As an introvert, this video made me feel very comfortable. I would gladly eat in this restaurant, the place seems warm and comfy and the food looks delicious. I wish that kind of restaurant existed here in Europe.
American here, even if you’re not introverted this kind of “booth-for-one” system seems really nice. Sitting down at a restaurant alone over here in the US always feels weird with how everything’s set up to seat parties of people. Even if I’m enjoying some me time out of the house it kinda leaves me feeling lonely. Seating like this just completely removes that feeling.
Me too. Somehow people always went to restaurant with their friends while I felt kind of being judged for being alone since I usually eat on my way home after working.
@1999Beats I do not agree with you. The more likely reason is that it is uncommon in American culture to go out in public just to eat alone at a cubicle. In the US, restaurants are built open and sociable. If you want to eat alone, you stay home.
@1999Beats I've been to some fast food restaurants in America that has already replaced cashiers with computers that take orders for customers. It's definitely much cheaper and better for the bottom line, especially in cities with high minimum wages, to replace a worker with automation. These machines probably don't cost more than a few thousand, way less than what you would pay a minimum wager worker in a year. However, many people would prefer to have the human interaction. Japan is just not a society that favors that.
You are probably the first person I've watched doing one of these that actually tells us what the eff chashu IS without just assuming everyone watching knows..Thank you for this, dearly. Coming from America, a lot of times pork ramen (at least where I live in the US) doesn't necessarily always have pork coming with it (occasionally beef or chicken, or sometimes they let you choose which). So, while it might seem obvious it should be pork with the pork ramen, it isn't necessarily what everyone will automatically know because of things like that. It's also nice to get a step-by-step for if you ever get to visit the place on what to expect PRIOR to the meal and what it's like rather than just "Here's the food, it was good, it tasted like this". :D
Aging population means fewer and fewer young workers are available to serve the growing population of old people who need service. Coupled with Japanese engineering and innovation means the most vending machines in the world.

Me: wait what
pop gaming ikr no clue
Yup, it's not wrong. Green tea sauce for eating with dessert. Common thing in Japan
Pretty tasty but some people might not like it
It's not that bad actually
Despite being a Japanese, I’ve ever only liked matcha (green tea powder) in well unsurprisingly tea, what I mean is I don’t like any of the matcha desserts, there too sweet and have no matcha flavor
I have watched this video over 400 times. Cause I watch it so I can eat with someone. This truly is my comfort video :)
Teacher: "Okay, now draw a circle"
Me: 1:12
Why i laughed so hard
Relatable
Ramen is always right!^^ The flavor that warms the soul😎👍👍👍
"it is very appealing for those who are looking to dine alone and have some private time by themselves"
This seems to be every single human being in Japan
This is basically a introverts dream place
The chopsticks said: ~
Japanese restaurants have the worlds best service and they clearly take their jobs very seriously, much respect ✊
I'm hearing indonesian ppl talking in that video "gak setebel..." love from indonesia 😊💕
Lah iya yak, dikira w doang yang ngira😝😝
And I heard "tadi, yang kedua stempel pake..." Hahaha
hmm dikira misheard tapi eh beneran deng
Menit Ke Berapa Kak
Mantap gan
I have been bamboozled i thought the vending machine was gonna give him the ramen
One thing I love about this place, aside from the Ramen and the service, is the background music. So serene, and makes the experience more aesthetic.
Imagine coming with family!😹
I went with a group of friends, lol it was weird. We just wanted to experience it together. Ramen was one of the best I had.
You can remove the partitions too.
it's always nice have one of this in a cold winter time 😍
Eating a bowl of ramen and watching this right now!!! Whos' with me ??!!!
I’m going to move one house down from this place so I can be as introverted as possible.
Introverts are a bunch of pussies.
@@sohamsahu8959 I’m not a cat though-?
Correction: Many ramen shops, and local restaurants in Japan use “vending machines” as a simpler way to give the cooks what you want by giving them the ticket, and already paying in advance for good food. Not really “vending machines” but little ticket ballot printer things.
Edit: ***This video was only posted a week ago but it’s already got half a million views. It would suck to mislead people into thinking a vending machine dispenses ramen (some places do).
*hopefully you can like my comment to bump it up* to clarify the whole “vending machine” in the title. Also Ramen Ichiran is a very famous ramen joint located all over Japan. The first store originated in Fukuoka. You can find more various vlogs or whatever that go more in-depth.
*Fun Fact* : I broke one of these machines after wanting to undo something while printing my ticket. They had to bring a guy out to ask me what happened...🥴 I was still learning Japanese so it was a confusing mess to explain what happened and get my coins back lmao
...the whole point of Ichiran is to not talk to people.
Don’t be like me. 🥴
Wow! This place has no problem w/ social distancing. I'm thinking a lot of restaurants around the world might change into something like this.
And I would be happy
Japan :- **I am 4 parallel universe ahead of you**
Pannenkoek2012 : *_Interesting_*
An introvert(like me) worrying about having to talk to people for everything in life.
Japan: We don't do that here
This is good for having more chef employees than a single waiter.
I have in 2018 eaten there, i will never forget that. And i cry for more, i hope 2022 Will life and travelling go back to Normal.
I miss japan..........its heartbreaking for me.
Greetings from Germany.

Lady: Sir, you need to answer these questions so we can see if you are worthy enough to own a ramen soup as your pet.
This is one of the main reasons why I want to visit Japan someday. The food! 😍
Abu codm yt sent me here nice video ❤️
I love that they respect people's privacy too. ❤
Is that Ichirran? If yes, then that is sooooo gooooood! I love the ambience and the quality of the food is GOOD. My fav ramen restaurant in Japan!! You just reminded me to go back to Japan lol
What a great idea! An introvert paradise!
The ramen looked good and all but the one I really wanted to try was the matcha almond pudding. It looked so nice!
This dude spends his time eating the noodles when the broth is the best part
We can all agree that ramen is so soul warming, especially on a snowy night in winter. - v -
Other foods can do that too ya know.....not just ramen
@@bezz6466 they never said only ramen does that lol
@@subrkive just saying
That's the job I need.....you don't have to interact too much with the customers or even give them eye contact, and you just make Ramen all day, lol.
Robert Caldwell instant ramen sweatshop worker?
@@coolperson4582 ....did you see those prices? Yes, call me a sweatshop worker, at $8.98 a bowl of noodles with small strips of pork, and $1.19 for ONE boiled egg.....yes....please.
bro payed 9$ for a whole bowl of noodles. and where i live it would be like nearly 20$
Are we just gonna ignore that thumbnail and how clean those noodles lay on his spoon
The call waiter button is something the US needs SOOOOO much.
I like it how there a part of the video just named cold water
I might've screamed internally when you chose the max amount of garlic
Me: that chopsticks are amazing there's a bend on it
Camera: ha! Fooled you😎
Good grief this looks amazing. So much food for that amount of money too, and the added bonus of not having the awkward exchanges with your waiter? Even better.
Went to the Ichiran in Osaka, right around the corner from Dotonbori. It was the pork free one and I don’t know how you did extra rich broth. Hard to drink just regular broth but it was delicious..
I can’t wait until my next trip back!
Hey i know this is random after 11 months but do you know if Ichiran sells different flavors other than pork broth in their restaurants too or do they just sell pork broth ?
2:51 there sitting like they're in some detention centre 😂😂
fathima ullah they’re*
@@-lolipopbfb-1282 thankyou
fathima ullah ye
This restaurant has "mind yo business" theme. No one bothers the employees. No one bothers the customers. Love that.
I love these private booths what a great idea we need some where I live 👍
I love that you can hear the dudes moaning in the back appreciating the food
