I am older with a dodgy knee but I love to dance (USED to love to dance...) and somehow this got suggested to me. So THRILLED to see young people still love dance like I used to, I miss it so much and hopefully one day my knee won't be quite so painful and I will try this one out myself, looks like a lot of fun and your demonstration is brilliant and am sure a lot of people got up and tried it! Keep up the good work guys!

could you explain the little hops you do in between the steps? I think you only do the little hops when you’re doing it to music- but during the non-music demonstration, there’s no hop?

By chance i saw first time the wepa steps. After i learned shuffle dance from scratch one year ago, i found easier to learn wepa, since both movements have similarities. Your guys well done

That was really great! I’ve never heard of this dance but it looks like fun. It’s very ‘nose over toes’ and definitely is all about returning to bent knees in order to be ‘ready’ for the next move. That’s the same as doing moguls on the ski hill! Very cool. Thanks for the side views too - really great. Good luck to both of you. Loved the video.

The rhythm of Cumbia always seems more Native American / indigenous vs African. This dance looks indigenous too which is pretty cool.

1:14 called La Resortera. Move invented by an old Mexican Comedian called Resortes..a great comedian and a dancer. Many moves in wepa, sonidera, huaracha y regular cumbia was made famous or invented by Resortes..not saying he made them all. Back in the day the funnier the move and the more technical it was the better.
