This song is tuned down a half step - Thanks to Boss for sponsoring today's video! Download the Boss Katana patches I used here: bosstoneexchange.com/liveset/227e085a-b44b-4665-a689-27edc18776aa/ and bosstoneexchange.com/liveset/00467dcc-1301-404c-9c69-78f523c04b18/
It would be nice if Boss could provide a solution for using .tsl patches across different Boss products, e.g., Katana patches are not compatible with GT-1 etc. Anyway, thank you very much for the lesson :)
Hey Marty ! Have you ever considered making a guitar lesson for Little Barry's song "Why don't you do it"? Would be wonderful on your ES 335. Anyway thanks for the good work ans cheers from France. Adrien
I was just ready to ask about this. Love the sound of this. Just turned on a beginner to your channel & he loves it. Thanks for making it easy for all of us no matter what level we're at. I know you've helped my playing a lot as I'm sure you have many.
What a classic rock song. I clicked that as fast as I could. Such a great lesson and of course such a great song. Hope you make some more skynyrd lesson because they got some classics apart from the most famous ones such as call me the breeze, Tuesdays gone, On the hunt etc. Anyway thank you for this great lesson. Best teacher on the internet!!
Like ive said before my friend youre the eassiest teacher to follow...im 63 played all my life..now i am an advanced beginner no more. Youre teaching seems just write for me
I've went from learning songs over hours and hours to 30 minutes or less from watching your videos Marty. You make learning songs the easiest and simplest way of anyone else.Thank you so much for all you do..Two years going from not knowing anything about guitars to about 50 plus songs and riffs all from RUclips and Martymusic.thanks
Yep, I used to have to stop and rewind, watch several times, etc. Now i can pretty much play aling and "get it" in real time while watching. Marty is the best.
Marty. Back in like 2010 was the year I started playing guitar and found your RUclips videos and set my foundation for playing for years to come. I thought your channel ended cuz I stopped seeing it, but now realize you created a new one that grew even bigger. 3mil?! Back then you have a few thousand maybe haha. Thank you so much for all your help over the years. Literally my first teacher even tho I never met you. Your a blessing sir
Been practicing a pentatonic scale from one of your other videos, decided to switch it up and learn this song ….. it really paid off doing all that practice prior! Thanks Marty I actually felt like a rocker star!
Another great lesson to add to the growing list to learn from you! Thanks for keeping me so active on the guitar, always seems to come right at the time I get a little lazy on the guitar and then you inject some fresh energy into wanting to learn more tunes. Awesome! :D
This is the song I'm concentrating on as I'm relearning after a LOONNNNGGGG time not playing. Using a looper with the chords as a metronome. Thank you for your style of instruction.
Hi Marty, so I grew up listening to this one song called “Life is beautiful” by Sixx AM and it would mean a lot if you could make a lesson for it. I can’t find any good ones and I’ve been watching you for years. It would really mean a lot if you could. Thanks
Hey Marty, great lesson. Super glad you taught this song on electric apart from the acoustic version you did years ago. Not too sure if you've heard of the band Dirty Honey, but they're a new up-and-coming band with some great chunky Les Pual riffs. A lesson on one of their more popular songs would be awesome and enjoyed by others I'm sure.
HEEEEY Marty ! THE Master Guitarist Master teacher Jedi just keeps getting more masterful !!! Great sound from the Gibby LP, the Katana, & most of all, the fingers of the Master. Thanks Sir for another great one !!!
MR.Marty the man..I've been watching and learning from you for years..Could you teach us a few song's by Kiss like,Cold Gin or Strutter or maybe Black diamond..Some of there older stuff Is pretty awesome and shouldn't be to difficult to play..I hope you can do this but If not you're still the best..Take care and thanks a million for what you've taught me and many others..You rock Marty..
I love this song. My favorite by skynard. I'm an old Fla. Boy. Southern. Born. Bread. I play this on a old flat top. And it dont sound bad nither,, acoustic style. But the words mean so much. And the music just fits. The story line. It was a great bit of song writing. In my opinion,,,,,
Hi Marty I just went from playing harmonica to playing guitar. Maybe half a half step! (Honestly, it was quite tricky to tune for this)
Why do you tune down a half step? To confuse a simple man?
That opening gives me chills
