@@sebastianholmes5020 Still a good effort. I'm sure you've got your own training plan, but the one key element to training for a marathon is easy-pace long runs. When I went from running half-marathons to full marathons, this is the key thing I focused on - time under feet. I also did more strength training because you need your core to hold up, especially after the 30km mark (this is when many people start to suffer because their body begins to fail). I know someone who's pretty good for the HM (1:43:00) but really trails off for the marathon (4:30:00). When I asked him about his training for the marathon, he said he really didn't put in much more training than for the HM. And looking at his times, I could see after 25km and especially from 30km, his km/mile times just kept getting slower and slower.
I’ve been watching this video every month leading up the Honolulu marathon Tomorrow thank you for this motivation hopefully I break 3:00 hours tomorrow!

Now, let's do Boston! I just got my BQ too. Thanks for the motivation. I'm in the Clydesdale class too.
Congrats 🤙🏽
yay to Clydesdales! "You're too big!" "You're too old!" "You're too sexy!" Naw man, let's do it!
Not sure why, maybe it's because I have been following your journey for awhile now, but this video made me emotional and overwhelmed with happiness for your success and completion of this goal! Great job Nick! Thank you for being an inspiration to tons of people.
uly and the rest of the creative team behind this video did such a great job
Thanks man!!
What a great video. So so good. I struggled for 5 years to break 4 hours. My fastest marathon now is 3.43. This made me want try and break 3!
I literally almost teared up at the end
Just got really into running in the past year, you’re an inspiration and your videos help drive me!!!
Been watching since the first Ironman and it’s really cool to have been able to watch your journey. You earned this!
I’m 21 and started training today for my first marathon. 17 weeks out let’s goo 🙌🏼
How’d it go?
@@nrman66 Ran a 3:46!
@@tomasperry thats amazing!!!
Pure inspiration man! You are the reason why I did a 42k from home to a church nearby (3h:24m / 200m elevation) hope to do a sub 3 one day
Running my first marathon later in the year, you bet your ass I’ll be coming back to watch this video every single time I feel even remotely de motivated. Absolutely incredible. Well done.
everyone else missed the memo about shirts being optional
Nick's USP is being shirtless. The body gets YT clicks.
Especially the girl...
This entire video is inspiring but the last two minutes, starting at 13:08, hits you right in the heart. What a phenomenal message!
Just started watching and when the national anthem was being sung, i got teary eyed. Man. Such a powerful message to us all
Every time I hear the anthem I sing along to myself. Very powerful. The home of the brave!!!
I haven’t seen your videos for about a year man. How much has changed it felt like a movie. Good job man
Absolutely incredible Nick 💪🏼👏 congratulations on an outstanding run. You looked so strong wow.
We don't accomplish big goals alone, ever. This is proof that when we surround ourselves with people who are equally proud of us as we are of ourselves, that's when big things happen. It's been incredible to watch you slowly chipping away - been watching since before your first marathon!
"Its a team thing, not a me thing"! Goosebumps! Incredible accomplishment! Congratulations to you and the entire BPN team
It’s a solid accomplishment, but this video was just a 15 minute circle jerk for himself tho.
You are such an inspiration, Nick. Your team, your wife, yourself. Just amazing. I would love to work with you, and for you someday. I am a videographer, editor, colorist, bodybuilder, and cyclist. What a ride. Congratulations.GO ONE MORE!
Nicks wife is just as passionate as him. I love to see it! Keep inspiring.
He is a lucky man, isn't he?
Agree. Very rare to have a good wife. Range rovers have better reliability 😅 than a chance of having a supportive wife who pleases and supports you. Divorce lawyers confirm.
I cried all the way because I can relate to just how bad it is to want something, train for it, execute it and get it done! Great job! Thank you for being so inspiring! You are truly a mentor for me!!! #GOONEMORE
This man is undeniable. And this whole series is so well put together. Congrats on Sub 3 dude 🔥🔥
very inspiring, the biggest thing imo changed since first watching nicks attempts at marathon running was how he's leaned out and cut mass, obviously all the training and miles as well he is obviously mentally strong, he helped himself by physically transforming from a powerhouse into a endurance machine! chapeau!
Can't wait for the BPN "OVERCOMMIT" T shirts
I remember watching you back when you first started RUclips and I thought you were an inspiration then... I’ve never been more happy for anyone else to achieve their goals. When you said it’s not a me thing it’s a we thing... I think I speak for a lot of people on here when I say watching you and learning from your mentality has not only made us stronger but better people as well. Never quit and on to the next goal.
I actually teared up watching this, incredibly inspiring and well done on your effort Nick! It gives me motivation for my own running 💪
I’ve watched most of this guys videos. This is one of the best
Was going to take a rest day today but after watching that I am now in the process of putting trainers on and heading out! Congrats on sub 3 and thank you for the motivation Nick
💯
Get it bro 💯
WAY TO GO NICK!! Hard work and commitment pays off, and you're living proof man!!!
Natasha at minute 12 ~> god level motivation ~> right in the feelings
Had to rewatch this before my first ever marathon today. Going One More!
the national anthem gave me literal chills! Congrats nick!!
That muted sound in the beginning of the video is exactly what you hear when your pushing your body to the max like that. Awesome stuff
TOOK LONG ENOUGH BEEN WAITING ON THIS VIDEO FOR LIKE EVER LOL cant wait to see it
Because he did not do it !!
@@truth-Hurts375 what do u mean he didn’t do it?
@@truth-Hurts375 never heard that conspiracy theory before

Boston Qualifying time is something almost every runners dream and me as well. You are amazing runner. Congrats!
Hard Work and Discipline 🔥 Congratulations Nick, you deserve it
I know there were probably moments of doubts for yourself. But for those of us you’ve allowed to watch your journey and that have been allowed to catch a glimpse of your life, there was no doubt in our minds you’d succeed. It’s inspiring to watch you, your brand, your team, and everyone around you succeed. Wish you continued success!
Is it weird I've been nervous waiting to see that you got sub 3? Congrats!
Bruh! I can't be the only one crying! this was beautiful 👏🏾 Congratulations!!
Anyone ever see Nick run and you’re just like “Gosh I wish I had pecs like his”
Hop on some gear and you can do it too. Just gotta put in the work.
@@elstingergt3374 he is def on something but he is also one of the hardest workers I have ever seen
You guys are stupid asf if you think nick is on gear.
@@souponsoap543 do you genuinely think he is natural? If you’re not being sarcastic, I am baffled..
@@souponsoap543 no you’re fuckin stupid and naive if you think nick is natural, not taking anything away from his hardwork but he is clearly on gear
Everyone needs a coach as fired up as yours. Good shit Nick.
Solid effort, but I’d love to have that support and coaching for a whole marathon...
Have followed your journey...very happy to see you crush your goal and quiet the doubters. Way to go!!
Stuff like this fuels me to be the best I can. Motivation comes and goes and it’s the consistency that you develop that helps you reach your goals. My first marathon I did at 17 at a time of 5:33:14 and now at 20 years old I want to break 4 hours in my October marathon. I can’t wait to cry at the finish line again!!!
you got this sebastian!!
OK, so the big question is did you break 4 hours?
@@thepsychologist8159 sadly no. Got sick like 3-4 times and put me out for a week each time 2 months leading up to race day. Finished in like 4:37 which I’m still super happy about but still shy of that mark!
I cried when you crossed the finish line! Congratulations! 🎊👌🏼💪🏻
I’ve been watching this video every month leading up the Honolulu marathon Tomorrow thank you for this motivation hopefully I break 3:00 hours tomorrow!
How did it Go ?
This video inspires me almost every workout, thanks BPN team!!
Nice man , my best was 2h31min London Marathon 4 years ago , you doing really well all best
Fair play to you that's a bloody impressive time!! Got any training tips for someone like who is about to go for a sub 4hr time? 🤣
This is the definiton of a machine that wants to inspire and motivate people. I love your content
I commend anyone who can run long distance, the mental toughness alone required for it is crazy
Love that you’ve kept these videos as free! Great work as always.
I'm so happy he finally did it! Now time to go one more Nick!
Running a marathon without a shirt with race number 1.....this guy is a fake !!
@@truth-Hurts375 it’s harder to hate than it is to love. Build people up and don’t tear them down!
@@truth-Hurts375 Nick doesn't own shirts.

@@LR6092 think what you want. But I’d sit you down.
Big Congrats from the UK. Whatever your goal or target you set yourself, this vid portrays exactly how it feels to get there!! Awsome job
Congrats Nick! I also started my journey to do a Full Ironman and also attempting to do a 50 mile Ultra soon. I'm much older than you but never too late to chase your dreams.
Nick Bare is the reason I do my usual amounts of cardio while I'm trying to bulk. I love running ultras and marathons, I used to run a half marathon before breakfast daily. But this particular video I just discovered and now I'm keen on meeting my goal of running a sub 3hr marathon @225lbs single digit BF (6ft+1/3inch tall age 23)
I started my training today approximately 200lbs 20% BF and run a marathon at about the 5 hour mark (still rehabbing Achilles tendonitis, and not as fit as I can be yet to boot)
Long road ahead but I'm also inking genesis chapter 6 verse 3 on my left hand so we'll $33 $00N.
Love your content and amazing work ethos that inspires generations of fitness enthusiasts and warriors alike Nick!
Thanks so much for sharing with the world of RUclips
I felt like I was watching a Netflix documentary. The cinematography was top notch. Congrats man
"The cinematography was top notch"
- Yes, along with the fabricated marathon distance (not an official marathon) on a flat track, he was doing his best to erase the memory of his failed attempt at the 2020 Austin Marathon to prove to the world he could run a sub-3H. Come forward to his 'success' at the Buffalo Marathon, he now needs to go back and run the Austin Marathon that's kicked his ass twice, to prove he can run that course in sub-3H
I got chills watching this. You're so inspiring
congrats from Germany, Nick! That was a hell of a job! Sub 10 hours are coming, baby.
I am glad you had such an outstanding support network at your marathon. With you going through Ranger School, I seriously doubt you needed it. Nick, congratulations on yet another personal record in your life. You motivate more people than you will ever know.
damn this is good. seeing everyones hard work pay off all the facets of this team... huge. also i need a man on a golf cart when i go on my runs no question
This coach is a great guy. Well balanced personality
12:04 - 12:45 scene idk who edits the vids but beautiful, amazing scene
What a journey it has been. Made my day watching this. Congrats Nick !
Crazy how his running form drops at the end. Great running Nick!
lol, chafing and exhaustion will do that
@@patrickdewhurst3378 figured it might be chafing 😂
Love this video. Finally a runner/IM who can keep his weight on while running sub-7s.
He's a massive inspiration.
Not only is he tracking for speed, but he's keeping his calories on him!!! That's double the discipline and work.
Fucking love it.
Netflix documentary of the “iron businessman” should happen
This is better than anything I watch on TV or any streaming site. You should seriously consider making your next Ironman prep like a legitimate tv show style thing where you do 1-2 30 minute episodes per week on RUclips. These videos inspire 10s of thousands of athletes to get out there and push their limits. Awesome job.
Im running my first marathon on Saturday and I am SOOO nervous
Goodluck!
Crush it
u dont have to. u aint run a good time anyways
