Something I noticed with my unit of this monitor is that the refresh rate goes back down to 120Hz in fullscreen mode while gaming. Switching to windowed borderless fixed the issue, but maybe just something to investigated during your full review.
Got same issue but also not only does my refresh rate drop to 120 Hz it also increases the resolution to 3840x2160. There is no way around it other than running in borderless/windowed.

Love the design on these new Ultragear monitors but I don't see this worth it compared to the GP 850 version which you can find for 300-350 dollar on some ocassion. Would have loved to see some implementation of miniled on these Ips panel. Maybe in the future hopefully.
How long is the DPI cable? I have 3 of these on the way and couldn't find the length anywhere. If I know how long I can plan in advance Great video thanks for showing this
Which of them would you prefer for FPS gaming? Is the ghosting at the 950 noticably better in Games than on this one? Would you prefer the 4K of the 950 with 144Hz over the 240Hz of this one?
@@TypeCTechReviews Do you think that actually in the 32GQ850 IPS Glow is minimized by using ATW filter? Can you see the difference compared to the GP950?

how hard is it gaming on the 32' monitor? I was thinking of this or the asus 27' xg27AQM that overclocks at 270htz but cost 100 dollars more? What do you recommend?
Great video, link to uk amazon listing brings up a different monitor. Any thoughts on the RGB colours.? Id also be wanting a screen thats good for photo editing.

Recently I’ve been reviewing so many that I always have a new monitor on my desk (I use whatever monitor I’m reviewing for all my tasks to fully test it). But when I am not in the process of a review, I’m using my LG 34GP83A-B.
I bought the monitor and it's locked at 144hz, I have not found the way to get the supposed 240hz, I tried everything. I own a 3060, and a ryzen 9 6900, I connected the monitor through the HDMI 2.1 included in the box. PLEASE HELP
For Downscale (16:9) 4k to 1440p or 1080p will be better or Ultrawide (21:9) 1440p to (16:9) 1440p and Ultrawide (21:9) 1080p to (16:9) will be better? Please test these 3 resolution and 2 ratios in one monitor Which one should I pick for better downscale when my GPU can't handle games in the future? Is it looks bad or good? Can you please make a video of it? There is no video of it with a good explanation on youtube. Try different games both Ultrawide and 4k and downscale them from 4k to 1440p and 1080p and 21:9 Ultrawide, 1440p and 1080p (16:9 Ratio) I am really confused by these two monitors which one will be best for downscale when my GPU can't handle games in the future. I want the best in 3 worlds, 4k or Ultrawide, 1440p, and 1080p. And another one is curve feels uncomfortable since it's curved. Are games look weird, curve-looking, and stretched? Hope you see this comment. Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
In the reality it's a 10 bit (8bit+FRC) panel, not a 12 bit panel. If G8 Neo is better than GQ950, it will be better than GQ850. It just seems to be because of human memory. We can't remember exactly what it has been before. They must be compared side by side. In HDR G8 Neo is definitely much, much better than GQ850-B and it costs much more. Without any FALD it's impossible to have a good HDR experience. 1000:1 is a very poor contrast. In every single scene HDR changes almost every color gradation. It's impossible to compare 1000:1 IPS (HDR600 1000:1 isn't a "proper" HDR) and 20000:1 Neo (twenty thousands) because the difference is stunning (side by side). IPS (without FALD) simply can't show any proper shadows and the evening/dawn/dusk can look like a day time in IPS but in Neo it will look like the evening/dawn/dusk. The night scenes is another story, in IPS it's horrible (black crash) compared to Neo or QD-OLED. QD-OLED/OLED is a winner in the night scenes, as there is some black crash in Neo. In SDR this monitor is OK and may exceed (color gamut and color volume) in some scenes Neo or QD-OLED but in HDR no, there is no any real HDR and HDR is HDR, it's preferrable to SDR. The difference is great.
Yea, 4K at 32 inches is absolutely where it’s at. However, I think this monitor is going for the people who get 27 inch 1080p high 240hz monitors, and this is leaps and strides better than most of those.
Finally I have been waiting for a review of this monitor for some time can't wait for the full review :)
Even now that I buy it, this video still appears 10+ times on my feed...like WTF :)) Good video btw, keep up the good work 🎉

I bought the 850 for $499 AUD, it’s the cheapest I could find I looked everywhere online, plus everything in Australia is more expensive
this has LGs new ATW polarizer, so backlight bleed is basically a non issue.
Will this new design come in curved eventually?
I believe so in the future with their ultrawides. However, just based on LG’s previous monitors, probably not.
Curious If you put series x at 1440p, would it give a higher fps during gaming then the sister Lg 4K 120 monitor.
Enjoy your unboxing vids and first impressions.
It is 469$ right now on amazon. I got a ps5 recently and looking for a hdmi 2.1 monitor. Can i get this one?
I am interested on buying this monitor you think is a good monitor only to play with a ps5?
don't waste your money a Ps5 is on 120hz frames no benefits on a ps5 unless u have a PC
Hi! Did you buy it for PS5? Is it ok? I am looking for monitor also for PS5.
and is the picture quality better than the 165hz version?
Could you please adjust the best settings so we can see the potential of 32GQ850
where did u get that home screen/backround
Do u guys think they will be releasing a version of this in UWQHD with ATW?

What is the recommended scale percentage for this monitor ? GQ950 is 150% which is high number
So you returned the GQ950? Or was it sent to you by LG for a review?
Unfortunately LG doesn’t send me any monitors, I just bought both of them for review. So far, I’m really enjoying this one, and I still have my GP950.

Does overclocking damage monitor? Even though it has ability to overclock from box does it affect the resource in general and the length of usage?
Overclocking decreases the lifespan of the monitor, since it's working harder to pump out a higher refresh rate than it's certified to do.
@@zxnful_ it has overclocking capacity from box

Yes, and good luck with burn-ins. Oled technology isn't ready for computer usage as of 2023.
we all prefer Oled buddy, but people like me who stream the same game for 8 and 11 hours would definlty effect my pocket every single year.

Does gsync compatible also mean that this display has the gsync module installed? Or is that reserved for gsync ultimate monitors?
If it’s compatible that means it just has the software but the module is for the ultimate monitors
