Thank you so much for making this. My bucket seat came with no instructions and I didn't know how to install the seat sliders!
I got to the seat install part of the instructions and I was like, I have no idea what I'm doing! then I found this video. This is invaluable Eric! thank you for this. You explained it really well, though of cause I installed the sliders already on the rig before I looked at the seat per the instructions. Still wasn''t too bad. Biggest issue? Dragging two beers before had made following the instructions harder! LOL.
we were really struggling getting our heads around both sets of SimLab instructions, this video hit like an ice cold beer on a warm summer's day. thanks so much!
Thanks for the video on this. It looks like the Simlab GT1 Evo instructions have you mount it all on the rig first and then install the seat. However, your approach seems to be a lot easier especially for a beginner doing this the first time. Looking forward to trying out this method once my seat and seat slider kit arrive!
Amazing video. Rig should be coming in tomorrow and I cannot wait to start putting it all together. Have a great year!
A lot of helpful tips. Thanks.
thanks a lot. helped me to mount my bottom mount seat without headache
Hey here from jed channel hopefully soon i will be looking into getting a setup
THX this the easiest way to mount those things :)
Very well explained. 👍
Thanks!
Thank you for this video!
You rock! Thank you!
thank you for the video, was so useful!
I hope the photo shoot went well!
muchas gracias!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! de verdad, este video me ha ayudado muchisimo
thanks alot for the guide, its the best one i could find on youtube. however, i have to ask why is your seat flexing alot while you are driving, is it not tightened enough ? what is the cause ?
A keen observation! You can also see that the cockpit itself is moving as well. That's from the Sigma Integrale motion system on our demo setup.
how wide can you get that bar? my bucket seat brackets are reverse mounted so that the bottom of the seat can get below the profiles
edit: also, is there any slack in the mechanism?
The width between the long base extrusions is 18.5". Generally it's easier to raise the pedals than to lower the seat. We have extrusion available to raise the pedals higher than the standard configuration. Feel free to send us an email or text through our website for pricing.
The sliders are pretty secure when locked, though there is a very slight bit of play/slack.
U the real mvp, king
You ever had an issue with the brackets on these prisma seats being misaligned? I got my slider on and it’s kinda bent more towards one side. The only thing that looks off to me is one of the brackets seems like maybe a half inch closer to the front of the seat
Yes, this is a good thing to bring up. This is somewhat due to the nature of the NRG molded seats. We designed our seat rail extrusions to be fully adjustable and independent so you can still get everything straight even if the fronts or backs are closer or different side to side.
Why all these tutorials show side mount way, and not base mount. 😮 also you say push down with thumb to get them to slide, but I can't find any part that does this.
The side mount option is popular because it allows for easy seat adjustment for height and angle. Nothing wrong with a bottom mount though!
The part to push down on, as mentioned at 2:30, to get it to slide is the silver latch that the slider bar attached to later.
@RacingCockpits I will order side mount brackets and return the slider. I ill use in fixed position, its only me that uses the rig. I never want to see another seat slider in my life.
