A draining and disappointing story and end to the jedi who turned into a sith to reform and ultimately save the republic from the coming purebloods. Of all the sith who believed they bent the force to their will, Revan was the only one who walked the dark side for its power and resolve and never lost sight of his objectives. As Darth Revan he mostly attacked military targets! Unlike Malak's total war approach. How does this character end up insane in a tank.
@@schnaiderwissen8915 I disagree. Kotor 2 really fleshed out an amazing enigma as a character arc for Revan. It portrayed Revan as not "falling" to the dark side, nor mind controlled. Before TOR, KOTOR 2 established that Revan deliberately chose to turn to the dark side as a necessary evil in order to prepare the Galaxy for the Sith Empire. It showed his tactical ingenuity as referenced by GO-TO, striking specific worlds and leaving their infrastructures intact to subdue them, but allowing them to convert. He was so much more fascinating, akin to Jacen Solo. TOR ruined his arc

The problem with this fight is that Revan only needs to not lose, while Yoda NEEDS to win. Because in the late fight he automatically wins. I think Revan is a little underestimated for this reason. I do agree that Yoda would win. The fight would either be over in a flash, or take a very long time. It really depends on Revan's ability to predict Yoda's attack patterns, which I think he is "capable" of doing.
I think Yodas speed is simply to much for Reven to adapt too in time. I’d say that he’d be on the defensive and could not hold off Yoda before he found a opening against Revens good but not great defense

In terms of raw power no, Revan did not have more than Yoda. Revan could not match the likes of Vitiate, a Sith Lord factually less powerful than Vitiate.
Actually Revan reflected force lightning capable of turning people to ash with ease, something like that it's extremely uncommon display of power, Yoda isn't capable of resisting Sidious' force lightning that can turn people to ash, he barely escaped alive. Also knowing that Revan possess the knownledge of lost Sith powers that are unknown to the Republic times. He was also displayed as "the heart of the force" , Kreia isn't someone Yoda is more overrated due of larger fanbase of the movies.

yes he got pulled away, even Revan was alive after that encounter but he did beat his opponent with ease in the end who lost in the duel between Yoda and Palpatine? Palpatine continued his plan while Yoda went into hiding.
Palpatine won the fight yes, but you need to look at the cirumstances. Yoda had to rush to get a victory, while Sidious had reinforcements on the way and could survive by stalling. Even so Sidious>valkorion>vitiate>>>Revan Raw power Yoda got him beat just like he has to everyone that's not Sidious or a Skywalker

PresidentWordSalad What? In KOTOR 1 Vitiate used both Revan and Malak to wage wars so he could grow stronger, are you actually surprised that SW:TOR Revan ended up captured by Vitiate? To me it makes the most sense, he ended up dead because he wasn't strong enough to defeat the emperor. Even in KOTOR 2 Revan is presumably in the far regions of dark space, Carth Onasi even says that he never returned, Revan went to confront Vitiate all by himself, never suspecting that the emperor grew more powerful through warmongering. So he ends up being captured for 300 years until the events of The Old Republic.
He also had vitiate in his head for 300 years, that's liable to do serious damage to anyone, and madness as we all know is like gravity, all it takes is a little push
In all honesty I appreciate and regard this comparison very highly as a very unbiased and well-shaped one at that, however I just cannot come to see Revan not being able to employ his tactical brilliance against Yoda in the fight all around. I understand why you would try to break the fight into sequences amongst how each would THEN employ their cards to the field on how it would then transpire, but Revan and Yoda as themselves do not break their fights in sequences. They blend their abilities and techniques together to grant them the edge they need to fight in whatever scenario they are in. Yoda and Revan both are deadly against one opponent as they are against multiple. Revan is not to be handled as a "Good against multiple" type of combatant, and neither is Yoda to be, "Good against single" type of combatant. Sure in their preference they may choose the multi or single scenario, this does not mean they are without the skills or knowledge to handle themselves in the other just as easily. Revan is a near master of all forms of lightsaber dueling just would prefer the sixth if the need is not required of him to change that. Yoda knows of each form as well, but solely relies upon the fourth that of which he added some great modifications to that form to suite his size and stature. I honestly can see this being a more even fight with it coming down to a stand still 5-5 or even a slight advantage to Revan simply due to his remarkable stamina and vigor allowing him to remain in shape throughout the battle. So with that, a 6-4 against Yoda. However these are all of our opinions and respecting that would greatly encouraging to allow free thought of what would happen and what would not. @@QueenRaven516 From what I've understood the strike team that went after Revan was made of 4 people, this guy could hold his own against 4 people at the same time, all striking from all over the place, I think he could hold his own against Yoda. And I do agree with your view, a bit more than I agree with the video. The only problem for me is, I don't have the required information to make a proper guess. I only "Heard about" both of them, I don't have a good enough understanding of their skills to just randomly throw in my own opinion without adding this.
@The Archangel Yoda is more than capable of making the killing blow. The Jedi only hold an aversion to senseless death. Paraphrasing Windu he says that Yoda's ability as a warrior is unmatched. Also, in the 900 years that he was alive, I'm sure that the clone wars wasn't the only war that Yoda fought in.
@@mairo4057 Yoda, during a demonstration for younglings, was able to avoid Saesee Tin, Plo Koon, & Depa Billaba attacking him at full speed with their lightsabers with ease. Yoda is definitely also able to take on multiple jedi without issue.
I don't know how you played the game but my guy was Unstoppable he had almost all the force powers and maxed out level for Speed Force lightning force push force crush and use all stances force scream Master dual wield force fear everything I went to koraban and got all the artifacts and holocrons and my lightsabers were the strongest ever at all the upgrades
I think Yoda would usually win. I think Sidious would also win. But now that we got that out of the way, I think that Revan had more potential than Yoda, Sidious, or Vitiate. And I feel like it is his potential which is chronically underestimated. Yoda and Vitiate had the opportunity to hone their force abilities for a THOUSAND YEARS. Of course they are going to be impressive. If we compared 40 year old Vitiate to Revan, or Yoda at that maturity (whatever that is for his species) to Revan, I think Revan would hand them their asses. His power was such that even the most powerful Sith of his time were "nothing" compared to Revan reborn, and he was the strongest Jedi of the Order even before becoming Darth Revan (and both groups included beings that were centuries old). He had learned everything that the Jedi had to teach at that point (which is another advantage Yoda has over him, seeing as the Jedi had another 3000 years to develop by the time Yoda was born). While Palpatine's age isn't so much greater than Revan's, only about double, he had the opportunity to learn directly under Plagueis. Vs Darth Revan, who reached such an extreme level in the darkside that he was essentially inventing techniques like the Thought Bomb. This was Revan figuring it out primarily by himself over only a 4 year period. Sidious had decades of learning under one of the greatest Sith to ever live, a sith that partially was just repeating techniques Bane learned from Revan (who figured them out on his own in, again, merely 4 years). Imagine if Revan had had the resource of time that Yoda had, or the resource of being the last in a line of Sith lords that Palpatine had with a thousand years of other Sith to build off of right off the bat. He was like the heart of the force and that is before even taking into account his insatiable hunger for knowledge. He learned faster than he could be taught. Revan was the epitome of hard work meets talent. He was able to figure out a light/dark attack that even he had never performed before, mid combat with Vitiate. An attack that launched Vitiate back, the man with a million life forms and thousands of sith worth of force energy. He was able to survive Vitiate's lightning, which was a thousand times stronger than Nyriss' (which itself could turn a body to ash), with mere second degree burns. All by using a light side defensive move, on a dark side nexus planet. Revan has more potential than basically any other character we see, except Luke and Anakin. And then only because Lucas placed their potential (not power) as being twice Sidious'. Let me just reiterate again that potential is not the same as actual power. Much like we see with Anakin, who by Lucas' own estimates only reached 40% of his potential (Vader was 80% of Palpatine, but had double the potential as Palpatine). For better or worse Revan did not have the time that Yoda did, or the access to knowledge resources Palpatine had (or if Revan had had Palpatine's time to able to learn the darkside, instead of 4 years vs Palpatine's decades), or the ruthlessness Vitiate had to drain a planet. He was not as powerful as they. But give him their external advantages and he would beat them all.
@CVK It is stated he was the most powerful. NOT that he had the highest midichlorian count. Power vs potential. Which I indirectly acknowledged in my answer by saying "Revan is not as powerful as they". Yoda was the combination of prodigy levels of power and 900+ years of experience, while Sidious was the product of 1000+ years of Banite knowledge plus power plus several decades of personal experience (many of which were under Plagueis). That is why they are actually both stated to be more powerful at the time of their battle than Anakin even, despite Anakin having the higher midichlorian count.

Rob George I doubt Vader is optimized to hold off Vapaad, Or Yoda's Masterful Ataru sequences for any stretch of time other than initial engagement. I chose these 4 because they Represent the "Master/Master" of their respective Orders. Yoda and Windu being the Epitome of the Light while Sidious and Vader are the Avatars of Darkness.

Anakin skywalker had to completely retool his fighting style when he got the armor/cybernetics not to mention his strength and durability got a massive boost therefore pre suit Vader/anakin is a totally different combatant than post suit Vader/Anakin. It would be really cool to see a fight between Darth Sidious and Revan, they're both unbelievably great sword fighters and force users, and Sidious somewhat parallels Yoda (In term of light and dark). Great video as always, we know you work hard on them!
I feel like we're forgetting a couple things. Revan's ability to drain the force from people and creatures around him, Force breach which would hinder if not halt Yoda's force enhancements, and if breach doesn't work then Revan can also use the same enhancements.
That only works on individuals who have weaker force shields. Yoda's mastery of the force is just far too great for Revan to just drain him. The amount of effort revan would need to actually drain Yoda would only become a detriment and drain himself (in the exhaustion way) instead
He’s also an ancient Sith and even Darth Traya said the Jedi of today are but children playing with toys in comparison to the old masters. There is absolutely zero chance Yoda defeats Revan one on one, this video made no sense to me.

If you're going to use KotOR as a source for Revan's abilities, don't forget his final Dark Side power: "Force Crush: Force Crush was possibly the darkest Force ability known to both the Sith and the Jedi. It was a more advanced form of the Force Grip ability. This ability lifted the opponent into the air, and as they were floating, their body literally imploded as their bones were crushed from within by the Force."

According to Vader in A New Hope. the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant to the power of the force. But have we really seen this in the movies, or in anything that isn't legends canon? Honestly we need to see a display of power like Darth Nihilus in the next movie or something that shows how strong the force really is.
You might be able to destroy a planet with the Death Star but it is force users that control the fate of the galaxy. Luke destroys the death star by using the force. That is what Vader means.
Well, the power of the force isn't the power force users have. If you look at Yoda explaining at Dagobah, it's basically similar to Gravity or Electromagnetism

26:40 - What blade (or crystal) is the main character wielding to give it that unique color? I've seen purple and blue blades in that game and none of them have such a rich, vibrant hue as that one does.
Comparing feats in the world: Yoda lived for 900 years(species based), and sat for a long time as head of the Jedi Council. These are basically the peaks of his achievements to echo across the Galaxy. Revan turned the tide of wars with his favor, conquering/"rescueing" and reconquering/re-rescueing the galaxy 3 times over. He managed to unite the dark and light side of the force to create devastating force abilities, and his actions directly interfered with the shaping of the galaxy up until the very rise of Darth Vader(his teachings as Darth Revan was the basis for Bane's rule of two. And Bane considered him the true philosophical master mind of the Sith). On average, as indirectly(and perhaps directly at some point) stated by plagueis: A force users potential(innate strength in the force), is more or less directly linked to have strongly their actions echo across the stars. And by such measures Yoda would not be weak, but nowhere near Revan. In physical conflict, you greatly underestimate the value of force foresight. It's not mainly about physical ability, force based or otherwise. It's mainly about their ability to predict/change the predictions of their opponents, "Always in motion is the future/The future is always in motion" - Qoutes by Yoda and Revan respectively. Their ability to control such speed, is not based in their physical sight, but in their ability to predict the future. And the ability to see the future/cloud someone else's ability to percieve it is main point ot decide the outcome of a physical fight between force users. In the end, I suspect Revan's strategic mind coupled with his great talent for force sight(both the kind that allows you to see through things, and the kind that allows you to glimpse the future), is what truly made him so fierce on the battlefield(feats in both are demonstrated with him endlessly throughout his life). Another baseline issue is you hinting at Vitiate being weaker than Sidious. An absolute joke.

Well I disagree with you. I am a fanboy of Revan I guess but at the same time you make way too many assumptions in favor of yoda. For example, "Revan was not a master of anything". I suppose after living for so long and after fighting in so many wars he had to have been a master of several if not all of the forms. On top of that you compare them with Revan wielding only one saber. He was also known to fight with two and a master of it as well. He was a scholar of war so all his time was devoted to learning and perfecting techniques. Where did Yoda got to master his techniques to such an extent? On top of that ... it was not just versatility in the way he used the force. The output was immense as well. On top of that he could use force AND saber at the same time which would make it a lot harder for yoda to deal with him. Also keep in mind that Mace Windu beat the emperor but Yoda did not. Some attribute it to Windu having dabbled with the dark side of the force before where Revan was a master of as well.

This guy took the idea that generalists are never masters of anything too far, you can be a generalist and a master of some things, not like there's 100 lightsaber forms of combat only 7. Imo Revan did master them over so much experience in war which Yoda did not have. How is Yoda supposed to match that
Revan did master all 7 combat forms, Kreia herself explains it to you in KotOR 2, she says Revan had nothing more to learn (referring to lightsaber dueling)
Wouldn't SoR revan be more fair since he was at his most powerful and completely unrestrained there. It would probably be much closer in revan's favor (if not victory) in that case.
@Emperor Vowrawn GM Luke, Sidious, Yoda, Mace Windu, and Darth Vader rank pretty highly against Old Republic characters. With the first 3 especially outright outclassing all but Vitiate. Everyone else get fodderized by the the likes of GM Luke, Sidious, and Yoda.
@Emperor Vowrawn Your comment made no sense. Force spirits have loose rules, and can be anywhere they want to be often. That doesn't equal to power or strength at all. That's just a feature of Force spirits. So acting like Kun being unable to leave his temple somehow makes him weaker to one of Nox's Force Ghost is plain weird. ESPECIALLY when he can't leave because the ENTIRE JEDI ORDER locked him in there in the first place. By every metric, Exar Kun is pretty much beyond Darth Revan, and only Revan Reborn actually arguably is better. And Post Dark Empire Luke was only defeated by Exar Kun when he had the additional power of Kyp Durron, an exceptionally powerful Force Sensitive. So Exar Kun *2 beat DE Luke, and DE Luke only beat Palpatine in lightsaber combat, but never defeated him by himself with the Force; he simply used the same Wall of Light ability that the Jedi Order used on Exar Kun to cut off Palpatine's connection with his own Force Storm and let him destroy himself. Revan is stomped by the likes of Sidious and GM Luke, whose feats far eclipse his own. And Yoda is stronger than him.

People keep saying revan would win but they are mainly biased. Sure you can say revan is a better character which I dont agree with but yoda lifted mountains and matched sidious. Sidious's power level is equated to 30 generations of sith knowledge and techniques, with each generation being stronger than the last and the first one in the lineage being darth bane, somebody who could most definitely beat darth revan. Revan gets his ass kicked and theres no question about it.
@@lordraiden7397 think of it this way. Each sith learns everything that they’re master before them knew. Every ability, every saber form, every art. Once they master that, they kill the master because they are now on the same e level. The now master sith also likely learned more abilities that the previous master did not know. Sure the raw power level may vary but raw power doesn’t matter if you’ve mastered these abilities. Every single ability of every single sith before palpatine was passed onto him as well as the essence of every sith before him. That makes Sidious the most skilled sith ever to live, and Sidious also happened to be insanely strong in the force. Revan can’t match Sidious and it’s as simple as that

I know that, but remember, different styles of combat can counter another, like how Djem So is strong against Makashi and Juyo/Vaapad but weak against Ataru would two lightsabers be weak against one while also taking in the consideration of Revan & Yoda's physical abilities, skill and timing?
True.. the use of dual blades would make Yoda double his efforts in outmatching Revan's speed and tempo now that he is wielding two weapons and must therefore counter both, making the fight a bit faster, and would therefore tire Yoda down faster. However, this would also mean that since he's expelling all his efforts, it would make Revan even more susceptible to losing in the Early and Mid fight, but this would therefore give him an even larger edge in the Late fight. The question would be if he manages to survive the early onslaught and prosper at the end
This video has made me realize one thing... Revan is Batman. With prep time and recon, Revan doesn't have to spend as much time sussing out his opponent.

Revan wins hands down due to this fact alone 👇🏾; Yoda Punking out & hiding from the sith in Exile instead of taking Them on head to head when it really counted the most 😆👏🏾. No Jedi grandmaster should be ducking no enemy long term like Yoda did , that was extremely weak AF.
If I had to guess how this fight would go, considering Revan is considered the greatest tactical mind of his time, he'd probably very quickly pick up what Yoda has over him and...retreat. "Okay okay I can't win like this his Soken and Ataru is TOO GOOD need to get to an open and flat space!" Revan, unlike many in Star Wars, isn't too proud to run to get into a better position, and call it a hunch, but Yoda's Force Valor along with his body might not be enough to catch up to an opponent that is using the Force to just straight up run in a single direction. I feel like that might tip things to a 5-5. If he won, Revan would probably think to himself; "That was...frighteningly close. Too close."
I enjoy video about my two favourite Force users. I'm little sad my absolute favourite lost but I agree with your assesment of specialized mastery winning over adaptability. Despite that, I believe Revans understanding of the balanced Force is more valuable then Yoda's one sided perspective no matter how deep is his understanding.
First off i get revan is overrated at points but you are underestimating him here First off revan is top tier by the implications of his potential being potentially equal with darth vistate who by extension is equal to dark empire sidious Revan only lost to darth visiate when he was neft or not at his most powerful One where before revan even mastered the darkside The other he was drugged tortured and imprisoned for years on end haven’t even fully recovered even when he got his memories back Against vitiate who was being amped by the darkseid nexus In which even scourge admited revan could have beaten the emperor had he not betrayed him but it wasn’t for certain due to revan’s condition and the circumstances at the time Even saying if revan were given a fair chance on even ground he would beat vitiate And FYI the sith emperor keep him prisoner for centuries not decades after scourge betrayal And was both using revan as a source of information and as a force battery Something vitate wouldn’t even bother with if revan wasn’t close to rivailing him As even the outlander admited he can’t beat the darkside half of revan even with both the Jedi and sith working together And this is half revan’s full potential Not the whole potential Basically revan by all accounts is actually top tier but was nerft and put in unfair situations where he wasn’t at his best or fighting an opponent on even ground In which if he was he could have won But that doesn’t mean would but he had more than just chance to win

Revan was the master of light and dark. A balance scale basically. It's hard to see Revan winning anything when he has not been in any movies but honestly if you just know his story you would know he could easily defeat some of the greatest names in the franchise. He is what everyone in the franchise has been wanting to see from light to dark to light again but eventually dark again lol

Yoda was so powerful that both Dooku and Windu, some of the most powerful force users of all time, were considered second to Yoda in both force abilities and lightsaber skills, and one of them had become THE master of Makashi, the lightsaber form literally created for lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat, and the other had created and mastered Vaapad, the most dangerous lightsaber form. Not only this, but Sidious, the most powerful Sith Lord of all time, tried to run away because he was legitimately afraid of Yoda. Honestly Revan would put up a good fight, but the odds are stacked in Yoda's favor. Even if Revan managed to win, it wouldn't be a stomp.
But he wouldnt lmao. Sure you can say hes a better character which I dont agree with but yoda lifted mountains and matched sidious. Sidious's power level is equated to 30 generations of sith knowledge and techniques, with each generation being stronger than the last and the first one in the lineage being darth bane, somebody who could most definitely beat darth revan. Revan gets his ass kicked and theres no question about it.
I dont understand why people keep saying Yoda lost to Palpatine in their fight when all Palpatine succeeded at doing was delay Yoda while he wait for his troops to reinforce him. Fact is, Palpatine could not dominate him in the force and was disarmed in their lightsaber battle. He was constantly on the defense against Yoda, not because he didnt want to go on offense but because he couldnt. Yoda was an unstoppable freak of the force even against Palpatine. Clearly, Yoda won that fight. True, Yoda failed in his mission to kill Palpatine, not because Palpatine was stronger in the force or a better duelist, the scene clearly shows Yoda was better in both fronts. Unfortunate for Yoda, Palpatine had the advantage in time and place. The Jedi had already lost by the time Yoda came into the play. The Jedi Council and Academy was no more and Palpatine already has a firm foothold of the Republic at the time Yoda arrived in Coruscant. In short, even before Yoda arrived, Palpatine had already won. To use your basketball analogy in context, its like Yoda came to the game in the last 2 minutes when they are down by 50 points. He scores 49 and almost wins the game but looses for lack of time. Palpatine could not beat Yoda. All he did was survive Yoda for 2 minutes.
Yoda would have a 8/10 advantage at least, he was on par with Sidious who is confirmed to be the most powerful sith even over Vitiate (who beat-up Revan). Revan has zero chance without help from someone like Malek.
Actually no it’s confirmed vitiate and sidious were equals in force strength and according to the lore vitiate is no longer considered a sith he started out that way he be is described as a darkside force entity, so in context with the lore sidous and vitiate are more or less the same just in different time periods which sounds lame but that’s is the reality Also your forgetting the only revan lost the fight was because last vitiate was being amped by the darkside planet so he had a boost in power from what he would normally have at the time and raven was stabbed in the back during the right So in actually revan had all the odds staked against him and based on how he did if the conditions were equal then revan might have actually won Plus your forget the the jejd out case form the mmo is not as powerful or skilled as revan yet beat vitiate because he wasn’t stabbed in the back So have that make sense saying revan lost when the opponent essentially needed help
@@ATalesTruth- George considers Sidious the best ever and that answer makes more sense because movies generally show the most evil and powerful villain of all time in they're world. Anything Revan could do in those other situations only were capable of being done because he wasn't being shown in a live action movie which are limited. Sidious and Vitiate are not equal and their accomplishments kind of represent this.
In 1500 years Valkorian was incapable of controlling the entire known galaxy while Sidious accomplished this around the age of 60 or 70. Sidious already went head to head with the two most powerful Jedi ever. Oh, and what George said then was not irrelevant and won't be until he says it no longer is relevant. George is the ultimate voice on SW matters and he has constantly pointed out that he has vision of what he has said and won't make exceptions to his unchanging ideas. When he said Sidious was greatest Sith of all time he meant it. There's very few times where he makes exceptions like in this case of Mace Windu's lightsaber color.
@Lytral Which is even harder, it would be far easier to take over a weak struggling government. Sidious took over one of the longest established governments to ever exist. He did this under the nose of the two most powerful Jedi to ever live. He killed Darth Plaguesis. He personally was involved with taking out half of the Jedi during Order 66; killing four Jedi Council Members, and causing Yoda to run into exile, and turned Anakin into his apprentice. Three of those masters died in possibly the most impressive example of a force scream. That is brutal force. He mocked both Maul and Savage in a dual with ease. As for Bane; well, he just made the Jedi think the Sith were gone and he barely accomplished that. Lord Farfalla nearly exposed Banes secret, not to impressive. Sidious and Plaguesis came up with the plan to take over the senate, the clones, to use Dooku to set up a war, and ultimately to watch Anakin very closely. Sidious definently had the ability to use full force to take over. That was made clear by the fact the Seperatist could literally overrun the Republic at any time because they built droids faster then clones grew. Sidious realized the mistake of the other Sith prior to him such as Vitiate / Valkorian. He took over the galaxy faster, fought toe to toe with the greatest Jedi to live, and figured force essence transformed extremely fast. Also George didn't ever really support any SW content that he wasn't directly involved in so Valkorian wouldn't exist probably if George had anything directly with that video game project.

Rob George I think it depends on the time period from which we take Revan. The novel version for instance was able to turn Darth Nyriss, a member of Viciate's Sith council, into ashes with one single strike of force lightning. Exar Kun has displayed impressive use of the force as well, but Sith sorcery/alchemy are hard to imply in combat and Revan has proven to be capable of defending against extremely powerful force attacks.
NerdWana In combat, Kun has his gauntlets allowing him to use force blasts. That is a power I don't think Revan has defended himself against. As for illusions, Revan could easily pull it off. Its more of the lightsaber combat that Revan will have issues with.
Revan has this. Revan is more knowledgeable and can use both sides of the Force. Revan comes from periods of time where combat was much more frequent. He's power is considerable for his time.
Nikola Vitanov Darth Vader is simply a more experienced version of Anakin Skywalker and Anakin beat Darth Tyranus through superior skill and power. It would seem that Vader has the edge.
My bet is that Sidious would go down first. His one ace is his Force Lightning - particularly the potential for Force Storms. That said, if he is sneaky and isn't noticed by either Revan or Yoda, which would take a lot of skill and luck, he might be able to get them. Yoda beat Sidious back in Revenge of the Sith. It might look otherwise, but Sidious stalled and escaped first, not Yoda. Revan would butcher Sidious in a 1v1. He fought Sith Lords who were considerably more powerful. Plus, Revan knows things that Sidious wouldn't be able to do much. But if we wanna put Palps in a fight just for giggles, I think it'd be hilarious to have him try to fight Darth Nihilus, only to gape like a fish when said sith literally eats the Force Lightning. I mean, Vitiate I suppose would be a more realistic example of a sith who could do that, but Nihilus is more commonly memed for eating a planet. Force Drain is OP, pls nerf

Phew... Sorry this took so long: I was in South Africa for ages! Okay. Let me start by commending you on this: I can't even begin to imagine the effort that one has to put in to a video, especially one this controversial, and have it come out so spectacularly. Now the video itself, the voice-acting at the beginning was spot on and I feel that it summed up the eternal conflict of the Jedi and Sith very well. The analysis' were superb and gave us plenty of information of the characters (one minor complaint being that you underplayed Revan's speed quite a bit in the first round, he would not be a sitting duck when Yoda attacks, especially since Dooku seemed to keep up just fine). I felt this match was a "duel of the fates". A spectacle and a masterpiece. Yoda obviously took the match and while I did see this coming, I did hope that you would give Revan a bit more credit in the mid round as I don't see Yoda countering Revan's force attacks without stopping his lightsaber sequence, therefore giving Revan a reprieve (although you technically couldn't do this because then there would be a tie, leaving us all confused). I feel this match could've gone either way and I truly love how you interpreted this glorious battle. Well done Antoine :)
I think the one clencher for this fight is Yoda and Revans' ability to sense each other in the force, Yoda can sense anyone from far away, while Revan could only sense those he was close to at any distance, but in the end Revan could pulse a simple force stun through the connection, which would destroy Yodas' early advantage, and was his greatest vulnerability
Dario Duran I seriously doubt that Rey is a MaREY Sue -got captured by Kylo Ren in their first encounter (before she knew that she’s truly Force Sensitive) -defeated a conflicted, wounded, and non lethal intent Kylo Ren (who was ordered to bring Rey to Snoke ALIVE) -didn’t get Luke to join the Resistance -got (wo)manhandled like Snoke as if she was literally NOTHING and would’ve killed her on the spot were TLJ Kylo Ren was more like his TFA (prior to meeting Rey and killing Han) and just killed her as the “son of darkness, heir apparent to Lord Vader”. -barely bested 2-3 Praetorian Guards while Kylo fought the rest -didn’t redeem Kylo (TLJ) and tied with breaking Skywalker Saber -accidentally damaged BB-8 due to lack of focus during a training session with a droid -thought she killed Chewbacca through the power of the dark side -loses every mental fight with TROS Kylo Ren -lost to Kylo Ren (uninjured, no conflict, no holding back) and would’ve either been killed (Palpatine warned him that betrayal will result in the Final Order will be turned against him), though Leia’s death distracted him before he could deliver the finishing blow resulting in Rey defeating him -almost went TLJ Luke route before being encouraged by him (who realized that he was wrong) to face her fears -almost gave in to the Sith Ritual weren’t it for Ben Solo -was immobilized by Sidious’ clone and was drained through the dyad that she shared with Ben -pretty much DIED after giving herself over to the Jedi spirits guiding her against Sidious -could restore Ben back to life. TLDR: Rey’s showings in the Sequel Trilogy gave us this undeniable fact: she is completely screwed regardless of who she’s facing. Yoda would blitz her. Revan would outmaneuver her through tactics and experience.

This is a tough one for me. I feel Yoda would win begrudgingly at a 51-49. I wouldn't undermine Revan for losing to Vitiate. Vitiate was literally fucking immortal and was the Dark Side incarnate even beyond Darth Sidious. Vitiate even trasncended to become a pure consciousness. I love Revan but I gotta admit Yoda was a fucking Jedi Grandmaster for centuries unlike Revan who was a Jedi Knight when he fought in the war with Malak. Yoda has way too much experience over Revan even though Revan is a seasoned war veteran. In lightsaber dueling Revan could keep up due to his ability to wield 4 lightsabers being able to have 2 of them in the air with the force. The numbers could help him keep up with a master duelist like Yoda and get to the mid and late fight. I don't think Yoda would be used to having to fight 2 lightsabers flying around in the air while Revan kept him preoccupied. Revan could also teleport so he could easily teleport if the going got tough and force the fight to draw out. Revan can beat Yoda but Yoda would just have a better chance of winning because to me Revan was more of a great war leader than a one man army like Yoda.
i doubt revan could teleport, if you can provide a link to evidence to prove me wrong that would much appreciated. the 2 lightsabers in the air I can believe especially as he did train under kreia at one point (who is known to weild 3 lightsabers in the air).
I agree that in the case of a no-context fight, Revan will lose to Yoda. But he's a far better strategist and leader than Yoda. Give them both half of a galaxy and I'm pretty sure Yoda will be hiding somewhere again after one decade at most... Not to forget the fact that in reality, Revan will never take the risk meet someone as strong as Yoda alone. He'll probably lurk him in a trap and kill him together with some other Sith.
Outstanding work, I really love how you highlight the actual text where you are getting your facts from, and then show it to us to pause and read. I really think this would go as a tie, I agree with everything you said, but I feel you left out something important, Reven in his book damn near vaperized a counsel level Darth with his force lightning, that shows the raw power he held, true we don't know much about her, maybe that's why you deemed not to mention it. In the mid fight when he opened himself up to the light and dark to push Yoda back, this is something Yoda has never even believed was possible, it would catch him 100% off guard, I think Yoda would be stunned and injured far too much to begin attacking right away again, giving Revan a 3/0 in that round. Very enjoyable vid as always. Where is that Windu vs Maul vid :)
Revan vaporized Nyriss with tutaminus, not his own Force lightning. He turned her power against her. It was her lightning that was going to turn him to ash. Also, if he tried to get into a tug-of-war lightning battle with Yoda, Yoda would win (based on his contention with Sidious and Revan's contention with Vitiate). Again, as described in the book, the combo of light and dark did nothing more than what a Force repulse would do.

Revan lived 4000 years before Anakin so that could never happen.

Not really. They just gave him a more established character arc and personality. The Revan you saw in KOTOR wasn't really Revan, but the player.
A draining and disappointing story and end to the jedi who turned into a sith to reform and ultimately save the republic from the coming purebloods.
Of all the sith who believed they bent the force to their will, Revan was the only one who walked the dark side for its power and resolve and never lost sight of his objectives.
As Darth Revan he mostly attacked military targets! Unlike Malak's total war approach.

@@schnaiderwissen8915 I disagree. Kotor 2 really fleshed out an amazing enigma as a character arc for Revan. It portrayed Revan as not "falling" to the dark side, nor mind controlled. Before TOR, KOTOR 2 established that Revan deliberately chose to turn to the dark side as a necessary evil in order to prepare the Galaxy for the Sith Empire. It showed his tactical ingenuity as referenced by GO-TO, striking specific worlds and leaving their infrastructures intact to subdue them, but allowing them to convert. He was so much more fascinating, akin to Jacen Solo. TOR ruined his arc

The problem with this fight is that Revan only needs to not lose, while Yoda NEEDS to win. Because in the late fight he automatically wins. I think Revan is a little underestimated for this reason.
I do agree that Yoda would win. The fight would either be over in a flash, or take a very long time. It really depends on Revan's ability to predict Yoda's attack patterns, which I think he is "capable" of doing.

I actually think on closer examination it's consistent with what we've heard from Revan and his past, in terms of going a bit to far to meet his ends.

PresidentWordSalad What? In KOTOR 1 Vitiate used both Revan and Malak to wage wars so he could grow stronger, are you actually surprised that SW:TOR Revan ended up captured by Vitiate? To me it makes the most sense, he ended up dead because he wasn't strong enough to defeat the emperor. Even in KOTOR 2 Revan is presumably in the far regions of dark space, Carth Onasi even says that he never returned, Revan went to confront Vitiate all by himself, never suspecting that the emperor grew more powerful through warmongering. So he ends up being captured for 300 years until the events of The Old Republic.
He also had vitiate in his head for 300 years, that's liable to do serious damage to anyone, and madness as we all know is like gravity, all it takes is a little push

In all honesty I appreciate and regard this comparison very highly as a very unbiased and well-shaped one at that, however I just cannot come to see Revan not being able to employ his tactical brilliance against Yoda in the fight all around. I understand why you would try to break the fight into sequences amongst how each would THEN employ their cards to the field on how it would then transpire, but Revan and Yoda as themselves do not break their fights in sequences. They blend their abilities and techniques together to grant them the edge they need to fight in whatever scenario they are in. Yoda and Revan both are deadly against one opponent as they are against multiple. Revan is not to be handled as a "Good against multiple" type of combatant, and neither is Yoda to be, "Good against single" type of combatant. Sure in their preference they may choose the multi or single scenario, this does not mean they are without the skills or knowledge to handle themselves in the other just as easily. Revan is a near master of all forms of lightsaber dueling just would prefer the sixth if the need is not required of him to change that. Yoda knows of each form as well, but solely relies upon the fourth that of which he added some great modifications to that form to suite his size and stature. I honestly can see this being a more even fight with it coming down to a stand still 5-5 or even a slight advantage to Revan simply due to his remarkable stamina and vigor allowing him to remain in shape throughout the battle. So with that, a 6-4 against Yoda. However these are all of our opinions and respecting that would greatly encouraging to allow free thought of what would happen and what would not. Keep up the great work!

And I do agree with your view, a bit more than I agree with the video.
The only problem for me is, I don't have the required information to make a proper guess. I only "Heard about" both of them, I don't have a good enough understanding of their skills to just randomly throw in my own opinion without adding this.
@The Archangel Yoda is more than capable of making the killing blow. The Jedi only hold an aversion to senseless death. Paraphrasing Windu he says that Yoda's ability as a warrior is unmatched. Also, in the 900 years that he was alive, I'm sure that the clone wars wasn't the only war that Yoda fought in.
@@mairo4057 Yoda, during a demonstration for younglings, was able to avoid Saesee Tin, Plo Koon, & Depa Billaba attacking him at full speed with their lightsabers with ease. Yoda is definitely also able to take on multiple jedi without issue.

I think Yoda would usually win. I think Sidious would also win.
But now that we got that out of the way, I think that Revan had more potential than Yoda, Sidious, or Vitiate. And I feel like it is his potential which is chronically underestimated.
Yoda and Vitiate had the opportunity to hone their force abilities for a THOUSAND YEARS. Of course they are going to be impressive. If we compared 40 year old Vitiate to Revan, or Yoda at that maturity (whatever that is for his species) to Revan, I think Revan would hand them their asses.
His power was such that even the most powerful Sith of his time were "nothing" compared to Revan reborn, and he was the strongest Jedi of the Order even before becoming Darth Revan (and both groups included beings that were centuries old). He had learned everything that the Jedi had to teach at that point (which is another advantage Yoda has over him, seeing as the Jedi had another 3000 years to develop by the time Yoda was born).
While Palpatine's age isn't so much greater than Revan's, only about double, he had the opportunity to learn directly under Plagueis. Vs Darth Revan, who reached such an extreme level in the darkside that he was essentially inventing techniques like the Thought Bomb.
This was Revan figuring it out primarily by himself over only a 4 year period. Sidious had decades of learning under one of the greatest Sith to ever live, a sith that partially was just repeating techniques Bane learned from Revan (who figured them out on his own in, again, merely 4 years).
Imagine if Revan had had the resource of time that Yoda had, or the resource of being the last in a line of Sith lords that Palpatine had with a thousand years of other Sith to build off of right off the bat.
He was like the heart of the force and that is before even taking into account his insatiable hunger for knowledge. He learned faster than he could be taught. Revan was the epitome of hard work meets talent.
He was able to figure out a light/dark attack that even he had never performed before, mid combat with Vitiate. An attack that launched Vitiate back, the man with a million life forms and thousands of sith worth of force energy. He was able to survive Vitiate's lightning, which was a thousand times stronger than Nyriss' (which itself could turn a body to ash), with mere second degree burns. All by using a light side defensive move, on a dark side nexus planet.
Revan has more potential than basically any other character we see, except Luke and Anakin. And then only because Lucas placed their potential (not power) as being twice Sidious'.
Let me just reiterate again that potential is not the same as actual power. Much like we see with Anakin, who by Lucas' own estimates only reached 40% of his potential (Vader was 80% of Palpatine, but had double the potential as Palpatine).
For better or worse Revan did not have the time that Yoda did, or the access to knowledge resources Palpatine had (or if Revan had had Palpatine's time to able to learn the darkside, instead of 4 years vs Palpatine's decades), or the ruthlessness Vitiate had to drain a planet.
He was not as powerful as they.
But give him their external advantages and he would beat them all.

Which I indirectly acknowledged in my answer by saying "Revan is not as powerful as they". Yoda was the combination of prodigy levels of power and 900+ years of experience, while Sidious was the product of 1000+ years of Banite knowledge plus power plus several decades of personal experience (many of which were under Plagueis). That is why they are actually both stated to be more powerful at the time of their battle than Anakin even, despite Anakin having the higher midichlorian count.
But Luke would just kick his ass.

Rob George I doubt Vader is optimized to hold off Vapaad, Or Yoda's Masterful Ataru sequences for any stretch of time other than initial engagement.
I chose these 4 because they Represent the "Master/Master" of their respective Orders. Yoda and Windu being the Epitome of the Light while Sidious and Vader are the Avatars of Darkness.

I think if we're using Canon as of ROTS Sidious wins around 6-7/10 and if it's legends version, revan's chance to secure victory is very very low
I feel like we're forgetting a couple things. Revan's ability to drain the force from people and creatures around him, Force breach which would hinder if not halt Yoda's force enhancements, and if breach doesn't work then Revan can also use the same enhancements.

That only works on individuals who have weaker force shields. Yoda's mastery of the force is just far too great for Revan to just drain him. The amount of effort revan would need to actually drain Yoda would only become a detriment and drain himself (in the exhaustion way) instead
He’s also an ancient Sith and even Darth Traya said the Jedi of today are but children playing with toys in comparison to the old masters. There is absolutely zero chance Yoda defeats Revan one on one, this video made no sense to me.

According to Vader in A New Hope. the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant to the power of the force. But have we really seen this in the movies, or in anything that isn't legends canon? Honestly we need to see a display of power like Darth Nihilus in the next movie or something that shows how strong the force really is.

26:40 - What blade (or crystal) is the main character wielding to give it that unique color? I've seen purple and blue blades in that game and none of them have such a rich, vibrant hue as that one does.

Comparing feats in the world:
Yoda lived for 900 years(species based), and sat for a long time as head of the Jedi Council. These are basically the peaks of his achievements to echo across the Galaxy.
Revan turned the tide of wars with his favor, conquering/"rescueing" and reconquering/re-rescueing the galaxy 3 times over. He managed to unite the dark and light side of the force to create devastating force abilities, and his actions directly interfered with the shaping of the galaxy up until the very rise of Darth Vader(his teachings as Darth Revan was the basis for Bane's rule of two. And Bane considered him the true philosophical master mind of the Sith).
On average, as indirectly(and perhaps directly at some point) stated by plagueis: A force users potential(innate strength in the force), is more or less directly linked to have strongly their actions echo across the stars. And by such measures Yoda would not be weak, but nowhere near Revan.
In physical conflict, you greatly underestimate the value of force foresight. It's not mainly about physical ability, force based or otherwise. It's mainly about their ability to predict/change the predictions of their opponents, "Always in motion is the future/The future is always in motion" - Qoutes by Yoda and Revan respectively. Their ability to control such speed, is not based in their physical sight, but in their ability to predict the future. And the ability to see the future/cloud someone else's ability to percieve it is main point ot decide the outcome of a physical fight between force users.
In the end, I suspect Revan's strategic mind coupled with his great talent for force sight(both the kind that allows you to see through things, and the kind that allows you to glimpse the future), is what truly made him so fierce on the battlefield(feats in both are demonstrated with him endlessly throughout his life).

Well I disagree with you. I am a fanboy of Revan I guess but at the same time you make way too many assumptions in favor of yoda.
For example, "Revan was not a master of anything". I suppose after living for so long and after fighting in so many wars he had to have been a master of several if not all of the forms. On top of that you compare them with Revan wielding only one saber. He was also known to fight with two and a master of it as well. He was a scholar of war so all his time was devoted to learning and perfecting techniques. Where did Yoda got to master his techniques to such an extent?
On top of that ... it was not just versatility in the way he used the force. The output was immense as well. On top of that he could use force AND saber at the same time which would make it a lot harder for yoda to deal with him.
Also keep in mind that Mace Windu beat the emperor but Yoda did not. Some attribute it to Windu having dabbled with the dark side of the force before where Revan was a master of as well.

This guy took the idea that generalists are never masters of anything too far, you can be a generalist and a master of some things, not like there's 100 lightsaber forms of combat only 7. Imo Revan did master them over so much experience in war which Yoda did not have. How is Yoda supposed to match that

Revan did master all 7 combat forms, Kreia herself explains it to you in KotOR 2, she says Revan had nothing more to learn (referring to lightsaber dueling)

@Emperor Vowrawn GM Luke, Sidious, Yoda, Mace Windu, and Darth Vader rank pretty highly against Old Republic characters. With the first 3 especially outright outclassing all but Vitiate. Everyone else get fodderized by the the likes of GM Luke, Sidious, and Yoda.
@Emperor Vowrawn Your comment made no sense. Force spirits have loose rules, and can be anywhere they want to be often. That doesn't equal to power or strength at all. That's just a feature of Force spirits. So acting like Kun being unable to leave his temple somehow makes him weaker to one of Nox's Force Ghost is plain weird. ESPECIALLY when he can't leave because the ENTIRE JEDI ORDER locked him in there in the first place. By every metric, Exar Kun is pretty much beyond Darth Revan, and only Revan Reborn actually arguably is better. And Post Dark Empire Luke was only defeated by Exar Kun when he had the additional power of Kyp Durron, an exceptionally powerful Force Sensitive.
So Exar Kun *2 beat DE Luke, and DE Luke only beat Palpatine in lightsaber combat, but never defeated him by himself with the Force; he simply used the same Wall of Light ability that the Jedi Order used on Exar Kun to cut off Palpatine's connection with his own Force Storm and let him destroy himself.
Revan is stomped by the likes of Sidious and GM Luke, whose feats far eclipse his own. And Yoda is stronger than him.

Plo Koon overall is a far superior duelist to Zash, let alone a weakling like Ffon. You're literally just nitpicking at specific aspects of characters and claiming SWTOR-era > than PT era. People keep saying revan would win but they are mainly biased. Sure you can say revan is a better character which I dont agree with but yoda lifted mountains and matched sidious. Sidious's power level is equated to 30 generations of sith knowledge and techniques, with each generation being stronger than the last and the first one in the lineage being darth bane, somebody who could most definitely beat darth revan. Revan gets his ass kicked and theres no question about it.
You guys treat the rule of two like it's db power scaling. Not every sith is going to be stronger than the last.

Every single ability of every single sith before palpatine was passed onto him as well as the essence of every sith before him. That makes Sidious the most skilled sith ever to live, and Sidious also happened to be insanely strong in the force. Revan can’t match Sidious and it’s as simple as that

It wouldn't necessarily make him stronger just give him a different form of combat.
I know that, but remember, different styles of combat can counter another, like how Djem So is strong against Makashi and Juyo/Vaapad but weak against Ataru

True.. the use of dual blades would make Yoda double his efforts in outmatching Revan's speed and tempo now that he is wielding two weapons and must therefore counter both, making the fight a bit faster, and would therefore tire Yoda down faster. However, this would also mean that since he's expelling all his efforts, it would make Revan even more susceptible to losing in the Early and Mid fight, but this would therefore give him an even larger edge in the Late fight. The question would be if he manages to survive the early onslaught and prosper at the end

If I had to guess how this fight would go, considering Revan is considered the greatest tactical mind of his time, he'd probably very quickly pick up what Yoda has over him and...retreat.

Revan, unlike many in Star Wars, isn't too proud to run to get into a better position, and call it a hunch, but Yoda's Force Valor along with his body might not be enough to catch up to an opponent that is using the Force to just straight up run in a single direction.
I feel like that might tip things to a 5-5. If he won, Revan would probably think to himself;
"That was...frighteningly close. Too close."

I enjoy video about my two favourite Force users. I'm little sad my absolute favourite lost but I agree with your assesment of specialized mastery winning over adaptability. Despite that, I believe Revans understanding of the balanced Force is more valuable then Yoda's one sided perspective no matter how deep is his understanding.

Yoda easy, I love Revan but he's not top tier. Vitiate defeated him twice and held him prisoner for decades.
First off i get revan is overrated at points but you are underestimating him here

It's hard to see Revan winning anything when he has not been in any movies but honestly if you just know his story you would know he could easily defeat some of the greatest names in the franchise. He is what everyone in the franchise has been wanting to see from light to dark to light again but eventually dark again lol
And that use of both the light and dark culminated in him not defeating Vitiate and only achieving a blow back (as described in novel).

Yoda was so powerful that both Dooku and Windu, some of the most powerful force users of all time, were considered second to Yoda in both force abilities and lightsaber skills, and one of them had become THE master of Makashi, the lightsaber form literally created for lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat, and the other had created and mastered Vaapad, the most dangerous lightsaber form. Not only this, but Sidious, the most powerful Sith Lord of all time, tried to run away because he was legitimately afraid of Yoda. Honestly Revan would put up a good fight, but the odds are stacked in Yoda's favor. Even if Revan managed to win, it wouldn't be a stomp.

I dont understand why people keep saying Yoda lost to Palpatine in their fight when all Palpatine succeeded at doing was delay Yoda while he wait for his troops to reinforce him.
Fact is, Palpatine could not dominate him in the force and was disarmed in their lightsaber battle. He was constantly on the defense against Yoda, not because he didnt want to go on offense but because he couldnt. Yoda was an unstoppable freak of the force even against Palpatine. Clearly, Yoda won that fight.
True, Yoda failed in his mission to kill Palpatine, not because Palpatine was stronger in the force or a better duelist, the scene clearly shows Yoda was better in both fronts. Unfortunate for Yoda, Palpatine had the advantage in time and place. The Jedi had already lost by the time Yoda came into the play. The Jedi Council and Academy was no more and Palpatine already has a firm foothold of the Republic at the time Yoda arrived in Coruscant. In short, even before Yoda arrived, Palpatine had already won.
To use your basketball analogy in context, its like Yoda came to the game in the last 2 minutes when they are down by 50 points. He scores 49 and almost wins the game but looses for lack of time. Palpatine could not beat Yoda. All he did was survive Yoda for 2 minutes.

Yoda would have a 8/10 advantage at least, he was on par with Sidious who is confirmed to be the most powerful sith even over Vitiate (who beat-up Revan). Revan has zero chance without help from someone like Malek.
Actually no it’s confirmed vitiate and sidious were equals in force strength and according to the lore vitiate is no longer considered a sith he started out that way he be is described as a darkside force entity, so in context with the lore sidous and vitiate are more or less the same just in different time periods which sounds lame but that’s is the reality
Also your forgetting the only revan lost the fight was because last vitiate was being amped by the darkside planet so he had a boost in power from what he would normally have at the time and raven was stabbed in the back during the right
So in actually revan had all the odds staked against him and based on how he did if the conditions were equal then revan might have actually won
Plus your forget the the jejd out case form the mmo is not as powerful or skilled as revan yet beat vitiate because he wasn’t stabbed in the back
So have that make sense saying revan lost when the opponent essentially needed help

Anything Revan could do in those other situations only were capable of being done because he wasn't being shown in a live action movie which are limited. Sidious and Vitiate are not equal and their accomplishments kind of represent this.
In 1500 years Valkorian was incapable of controlling the entire known galaxy while Sidious accomplished this around the age of 60 or 70. Sidious already went head to head with the two most powerful Jedi ever. Oh, and what George said then was not irrelevant and won't be until he says it no longer is relevant. George is the ultimate voice on SW matters and he has constantly pointed out that he has vision of what he has said and won't make exceptions to his unchanging ideas. When he said Sidious was greatest Sith of all time he meant it. There's very few times where he makes exceptions like in this case of Mace Windu's lightsaber color.
@Lytral Which is even harder, it would be far easier to take over a weak struggling government. Sidious took over one of the longest established governments to ever exist. He did this under the nose of the two most powerful Jedi to ever live. He killed Darth Plaguesis. He personally was involved with taking out half of the Jedi during Order 66; killing four Jedi Council Members, and causing Yoda to run into exile, and turned Anakin into his apprentice. Three of those masters died in possibly the most impressive example of a force scream. That is brutal force. He mocked both Maul and Savage in a dual with ease. As for Bane; well, he just made the Jedi think the Sith were gone and he barely accomplished that. Lord Farfalla nearly exposed Banes secret, not to impressive. Sidious and Plaguesis came up with the plan to take over the senate, the clones, to use Dooku to set up a war, and ultimately to watch Anakin very closely. Sidious definently had the ability to use full force to take over. That was made clear by the fact the Seperatist could literally overrun the Republic at any time because they built droids faster then clones grew. Sidious realized the mistake of the other Sith prior to him such as Vitiate / Valkorian. He took over the galaxy faster, fought toe to toe with the greatest Jedi to live, and figured force essence transformed extremely fast. Also George didn't ever really support any SW content that he wasn't directly involved in so Valkorian wouldn't exist probably if George had anything directly with that video game project.

I think it depends on the time period from which we take Revan. The novel version for instance was able to turn Darth Nyriss, a member of Viciate's Sith council, into ashes with one single strike of force lightning.
Exar Kun has displayed impressive use of the force as well, but Sith sorcery/alchemy are hard to imply in combat and Revan has proven to be capable of defending against extremely powerful force attacks.
NerdWana In combat, Kun has his gauntlets allowing him to use force blasts. That is a power I don't think Revan has defended himself against. As for illusions, Revan could easily pull it off. Its more of the lightsaber combat that Revan will have issues with.
Revan has this. Revan is more knowledgeable and can use both sides of the Force. Revan comes from periods of time where combat was much more frequent. He's power is considerable for his time.

My bet is that Sidious would go down first.
His one ace is his Force Lightning - particularly the potential for Force Storms.
That said, if he is sneaky and isn't noticed by either Revan or Yoda, which would take a lot of skill and luck, he might be able to get them.
Yoda beat Sidious back in Revenge of the Sith. It might look otherwise, but Sidious stalled and escaped first, not Yoda.
Revan would butcher Sidious in a 1v1. He fought Sith Lords who were considerably more powerful. Plus, Revan knows things that Sidious wouldn't be able to do much.
But if we wanna put Palps in a fight just for giggles, I think it'd be hilarious to have him try to fight Darth Nihilus, only to gape like a fish when said sith literally eats the Force Lightning.
I mean, Vitiate I suppose would be a more realistic example of a sith who could do that, but Nihilus is more commonly memed for eating a planet.

Phew... Sorry this took so long: I was in South Africa for ages! Okay. Let me start by commending you on this: I can't even begin to imagine the effort that one has to put in to a video, especially one this controversial, and have it come out so spectacularly. Now the video itself, the voice-acting at the beginning was spot on and I feel that it summed up the eternal conflict of the Jedi and Sith very well. The analysis' were superb and gave us plenty of information of the characters (one minor complaint being that you underplayed Revan's speed quite a bit in the first round, he would not be a sitting duck when Yoda attacks, especially since Dooku seemed to keep up just fine). I felt this match was a "duel of the fates". A spectacle and a masterpiece. Yoda obviously took the match and while I did see this coming, I did hope that you would give Revan a bit more credit in the mid round as I don't see Yoda countering Revan's force attacks without stopping his lightsaber sequence, therefore giving Revan a reprieve (although you technically couldn't do this because then there would be a tie, leaving us all confused). I feel this match could've gone either way and I truly love how you interpreted this glorious battle. Well done Antoine :)
I think the one clencher for this fight is Yoda and Revans' ability to sense each other in the force, Yoda can sense anyone from far away, while Revan could only sense those he was close to at any distance, but in the end Revan could pulse a simple force stun through the connection, which would destroy Yodas' early advantage, and was his greatest vulnerability

-defeated a conflicted, wounded, and non lethal intent Kylo Ren (who was ordered to bring Rey to Snoke ALIVE)
-didn’t get Luke to join the Resistance
-got (wo)manhandled like Snoke as if she was literally NOTHING and would’ve killed her on the spot were TLJ Kylo Ren was more like his TFA (prior to meeting Rey and killing Han) and just killed her as the “son of darkness, heir apparent to Lord Vader”.
-barely bested 2-3 Praetorian Guards while Kylo fought the rest
-didn’t redeem Kylo (TLJ) and tied with breaking Skywalker Saber
-accidentally damaged BB-8 due to lack of focus during a training session with a droid
-thought she killed Chewbacca through the power of the dark side
-loses every mental fight with TROS Kylo Ren
-lost to Kylo Ren (uninjured, no conflict, no holding back) and would’ve either been killed (Palpatine warned him that betrayal will result in the Final Order will be turned against him), though Leia’s death distracted him before he could deliver the finishing blow resulting in Rey defeating him
-almost went TLJ Luke route before being encouraged by him (who realized that he was wrong) to face her fears
-almost gave in to the Sith Ritual weren’t it for Ben Solo
-was immobilized by Sidious’ clone and was drained through the dyad that she shared with Ben
-pretty much DIED after giving herself over to the Jedi spirits guiding her against Sidious
-could restore Ben back to life.
TLDR: Rey’s showings in the Sequel Trilogy gave us this undeniable fact: she is completely screwed regardless of who she’s facing. Yoda would blitz her. Revan would outmaneuver her through tactics and experience.

This is a tough one for me. I feel Yoda would win begrudgingly at a 51-49. I wouldn't undermine Revan for losing to Vitiate. Vitiate was literally fucking immortal and was the Dark Side incarnate even beyond Darth Sidious. Vitiate even trasncended to become a pure consciousness.
I love Revan but I gotta admit Yoda was a fucking Jedi Grandmaster for centuries unlike Revan who was a Jedi Knight when he fought in the war with Malak. Yoda has way too much experience over Revan even though Revan is a seasoned war veteran. In lightsaber dueling Revan could keep up due to his ability to wield 4 lightsabers being able to have 2 of them in the air with the force. The numbers could help him keep up with a master duelist like Yoda and get to the mid and late fight. I don't think Yoda would be used to having to fight 2 lightsabers flying around in the air while Revan kept him preoccupied. Revan could also teleport so he could easily teleport if the going got tough and force the fight to draw out. Revan can beat Yoda but Yoda would just have a better chance of winning because to me Revan was more of a great war leader than a one man army like Yoda.
i doubt revan could teleport, if you can provide a link to evidence to prove me wrong that would much appreciated. the 2 lightsabers in the air I can believe especially as he did train under kreia at one point (who is known to weild 3 lightsabers in the air).

I agree that in the case of a no-context fight, Revan will lose to Yoda.
But he's a far better strategist and leader than Yoda. Give them both half of a galaxy and I'm pretty sure Yoda will be hiding somewhere again after one decade at most...
Not to forget the fact that in reality, Revan will never take the risk meet someone as strong as Yoda alone. He'll probably lurk him in a trap and kill him together with some other Sith.
Outstanding work, I really love how you highlight the actual text where you are getting your facts from, and then show it to us to pause and read. I really think this would go as a tie, I agree with everything you said, but I feel you left out something important, Reven in his book damn near vaperized a counsel level Darth with his force lightning, that shows the raw power he held, true we don't know much about her, maybe that's why you deemed not to mention it.
In the mid fight when he opened himself up to the light and dark to push Yoda back, this is something Yoda has never even believed was possible, it would catch him 100% off guard, I think Yoda would be stunned and injured far too much to begin attacking right away again, giving Revan a 3/0 in that round.

Revan vaporized Nyriss with tutaminus, not his own Force lightning. He turned her power against her. It was her lightning that was going to turn him to ash. Also, if he tried to get into a tug-of-war lightning battle with Yoda, Yoda would win (based on his contention with Sidious and Revan's contention with Vitiate).
Again, as described in the book, the combo of light and dark did nothing more than what a Force repulse would do.

I see what you're saying about Yoda's late game but I'll have it be known that in the original canon Yoda dueled a dark Jedi upon his landing on Dagobah for over 3 days straight. This is where the original presence of the dark side essence on the cave came from. Great video!
