The biggest news for speed lovers is the introduction of an all-new 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 gasoline engine optimized by Ford Performance to produce up to 392 horsepower at 5,650 RPM and 430 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 RPM. The new engine provides a huge increase in power over the current 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine.
The 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo engine features a compact graphite-iron cylinder block, which saves weight while providing strength for durability. Ford Performance has ensured that the engine offers immediate response when accelerating and an anti-reverse system that emerges from racing and that allows rapid delivery of power on demand.
In addition, the engine is programmed with an individual turbo compression profile for each of the 10-speed automatic transmission for optimized performance.
Ford Performance engineers have completely redesigned the suspension. New strong yet lightweight aluminum upper and lower control arms, long-travel front and rear suspension and a refined rear axle are designed to give you more control over rough terrain at high speeds.

Pain in what ways? I'd be hard pressed to think any on the lot (assuming no clown-like dealer mark ups) will be under $65K.

In terms of looks the previous one is the best, i love the masculine looks of the old one. While of course the new one is ahead of being new hahaha nothing more nothing less.

I'm also gonna echo everyone else's opinions here and say that I prefer the old model. I may be biased as I already own one.
I like the fact that the T6 Ranger Raptor is a lot more basic than the Wildtrak. The dashboard uses the XLT analog gauges with more aggressive lettering. There are less driver safety aids on the Raptor than the Wildtrak as well, which means you actually have to pay attention to the road when you drive. I also prefer the smaller Sync 3 touchscreen. It's not invasive and has Android Auto which is all I really require in a modern vehicle. I have sensitive, bitch ass eyes with bad astigmatism so large screens are an automatic no from me.
The newer Ranger Raptor might have the better suspension with the positive castered front end, but the T6 is stable enough as it is. I've yet to understeer at high speed in mine, and IMO it's actually rather agile already. The steering only feels floaty because it's still a massive pickup truck in the end.
The more powerful V6 options in the new Ranger Raptor is probably the only thing I would be envious of. The biturbo 2.0L is no slouch, but it severely lacks top end power. I short shift at peak torque when I'm gunning my own T6 so that it keeps accelerating, which is quite easy on the engine thanks to the 10 speed, but I'll be honest and just say sometimes I want more. Top speed is 170kph, which I could do in a shitbox.
Then again, in normal conditions, it's not like you use 213hp or more all the time. I know I don't, so I don't actually regret buying a Ranger Raptor just September last year when the new one was announced; not especially because of fuel prices right now.

Outside looking, the old one. The difference in looks from the regular Ranger is much more obvious in the old model,looks much more aggressive . Owning an Ranger Wildtrack, I would prefer having an old Raptor on the outside with the engine ,tech and interior of the new model.

It's not exactly a "new" look.. It is just new outside of US and Canada, because it is designed to look like a mid-sized version of the North American full sized F-150 Raptor.. I think it's a beautiful thing!

Im sure this variant of ranger raptor will not come here in philippines bec. I think it wouldn't be as having a big market compare to the previous 2.0 ranger raptor the reason is this variant is using petrol or gasoline unless they will make a version using diesel fuel for this variant. Filipinos mostly wanted a pick up truck which is economical and cheap fuel consumption.
This might be true until war breaks out and diesel price skyrocket, no more significant price difference plus gas engine runs smooth compared to diesel and maintenance too.

If the Old One is no longer available when I'm ready to buy, I would go for the Toyota Hilux or the Ford Wildtrak.

I was ready to make my decision to get one but changed my mind. No window opening on the back. That's vital if you are in a construction business when some of your materials sometimes can go through. For that reason I'm getting a ZR2 instead.

The previous models front design was probably modified by Ram to make the TRX look more aggressive as the angle lines are clearly the same. The new model looks larger but less aggressive.

Only am American stylist's mother could love the face of that god-ugly new pug dog. It has all the joy of a brick wall. I do like the big screen on the dash though. The previous model was MUCH more aero and handsome. Such a shame the new one was styled in America - they try hard but usually spoil the look of most things on wheels. Oh, BTW, it is pronounced ALU-MIN-I-UM, not AL-OOOOO-Min-UM. So sorry the education system left most Americans behind in that regard. Not rocket science. Oh, and it isn't a TRUCK for godsake, it is a UTE (short for utility). Trucks are giant things that deliver the groceries cross-country to the supermarket and have 8 litre stinking diesels. This device has a twin turbo V6 so it may be worth your coin.

Totally agree with the majority! The wife and i went to Ford Dealer, looked at the 2023 model, and were 100% Disappointed so much that we went out and found a 2022 model we could not be happier! I only liked 1 thing about the new model the big Screen and that is all. Dont like the new look its Ugly to me and don't like the Box front or the Weak looking rear end. It looks Cheap even the interior design looks cheap. Not sure about the new Raptor but a blogger here in the Philippines bought a new 2023 WIldtrack and had it long enough to get a flat tire and found out the SPARE was not even a Heavy Spare and did not match the same size of his other tires. Let's be real about Trucks and 4x4s if they going to cost as much as they do the least the manufactory can do is provide a good spare tire same size as the other 4. Come on talking about being CHEAP. LOL So everyone check your SPARE to ensure Same SIZE as your others. If ur one of the ones who like the new one then feel free to buy one! Dont forget that we told you so :))
