It's scary to contemplate this scenario, but this movie shows us some of what it might look like.

This was a memorable film. When I saw it in theater I was trying to map this onto red/blue but that doesn't seem to fit. Of course that wouldn't be clean since nationwide red/blue is largely rural/urban.
I was also trying to match locales. Their route was supposed to be towards Pittsburgh then through WV to DC, with a detour towards Charlottesville, but that clearly not where it was shot. Apparently it was shot largely in Georgia, much flatter with trees that are different from what we're used to in PA, WV, VA.
    Good film. Thoughtful reaction.

I'm pretty sure many of those who criticize and or neglect that there are multiple "unlikely" factions in this have never played a game of RISK with friends or understand that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" or seen what has transpired during history🤣

This is a important movie and can mentioned together with Salvador and Under Fire, which I can only recommend to you.

Alex Garland also wrote and directed MEN, which more people should react to cuz it's a wild ride 😉👍

I really liked the ambiguity. I feel like it was just trying to portray a "what if" there was another civil war in the US. Just little vignettes captured through the lenses of war photographers. I think it accomplished that. I know people that didn't like how vague it was, but I don't think I'd have enjoyed it as much if it tried to "pick sides" or try to invent a reason the war happened. Just show, don't tell.

Everyone always talks about the federal troops would flatten the Mitia. But they could not even beat the Taliban. Now you have U.S veterans that know the terrain where they live and really are fighting for America. Now I don't think so. Plus, do you think all those soldiers would attack their own state.

This is another one that I only watched because I wanted to see your reactions to it (the other ones were Beau is Afraid and LA Confidential) but I'm glad I watched it because it was way better than what I expected it to be. You guys keep picking stuff that I wouldn't pick for myself and they've all been sooooo good. 💙

I had been really looking forward to this flick, but it left me wanting, I gave it a 6 out of 10.
