I haven't had fast food in like 15 years, but I feel so vindicated that Wendy's fries are their most popular item lol. I used to go to Wendy's all the time, and would always get the same thing: Large fries and a small frostie. Was my favorite "I'm so high I can't figure out what I want to munch on" indulgence snack.
That's ironic about the french fry change at McDonald's because vegetable oil is not better for you than beef tallow, and they tasted better when cooked in beef tallow. It will take another 100 years before everyone knows that. also, the blizzard was not invented in 1985. In the late 60's, Dairy Queen had a blizzard. It was made of seltzer water, pineapple, and orange sherbet. (I don't think it had vanilla ice cream in it too, but it may have.) The ice cream flavored ones came later on, but that item was first labeled the blizzard. It was good.
I mean if they were just upfront about it being beef tallow all along, and if they didn’t lie and false advertise to a million vegetarians and hindus and whoever else, then they would’ve avoided the entire controversy altogether. their own fault for being dishonest. And if you really want good taste and good health, you’re not going to McDonalds in the first place let’s be real
I’d like to see the old recipe for original fried chicken from KFC. Loved the breading and flavor. I would also like to see long John silvers return to Hawaii
In retrospect it’s not surprising that a popular side dish like fries but not always fries, is often the most popular one. If almost every customer gets the side dish but usually gets one of several very popular main-dish sandwiches or whatever, the side dish’s bound to win.
Now imagine there was an all-in-one restaurant that offered all of these items. What would you order? I would get the Panda Express orange chicken with a side of McDonald's fries and then a DQ Blizzard for dessert.
I only go to Mcdouchebags for breakfast for the steak bagel, 2 packets of picante sauce, and a large Hi-C. I stopped going for lunch when they discontinued the grilled chicken wraps
As a whataburger employee, I've seen some snippets of my store's data and yes the whataburger sells the most but it gets really really close with some other ones. High school kids devour sweet and spicy bacon burgers and honey barbecue chicken strip sandwiches like crazy because vegetables are a no no i guess lmao
I used to order Firehouse Hook & Ladder sub at least once a week 😅. Notice they closed many stores in recent years, the now closest location is about 7 miles from my residence.
When I was an Operations Manager for Wendy's in Colorado about 16 years ago, baked potatoes and chili were the 2 most ordered items. People often requested them instead of fries with their sandwich.

my wife and kids are Filipino, If you asked my kids, Jollibee's best item is spaghetti. If you ask my wife, it's the peach mango pies. The chicken might sell more, but it's nowhere near the favorite among Filipinos
At Chipotle, the bowls are popular because people are trying to get unnecessary carbs out of their diet. Also, you can mix up your bowl so you get some of everything in each bite, which you can't do with a burrito.
I live in So Cal, and there's a Jollibee in Van Nuys, by Kaiser hospital. Their fried chicken is THE BOMB!!! The wife and I try to stop there for it whenever we end up at Kaiser for lab work.

The most popular in our town is Wendy's and arbys. Only 1 BK left. Mcdonalds is only busy for breakfast and after 9PM. Taco bell and Popeye both closed down. We still have a LJS and a KFC (but not for much longer). We have 2 DQs and 3 subways. What predominantly is in our town is non-franchise taquerias and pizzerias with some of the best food around. We also have bars with gourmet food and decent prices. And an independent grocery store with the best fried chicken voted 21 years in a row
Bk is a joke. I go to my favorite bar down the street and get a bigger totally customized burger for the same price. Their burger is fresh and grilled with a list a full page long of toppings. I get mine dressed up with hot and spicy ingredients with a side of Carolina reaper cauliflower and a red cream soda float. They even named the combo after me... The hellhounds dog bowl
I would have hoped the whooper would be its most popular item, lol...if not then BK doing something wrong. Surprised to hear the Crunchwrap supreme was the most popular...would've figured it was the Mexican pizza.
Subway is in the city where I live so when I do have the money I actually visit it quite often. Even in those times it didn't go so well for them. Though I never order anything from the actual meny, but always make the bread custom made. Which can sometimes be annoying as prices can vary EXTREMELY. Like once I paid 5 euro and once I paid 15 euro, for the exact same order. It makes no sence at all. But oh well. My favorites are the white bread with ham and chicken teriyaki and/or ham with egg. And I always have some lettuce, cucumber and honing-mosterd sauce added to it. Damn actually wanna eat it again now xD
I lived in Texas for 12 years in the 70's and 80's. One thing I miss is Church's Chicken. It's not as greasy as KFC and the mashed potatoes don't taste like artifically processed . The gravy really sets it off as well and the rolls are soft and tasty. not hard and bricklike as KFCs. But the real treat is the japalenos that came with. A bite of chciken , roll, and japaleno was Heaven.
I swear I prefer chick fil la over raising canes they just seem to taste better especially how chick fil a is the only place I would get chicken nuggies from
I myself loved the Mc Chicken Wrap and when it first was possible to order it in my country, I ordered it each time I got to the McDonalds. Sadly they fucked it up by changing a few items in it and now I do not order it anymore. Though, the new burgers, actual burgers, not that one from a euro, do taste great and are a staple of when I go out to eat there. But the thing I do order the most is the simple ice cream. I love the fact that here in the Netherlands, when you have black people making the ice cream, you get way more, then if white people do it. Really makes me appreciate them more, as I do really love those ice creams.
In the fast food world industry you have to look at the market and the prices and the bestseller, and look to improve on what you have by asking the customer what can I do better for the product.
cherry-limeade - sure. But being away from, pretty much all of these, for a while, the one thing that came to mind (well, two) when I read the title of this clip are; Sonic BLT (on Texas Toast) and their tater tots with cheese and jalepenos. Good burgers too. Oh; and highly functional chilidogs!! But for burgers, the one I would probably grab first, if I went back, most likely - a whopper.
I haven’t seen a Checkers here in the South so don’t know if they are around here, but I do like Captain D’s and Cookout! We had a Rally’s/Checkers in Phoenix when we lived there years ago - just different names depending on location/part of the country.

If you live in the Mid Atlantic region, Royal Farms Fried Chicken is the bomb, you will pay for it, but it's that good that the price is justified, Maybe not on a daily basis though.
McDonald's Fries, when they are super-hot and fresh, are the quintessential Platonic Ideal of what a French Fry should be. No simple French Fry will ever surpass it. And Yes, I am 65, old enough to have had their Fries fried in tallow. I even made them that way. Those were perfect, and will never be equaled, but the current iteration is 99.8% of the way there and will never be bettered.

No offence. Absolutely love the BK hopper. Only had it flame grilled the first week the openend in RSA. Since then it may be seared and then kept in a steamer that robs it of that flavour. BK are welcome to come with me and test any of their stores...average tasteless meat.. even worst than McD...which is very low
Interesting video though I would have to say picking Fries or Mashed Potatoes as most-ordered item is a bit of a cop-out. Considering how many menu items are sold as meals including those items as sides, how could they not be most ordered (except for Burger King whose fries are awful).
Very good video! As far as Sonic? We haven't been to a Sonic since they stopped serving the Chicago Dog. Shame on them!!! I am quite surprised that Jack-In-The-Box's most ordered item is the tacos. They SUCK. But I guess if you've smoked a lot of grass during the day, you have the munchies, and you want something really cheap - they WILL fill the bill.
what? churchs mashed potatoes? where did you get this answer from? their popular item is their honey butter buscuits....those things are off the chain and their pickled jalapenoes are amazing. drizzle that juice on the chicken and go to town
For me it's 1)McDs Fish Filet. 2) BK Original Chicken Sandwich. 3) Subways BMT. Ever since the 90s when Mcdonald's switched from beef tallow to veg oil, their fries have never been as good. Theyre still good, but not as good as they were before.
The Whopper is my least favorite "signature" burger. It's sloppily made whenever I order one and the flame broil lacks the caramelization of a griddle-cooked patty.
I actually rarely go to Burgerking, Because we don't have one close bye. To get to Burger King I have to drive like more then an hour. So it's not worth my time/energy/effort to get one. Sad, because they do have some nice items on the menu. Like the McFlurry M&M copy does taste a lot better. And those burgers are good. And KFC really has to struggle with there chicken.
The only thing really worth having at sonic is their many milkshake flavors and large drink menu. All their fried food tastes like it's fried in oil that was changed in 2011. Their burgers are meh. Hot dog tastes like gas station quality. Most of the quality of their food is actually about what I would expect at a gas station.
We had 2 BKs but down to 1 and they were voted worst burger in town. Mcdonald's is barely staying afloat because the owner refuses to cooperate with national promotions and it's expensive, it's only busy when there's no other options. Both Popeye and taco bell are closed. However Wendy's and arbys are popular. In our town we prefer the local restaurants over the big guys but there's still a few holding their own
Wow, I look at these pictures of these sandwiches and they don't look ANYTHING like what you end up getting from the restaurant. They all look at least twice as tall as they are. Arby's, for example, never has a pile of beef. Sometimes, you can barely find any. I really don't know why it's okay to lie just because it's advertising. Oh, yeh, I forgot - companies make the laws.
Bring back the old school McDonald's hot apple pie full of face melting molten goodness. The pies they have today are just full of sadness.

As someone that works at Jack in on the box the price of the tacos is not 99 cents they are a 1.84
I wish the KFC's in my town weren't run so poorly. I really love their food but I won't go there anymore because every time I go they forget to put at least one item in my bag and the drive thru people they get act like you're bothering them lol.
Same here. The slowest and worst service, but the best fried chicken.
Subway sandwiches are smaller compared to a month and a half ago . Even the bread was smaller 😢
Let me correct that opening of the video for you.
"Do you find fast food menus intimidating? Try out our sponsor, better help and get therapy"
The McDonalds near me has horrible fries, way too many BURNT ENDS!😝
CHURCH SPICY FRIED CHICKEN AND POPEYES SPICY CHICKEN AND BURGER KING BBQ BACON CHICKEN AND WHOPPERS
I'm not a fast food junkie but Popeyes Chicken Sandwich is my weakness. (Classic, not spicy)
No offence. Absolutely love the BK hopper. Only had it flame grilled the first week the openend in RSA. Since then it may be seared and then kept in a steamer that robs it of that flavour. BK are welcome to come with me and test any of their stores...average tasteless meat.. even worst than McD...which is very low
Church's biscuits are pretty prime
a nice list i see, so any Carl's JR or Mooyah's lovers here? ^^
Subway has different subs in it's Canadian Subway Series. At least the names are different.
what? churchs mashed potatoes? where did you get this answer from? their popular item is their honey butter buscuits....those things are off the chain and their pickled jalapenoes are amazing. drizzle that juice on the chicken and go to town
For me it's 1)McDs Fish Filet. 2) BK Original Chicken Sandwich. 3) Subways BMT. But I stopped eating at Subways over a decade ago. 4) Arby's crinkle cut ff and any of their fish items when offered. 5) Chick-fil-A - Nothing. I don't like them period. Everything is over salty. 6) Chipotle veg bowl or veg burrito. 7) Taco Bell pinto bean/rice burrito and nachos. 8) Wendy's varies. I rarely ever go. 9) Whataburger - Never lived near one. 10) Panda Express. Chow mien and super greens always. 11) Smash Burger - Never lived near one. 12) Little Caesars. Never ate there even tho I have one down the road. 13) Jack In The Box. Egg rolls, jumbo jack. 14) Churches Chicken - Never lived near one. 14) Jollibee - Never lived near one. 15) KFC. Original only, prefer the breasts and mash. 16) Long John Silvers - Never tried them even tho I do have on near me. 17) Raising Canes - Never lived near one. 18) Firehouse Subs - Never tried them. 19) Boston Market - Never lived near one. 20) DQ the chicken basket and the buster bar or dilly bar. 21) In-N- Out - Never lived near one. 22) Shake Shack - Never lived near one. 23) White Castle - Never lived near one. 24) Wing Stop. Never been to one but I do have one near me. 25) Sonic. Nothing.
So many in this list we don't have in the Netherlands :O
Cool 😎 !
Ever since the 90s when Mcdonald's switched from beef tallow to veg oil, their fries have never been as good. Theyre still good, but not as good as they were before.
Madison Square Park?
The Whopper is my least favorite "signature" burger. It's sloppily made whenever I order one and the flame broil lacks the caramelization of a griddle-cooked patty.
i avoid bk because of their service. you could be the only one in there and it will still take 10 mins to get your order and most likey get it wrong.
For McDonald's, I ALWAYS buy the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Burger ya! The Rest are already ShrinkFlation.
Arbys "roast beef" taste like cardboard to me. All I can taste is the strong sauce 😢
#1 menu item at Jack-in-the-Box used to be salmonella 😆
Chipotle in my area is famous for that too.
Jack in the box tacos are now 1.99 !!, so they're a dollar each !!!
Damn you inflation!!
I wish Arby's would bring back their potato cakes.
What about Five Guys. Why didn’t they make this list.😧
Wendy's fries > McDonald's fries 😅 🍟
I concur.
Mcdonalds fries when they were cooked in Beef fat were unbeatable
@@UncleEbenezer77🤔
Wendy’s anything is trash. Period.
Oeh I wanna have that firehouse shop here :P
9:00 American cheese on tacos?? Hell naw!!
melts better than any other cheese, so hell yeah!!
McDonald's is not as good as it use to be . Burger King is terrible now. None the fast foods are good anymore
In our town we prefer the local restaurants over the big guys but there's still a few holding their own
Arby’s is nastay!
Hello #ShakeShack I hope you come to Canada soon!
Wendys got the best poutine imo
