  • Many of you have been asking for a sea water time lapse, and even though I'm living in a landlocked country, I didn't want to disappoint. I made a special trip to Lignano Sabbiadoro just to bring you this unique experience. I even brought back a bottle of sea water! So here it is, a sea water time lapse with a twist of travel adventure. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
    🎵 Music
    The Chills - Timothy Infinite
Lost out There - instrumental version by The Watershed
    Fun Fact:
The ocean is 3.5% salt, and if all the salt in the ocean were spread evenly over the Earth's land surface, it would form a layer more than 150m/500 feet high. That's about as high as a 40 story building.

Fun thing to note is the lack of our most prevalent friend on this channel, fungus. While iirc there are some varieties of fungus that do live in marine habitats, they are in no way extremely prevalent, and in general this video really goes to show the power of salinity to combat microbial life. Very neat.

Driving over 5 hours and through 3 different countries to get to the seaside - wow
30 mins I can be in Blackpool from where I live ha but I suppose we are both lucky we don't have to drive for days to be by the sea like some people have to.

Beautiful, but sad when you think about the life that was there, and now its not.

Next time a recipe calls for sea salt, I now know a "quick" way to make my own. 😂
