Hello brother! So glad to see you're channel taking off! Very interesting content. I have one recommendation however, a gimbal! I belive a gimbal would make the videography much smoother as you move the camera around to show different elements of your gear. DJI makes really good gimbals but you can find cheaper ones I'm sure.

That is sweet! I’m guessing that the fine quality print is due to there being no ribbon between the type and the paper. I noticed the XKGB letters and immediately thought of 💩tin. 😝 Although I suspect once a KGB always a KGB. Go 🇺🇦!

Great video...thanks! Do you have any information on adjusting these so they type the correct letter? I have a number 6 and a 7 and neither one will type the correct letter. It's like they aren't synchronized.

There is a section in this video on making sure that you have a type cylinder that matches your Blickensderfer's layout. Having DHIATENSOR type cylinders in QWERTY machines and vice versa will cause universal mismatches between the character on the key and the character that is printed. If this is not the issue, I suggest posting your questions on the Typewriters Discord's #help channel at discord.gg/H85AARDa.

@@haelscheirs_haven I'll watch that part again in the morning. Both of mine have the QWERTY keyboard. I'll try to find the letter arrangement for the QWERTY cylinder and see if mine are different. Thanks for your help!

Why would you file down the typewriter instead of the type cylinders? I'd think the cylinders are much, much cheaper

I happened to land this typewriter for around $260 CAD. Each of those special cylinders cost 60 Euros on auction and are much harder to find than the machines themselves. They are made of vulcanized rubber, and there is not enough material on the bottom that you can remove before the central hole gets compromised and the cylinder is ruined. I am much more keen to lightly modify my Blick to be able to accept _any_ cylinder than to permanently damage these cylinders. I do agree that I made a mistake that led to more material being filed than was actually needed, but as you can see, the machine is fully functional, and I intend on keeping and taking care of it.

I checked and both of my type cylinders are the same and both are QWERTY so the problem must be another issue. I figured mine are QWERTY because they are a different layout than the ones you show in the video. My problem probably has to do with some of the parts not lining up properly. I'll join Disord and see if anyone can help there. Thanks.
