I ran this module and the stealth numbers are gonna be kind of crazy. Goblins have a racial +4 and +4 for being small, plus they have +4 to dex so that's +10 without even taking stealth as a skill. Its possible to start with about +23.
Now I need to see Ashly Burch/Piglet in the main crit role series just to see what would happen if she teamed up with Grog. I'm imagining "We would like to rage" as Grog throws her at an enemy.
Having run 4 groups through Rise of the Runelords, the Thistletop goblins have almost killed them all. *Chuckles* good times. Everyone underestimates goblins
Matt is so good at keeping it together. He easily plays off what the others suggest. If they're hungry he creates a food scene. Its amazing how he's able to formulate any event.
Sometimes when the players are all interacting and Matt is just watching, he slightly mimics the movements they make or the expressions they make and I love that😂

@@saysay8920 In a game sponsored by Pathfinder I think it's reasonable to expect that the will follow the Pathfinder rules, unless they come out and explicitly say otherwise. Which they didn't. Any group and always choose to use or not as much as the rules as they want. All I did was note that they weren't using the rules.
@@saysay8920 Paizo is paying them to play Pathfinder. In such a circumstance, the default would be following the rules, not completely ignoring them. If it's a completely homebrewed game that doesn't use the rules, they should state that.
As awesome as that would be, I think that this one shot takes place in Paizos official campaign setting, not in Exandria, as the rest of Matts campaign does. But I agree that it would be pretty amazing
So she had a vision of a crack rock. She really seems to want it. She'll do anything to get it. Viewed objectively, this makes alot more sense than most quests.
This reminds me of some goblin characters a buddy of mine and me played. They were twin goblin alchemists named Bada and Boom. They were found, along with their siblings, by a kindly old wizard. However, 5 goblin youngsters is a lot to keep up with and he did what he could but of the 5 only Bada and Boom survived their childhood and alchemical training before heading out in search of adventure and trade.
It was cool that this was from the alternative viewpoint of the goblins. I'm starting a goblin pirate campaign this week and I'll be drawing lots of inspiration from this livestream. Thanks Geek & Sundry!

The only other critical role video ive watched that made me laugh this much was scanlans triceratops attack in whitestone, this whole thing was hilarious.
I've spent the last year watching Critical Role. All of both campaigns. Many of the side shows. Pretty much all of the one-shots. But... this... this is a gem. I thought I had seen all of them, and this popped up on my feed. And, damn, this is the most entertaining one-shot I think I've ever watched. The whole group here was epic. Ivan's voice and comedic wit. Marisha's embrace of blowing shit up and... Nott? Taliesin being a straight up serial killer. Phil being the... voice of reason? And, Ashly, you're just the damn best.
Ok as a DM who is currently running the Rise of the Runelords campaign, this is really fucking cool. Also, Matt continues to the best inspiration and most incredible DM ever.

Goblins could very well be the funnest class to play in all of Fantasy RPG. I was watching Marisha's portrayal of Snizzler and thought, "Wait, where have I seen that recently?" Then I realized that the mannerisms were almost exactly the same as Elisabeth Wheatley's Book Goblin. I am not sure who influenced who, or if it was just serendipity, but they are both amazing.
I accidentally rushed forward through the Chroma Conclave arc and by episode 86 I remembered the one-shots and went back. And now I realised what I missed. It reminded of the time my group ran a goblin campaign and goblin campaigns are awesome!
+Erin R. Same here! She was incredibly cute... for a homicidal ball of rage. lol To be fair, they all showed their top game. Take Marisha for example. I like Marisha a lot, but she is usually inconsistent with her voices and seems hesitant. Not so in this. She went all in and rocked. They all did.
I really wish G&S would start posting Ivan's Monday night show to the website and RUclips. The few I've been able to find (paranoia and this) have been freaking phenomenal and I'd love to be able to more easily find them as I can with crit role and this and paranoia.
There's something depressingly funny about the show dedicated to spotlighting lesser-known RPG systems that don't get enough attention being the one that failed to get recorded and preserved for the future.
I like how Phil Lamarr got so tired of playing orcs getting stabbed in one ear and out the other that he chose to play a goblin and stab a human in through one ear and out the other.

Finished this episode on January 18th 2022. This reminded me of so much about the early games. The breaks are nostalgic, the fact they all snack. Talisan still being the MVP. I'm glad I decided to go back to the one shots.

Goblins could very well be the funnest class to play in all of Fantasy RPG.
I was watching Marisha's portrayal of Snizzler and thought, "Wait, where have I seen that recently?" Then I realized that the mannerisms were almost exactly the same as Elisabeth Wheatley's Book Goblin. I am not sure who influenced who, or if it was just serendipity, but they are both amazing.

I am about a year behind you binge watching C1. I almost skipped this episode to keep up with the story. SO glad I watched it.
I accidentally rushed forward through the Chroma Conclave arc and by episode 86 I remembered the one-shots and went back. And now I realised what I missed. It reminded of the time my group ran a goblin campaign and goblin campaigns are awesome!

To be fair, they all showed their top game. Take Marisha for example. I like Marisha a lot, but she is usually inconsistent with her voices and seems hesitant. Not so in this. She went all in and rocked. They all did.

I really wish G&S would start posting Ivan's Monday night show to the website and RUclips. The few I've been able to find (paranoia and this) have been freaking phenomenal and I'd love to be able to more easily find them as I can with crit role and this and paranoia.

That's really what made me love him so much. Hearing Green Lantern and Static interacting with each other and realizing it's the same freaking voice actor... Glad they got him on Critical Role.
