sakaralakabar Well, in reality that stare was because Jamie was saying something negative about one of their sponsors. Regardless, I think it’s known that Jamie always has the freedom to chime in.
This was recorded back when the WWF/WWE was totally badass... Now, meh... Not so much.
For sure. '97-'02 was the highwater mark of that era (Attitude into Ruthless Aggression)...I gradually stopped watching in 2003 and then only watched sporadically. There was still some good stuff in the '00s, but the last 10 years have largely been a disaster. It's a shame.
It’s a soap opera now with some light wrestling entertainment
Still makes hella money. There’s a lot of things they can’t do (show excess blood, head shots, sexualizing women, rampant steroids, excessive cursing) so they try to do what they can, the best they can. If you don’t like the product, oh well. There are more kids that watch more than ever and every wrestle mania sells out. But let me end with, I agree with you. The attitude era was amazing. Ruthless aggression era was pretty cool, the product nowadays isn’t as good.
I had a friend who still watched in the 2000s, there was a whole miscarriage storyline going on Like oh great I just witnessed a woman lose her baby.
Times change, the world got sensitive and plus Benoit the dude who murdered his family kinda killed the business. There was already people who already look at wrestlers like circus animals.
You can tell he doesn’t wanna sit there and talk money
The rapidfire questioning makes it difficult for any guest to truly open up… They’re talking a mile a minute especially Robin… It’s borderline ruining the interview
"Are you a billionaire?"
"I don't know"
Then he bought WCW days later
You can tell Vince hates talking about money.
This was when "back in the day" was back in the day......oh wait, I'm old.
Vince seems quite humble and personable here.
Robin ruined and Howard who can be the best interviewer didn’t have his fastball here. It’s a shame because Vince seems very open here, which is very rare.
I need this whole interview. It used to be on RUclips years back but can not find it anywhere!
He aged so quickly after this.
He aged super fast. The second he got his head shaved.
At 75 he still isn't bored of it lol... Good for him
Vince: My brother's in the steel business.
Robin: What's he stealing?
Robin has some zingers every once in a while.
That’s the best line I’ve ever heard from her even if she was interrupting
Red Kinsley LMFAOOOOOO that shit was hilarious
Howard questioning Vince about money, something he would hate to talk about now that himself is that rich. Oh how things change.
Sounds like he's a worker...hard work pays off.....he kinda sounds a bit humble too😂
Vince gets a lot of shit these days for "killing" the wrestling business. However, if his father wasn't even a millionaire back then and he owned one of the largest territories, then Vince did the right thing. He did open it up for much bigger paydays for everyone. As long as you worked under their brand.
Legend has it that he has never taken a vacation. He doesn't watch movies. He didn't even miss any work after tearing both quads.
Ever have a 12 hour a day assembly line job? Pays shit and it's hard boring ass work. Smart work pays off more than hard work.
@Power Forth you was worked for wwe?
Shane wanted to buy UFC but Vince wouldn’t let him so the Zuphers nd Dana White came in and bought it instead. Shane defo was the smartest lol
Can they let him answer a question without interrupting.
When vince looked like Vince Mcmahon
It would be great if Howard would bring Vince in again. There is so much interesting stuff behind the scenes in the wrestling business over the years. The whole "territory" conversation got hijacked by Robin, but there's a TON of good stuff in there.
Enter Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Wow, Howard made some really good points that really apply today. From his question of whether Vince would ever get tired of the business, to his questioning of would Vince REALLY trust his children to continue the WWE at the level that it was at the time of this interview? Because at this point, in 2020, Vince's stubborn desire to still run things at 70 years old only proves his point right. Beside's Robin's annoying interruptions, this was a great interview.
Let him talk!... first time its annoyed me on Howard Stern Show lol
This was such a great interview. I remember watching the entire thing when it aired years ago. Can't believe this was 20 years ago, Vince is in his mid 70s now & still going!
they barely let him speak
Vince looks old as hell now
Vince put WCW out of business 4 days after this interview.
That short clip of HHH after Vince didn’t say his name on who would get his money is priceless
He sued Owen harts wife, before she could. makes him a certified devil.
Can the man speak for the love of god one question at a time clowns
A day will come, when we ALL shall miss & deeply respect & admire Vince in his passing. Will definitely be a sad & memorable day🙏 with tributes from around the world & WWE UNIVERSE. You will be missed & remembered Forever💯
I wish he makes it to 100
Eh, the dudes gonna live to be at least age 120, so we still got awhile
The succession conversation has been going on for over 20 years and Vince IS STILL THERE! Still running the business
Didn't know Vince did a Howard interview. I need to see the whole thing.
Funny watching this in 2024 knowing exactly how it worked out with Stephanie & Triple H.
Vince so damn humble lol
I like how Howard is infatuated with how wealthy Vince is when in fact Howard is a very wealthy man himself.
Biggest ego in the room - the woman!!
Hate how they keep cutting Vince off and don’t let him speak!
The Attitude era golden era
How he became a billionaire: 1: don’t pay for your talents travel or hotel 2 : pay your developmental talent a pittance 3: gouge you fan base with over priced merchandise and ticket prices 4: make a huge amount money of the talent but don’t fairly share the money between yourself and said talent
Man if I could hear that Vince laugh again in 2020 that would be amazing. You don’t see much Vince interviews anymore. And the XFL in 2020 was doing great but COVID took it out.
AUSTIN AND TAKER is why he became a billionaire
Vince seems very relaxed and comfortable in this interview. Would like to see the full interview. He doesn’t open up to many so Howard stern good stuff
This is probably the best day of his life as he knows he's about to buy WCW
20 Years Later I wonder if Triple H would be in the Will??? Good To See Vince McMahon is still around, HOPE N WISHING ANOTHER 20 plus years
damn leave the questioning to Howard.... omfg
When wrestling was IN
You know damn well Vince hated being talked over by Robin
The answer to the headline is simple, Hogan made Vince millions while Austin made him billions.
20 years later, he still hasn't taken a day off LMAO !
And it's aged him tremendously.
Funny how Howard, who was already a hundred fold millionaire, still wanted a piece of that inheritance, guess that's why he has that much money. :)
Hah, it was a joke. I don't think Howard had that crazy money until after Sirius, I could be wrong tho.
A mark in history of memes
How
Only the Audio of this has existed
online for the past 10 years... Finally we
get to see Vince actually in the studio..
If only we could get the entire interview😭🤣
My man Vinny Mac is AND will always will be a total alpha . . . if you try and push at dude he will step on your neck
Easy, by not paying the wrestlers.
I hope Vince writes a proper autobiography before he passes.
Off the backs of crippled wrestlers, that's how.
I dont like the guy but thats the nature. Wresters do their craft. Promoters invest to put on the show and pays the wresflers based on their agreements. But at the end of the day, the wrestlers are breaking their backs one way or another. The point is who's going to give them more money for that.
Just like actors or other sports athletes
He come across quite humble and shy, love this man
Vince is sooooo careful with his words
Robin let him talk ffs
Damn they don’t even let him finish answering 😂
Interview from 2001
Inserts a shot of Shane & Steph from 2008
Uploaded in 2020
what you smokin howard?
hes a legend
vince and triple H them 2 cant stand each other lol they hate each other vince and triple H.
you can tell robin heavily dislikes him
Smoky mountain wrestling was my joint back in the early to mid 90s. We only had regular t.v because we lived in the hills of Ohio & it was before the small satellite dishes became available. Use to get home from school and watch it. That was one of the Appalachian territory's Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky etc. Good ole days.
5:28 everywhere Vince goes triple H goes
I like Robin but she was annoying in this one... kept cutting him off during serious answers.. like she was over caffeinated.
Holy crap Vince is 75 now?
Man it’s crazy
@@leverholme9894 he's still the 58 year old chairman from 2003 who got twatted week in week out to me
Stern: Are you a billionaire?
VKM: I don't know. It sounds good...
😂😂😂 Very Vince answer
"id like to own a team in the XFL" bet howard is happy that wish didn't come true lmao
I haven't seen a Howard Stern interview yet where it isn't 85% questions firing across each other where the guest just sits there trying to get a sentence out.
Full interview please.
Miss old vince
little did they know at the time that HHH would be taking over hahaha he really "played the game"
