Now that he's confirmed he'll be attempting the 100/200m double for the first time @Budapest '23, will be interesting to see what effect the additional 100m rounds will have on his stronger 200m event and if that opens the door a little more for the likes of De Grasse, Kenny B & Knighton?!
He's a consistent sub 19.58 with the start of a snail. Wonder what would happen if he focused exclusively on his start for the next 3 months. That 200m strength is still unmatched, even by Knighton. Amazing speed and form maintenance.
I still choose Usain Bolt either way in my opinion. Because Bolt was Dominating two events (both 100m and 200m events) for almost a Decade, and he was still running fast time in the 200m (Mostly running fast times in races that matters the most (Olympics & World Championships)) at the same time.
@@jimpaul8303 I agree with you with this one👍 Also, Besides Bolt, don’t forget Michael Johnson. Johnson was also Dominating two events (200m and *400m* ) for years and he was still running some pretty good fast times in his career (like running 19.6s, and 19.7s). Plus, Both Bolt and Johnson broke the 200m World Record more than once during their careers. Michael Johnson ran 19.66 WR and then a month later 19.32 WR in Lane 3 with 8 rounds (4 rounds in the 400m & 4 rounds in the 200m) in 1996 And Usain Bolt ran 19.30 WR with 8 rounds (4 rounds in the 100m, breaking his own WR for the second time & 4 rounds in the 200m) in 2008 and then he ran 19.19 WR with 8 rounds (4 rounds in the 100m, breaking his own WR for the third time & 4 rounds in the 200m) in 2009
Assuming they are both at their peak... In a world final? I'd pick Bolt. At any other random race, I'm with Lyles. Lyles has been really consistent this year but Bolt was always dominant at world's.
He has changed from previous years and has pushed himself to another level.
Noah Lyles form is impeccable 🔥
Absolutely 💯
This man is FAST!
Noah has crazy pull almost at the end

5:09 looks like 19.3 sec... Anyone else see that?
Ya...and his whole body is across the line at 19.4 sec
They count from when the leg touches the ground
@@DavidA.21 nope, they count when their torso(chest) past from line
Specially for 200, who will you choose Usain or Noah?
myself in three years

Bolt has the faster times, Lyles is more consistent.

安定感ではボルトをもう超えているかも。
