I like this show. When I was a kind I was watching The Addams Family show from 90s and also cartoon. I remember seeing movie about family reunion I think. I think the main actress is good, I definitely see some similarities to Harry Potter/Hogwart's but not too many.

I really enjoyed y'all reaction to this show. I like how you took notes and asked questions at the end. Your kids face are so cool and I really enjoy that they are honest about their thoughts towards the show. I knew that your daughter would enjoy the romantic side of the show ☺️. And your son face and body language is so funny 🤣. I grew up watching The Addams Family movies in the 90s, the cartoon tv show and the reruns of the black/white version from the 60s. And it is amazing to have Christina Ricci 💞 (playing the normie teacher), who played Wednesday in The Addams Family movies in the 90s. I really enjoyed this new take on The Addams Family and hopefully you guys continue to watch all 8 episodes.

If you'd watched the original '60s TV series of The Addams Family, you'd know that fencing is kinda one of the family hobbies. It makes perfect sense that Wednesday would already be good at it. She's had years of training by Gomez.

Addams Family is a Rich odd family that is obsessed in opposite ways, like how they treat funeral as a birthday event or anniversary. They are known to be oddest of odd and used to deaths and dark humors. (They are also trained in Fencing especially Gomez is known for it)
Edit: Forgot to add this, Since the MC here is Wednesday Addams, She is known as the daughter of Gomez Addams. She is usually not bright and can mask her expressions, She is also obsessed at death and funerals, dark stuff🤷♂️
Due to the show, She sure is very skilled at Archery and Fencing and Incredibly Clever/Smart

You should have watched the old 1960’s TV series, at least a couple of episodes to get a working idea of the Addams Family, then maybe re-watched the 1990’s version again. Hello first time seeing you guys and subscribing. Welcome to Addams family.
First u need to understand that the Addams family are not living humans beings they are what is classed as the undead e.g vampires , zombies.
Addams family are somewhat unique in that they are not exactly vampires neither are they zombies.
They have some characteristics of vampires but are different from vampires.
P. S if u have watched the twilight series the Cullen's family is also a family of the undead ( vampires)
So basically everything which as normal human beings u will find scary or weird or maybe bad to the Addams family is the opposite feelings they experience.
The Addams family are very close and care for each other despite the hurtful things and ways they say / behave to each other.... U attack one means u attack all and they do not hesitate to retaliate if u hurt any member.
3. Also in the Addams family they don't joke in the normal way we do.... To them coming of different ways to kill ( won't exactly work as technically that are already dead) or torture themselves is what is fun for them.
3. Wednesday does not joke or make sarcastic comments or statements basically every statement or comments she utters are statements of fact e.g stating only her is allowed to torture her brother ( that's true basically all other versions of the Addams family as far back as the first series 50yrs or so ago is mainly about all the different ways she and her brother try to outdo each other in coming up with the most barbaric and torturous way to hurt each other.
4. In the Addams family the dad Gomez is the most cheerful one, the mum morticia is the cool beautiful and very protective of her family one.
The son / brother pugsley is mischievous while Wednesday is always moody and well u may say says sarcastic things whenever she speaks but recall I said it's not sarcasm to her.. they are actually statements of facts but to the recipient of such comments u d think she is been sarcastic.
5. The Addams family just like the Cullen's family are rich, multi talented, and very confident ( which comes across as very arrogant)

Does that mean that in the episode where she gets attacked in the woods that she could tactically have been killed by the Mysterious monster? I understand undead people/creatures can be killed in particular ways but I’m just wondering about the rules in this mythology. Or is it one of those things to where I’m just supposed to enjoy it and not ask too many questions? I am also wondering if if there are rules to the mythology if every iteration has the same consistency. Whatever the answer is I’m absolutely enjoying the show so far and thank you for the explanation and for subbing to the channel! -Shane
@@3rdstreetreactions hi basically it depends on what the writer wants. Previously held opinions was that for vampires that either a stake through the heart or exposing them to natural light eg sunlight can permanently "kill" them.
So u will see then most Dracula / vampires films had such. And hence the vampires used to sleep all day I'm their coffins and only come alive and active at night. When a human being thinks they are dead via any other method they simply come alive again after a while.
Also u need to note, that the undead have highly developed sense organs such that the sense/ smell/ feel/ hear/ see / run/ move/ think at a much quicker/ faster level than normal humans.
So for a, normal human to come within striking distance to think of killing them it's rare.
Hence usually only another vampires/ undead can kill one.
Also vampires then were potrayed as drinking and feeding only on human blood hence they cannot mix or be in a gathering of normal human beings as the scent of human blood will make them go into a feeding frenzy.
But with modern writers now they have now adapted and developed the ability to live and mix with normal people but that's also bcos such have made the decision to feed only on animal blood instead of human blood and so been in the mix of humans the craving for human blood is reduced practically to zero sometimes.
Also they have developed mannerisms of human eg gotten used to eating human food especially when in public even though when alone they would drink the animal blood as that's what they actually prefer as a meal.

1.Very pale in complexion ( as technically they are dead)
2. Ice cold ( as they are dead)
3.can move very quickly basically in the blink of an eye they can be at a distance so far way or near u depending on the circumstance/ situation
4. They don't blink
5 can stay still and in thr same position for hours / long time.
So bcos the above tends to make them stand out they have adjusted their behavior to those of normal himans.
But u d observe Wednesday still portrays some of the above because she doesn't really care if she stands out.
She is not interested in fitting into any standard / recognized clique or social group.
Hence her comments to her mom and also to Enid .

In fact the actress that plays Enid is actually older than the one that plays Wednesday.
