I wish Ichiran was in California. When I went to Kyoto on Spring this year, this was hands down the best Ramen I've ever had. The meat was unbelievably chewy.
Why? You Americans are Sociable people! Why do you want to avoid other people in American kind, accepting and friendly society! This is really harmful to mental health!
I’d personally say that being around others more than necessary bad for my mental health. Socialising is overrated. Why do you need to spend time with others anyway? Just stay home, order some nice food in, turn on the console and AC. Life couldn’t be better. Spending time at a party or outdoors sounds like torture tbh.
Have had the Raman in NYC but have not been to Japan to try it there yet. Visited my Friend Kichii in Portland Or where he lives now after moving there from Japan many years ago and he took me to a place called Matsunoki Ramen there and it was amazing. He even said it was the most authentic ramen he has had since leaving Japan
@@deliciousjapan it probably is and i am also going to japan just for this, maybe also because i wanna see the japanese culture but who cares, the ramen is most important
Oh my oh my! That looks so amazingly good that my mouth is watering as I watch the ramen being eaten. Perfectly cooked and presented. Wish I could fly all the way from Canada to here in the next few minutes. I missed my supper tonight!!😊
Great clip! We lived for years in the quarter just behind Ichiran headquarters in Nakasu, Fukuoka. Yes, we did eat ramen 😀 Bones are boiled 24 hours and hams 4 hours, the smell on the backside where the fans exit out is horrible! But the ramen outstanding. In this and many ramen shops you can get a refill of noodles free or almost free if you have soup left, salarymen often get a refill. Yes, I always finished all soup 🙂Arigato!
I really could never get used to eat like that, coming from a country with very communal traditions, I always loved eating with my family, this would feel really really lonely even if the food looks really good
@@luisalbertosolisvillagomez6986 people aren’t eating there with their family though. 🙄You go alone or with a friend. Hotpot’s and sushi are where you go either your family.
I've had ramen so many times at restaurants and I always thought the broth too noodle ratio was too high. It never occurred too me that I could order more noodles without broth too finish my ramen.
I am a vegetarian since my childhood never ate any form of meat. Can you please tell me best ramen shops in tokyo for vegetarian? And if ichiran have the option of veg ramen ?
I love the special Ichiran in the box shaped bowls too, but it is possibly the heaviest oiliest and saltiest ramen I have had in the years of being here. I only finished half the broth and I woke up in the middle of the night with sodium overload. I had to drink 3 bottles of water and make friends with the toilet for an hour after eating this.
This would be the first place I surely visit if I came to Japan... I'm afraid just for one thing.... the taste of the pork bone broth ...down here we're not too used to that taste....🍥🍥🍥
Unlike in countries, where customers tend to dine in 2 or 4's, Japan has a lot of single diners, most of them are maybe office workers who dun have the time to engage in a conversation while they eat during lunchtime, so they prefer to eat alone quickly and go back to work i guess. Some is just lonely and lives alone and dines alone.
It's just a curiosity... But I was seeing the forms of paying and I am seeing things like Alipay, Line pay... So the question is, is it usual to pay for things with Visa, Mastercard and American Express in Japan?
i know if i went to here or to any other ramen shop, i would always have either pork, beef, or chicken, a hard boiled egg (sorry if this bothers people), and a bit of black garlic oil
the professional chopstick technique to break that egg is to make an X with your sticks, then pulling them together to make a V, cleanly bisecting the egg.
By slurping, It also brings the soup with your noodle into your mouth which makes food taste more delicious imo. same
I dont think the meat should be chewy. It should be extremely soft tender and juicy, you might mean the noodles. Haha!
There’s even better than Ichiran. It’s just a chain.
They have some in new york now same great taste
I love how everyone has their privacy while eating. I wish we had something like that in America.
You could eat at home. Delivery services are a thing.
No other ramen shop in Japan offers this level of privacy.😮

Yeah but when it comes to Ramen that best eaten right when it's done, not the half hours after it gets to your home, @@mikemayo4812

NYC ichiran shops had the porcelain boxes for their ramen bowls until a little after covid and then they went back to a regular bowl

Me to😅
Vegetarian ramen is not available at Ichiran.😥
If you visit Ichiran in NYC, it's the only location of Ichiran with a vegan ramen. I've tried both and actually prefer the vegan one :)
not available in ichiran but if you don't wanna eat meat order regular and take out meat
broth is another problem cuz it's pork bone
This vegan culture everywhere is getting over the top to be honest. Humans were meant to eat both meat and vegetables..

Peeling your own egg: This is when the little hot towel before eating is a must!
Crazy good value at today’s ER. The equivalent is double in London and we don’t even have an Ichiran. 😫
No Brasil, não temos restaurantes que oferecem essa privacidade. O prato escolhido parece delicioso.
The ramen looks very good, I hope you enjoyed the food. See you in the next videos!

Ask the clerk and he will tell you. There are many people who can speak English at Ichiran.

What is the consensus on slurping? Bad manners or compliment to chef?
Japanese people are accustomed to eating with a slurping sound.

I understand many foreigners are disturbed by this sound, so I eat ramen or soba without slurping when I see foreigners in the restaurant but it just doesn’t taste like when I am slurping it.
You slurp to eat the food it’s not a contest to see who makes the most noise
By doing that you inhale more air that cools down what are you eating. It's not that deep of and explaination I know, but that's the simple truth
I'm a bit surprised by the lines and wait times at restaurants in Japan. Waiting for 30 or 40 minutes is a bit strange.
Actually, I'm not very good at waiting either.💦
