- My son and I hit the mountain reservoir again for some fall bass fishing and everything is biting everything I throw! Ned rigs, drop shots and jerkbaits found a variety of fish including smallmouth, walleye, rock bass and rainbow trout! The conditions were tough considering the limited wind, clear water and high pressure, but the fall fishing was still great and will only get better as the water temps continue to fall.

First, thanks again for the bait yesterday-- and for teaching your kids (and the RUclipsVerse) how to be anglers. Sadly, it was only my second trip there this year-- caught a 4.8 lb walleye in May!-- and I hadn't seen this video first. I never do as well on a JB as you do, and I always thought I wasn't putting it in front of fish that were interested. Plainly that wasn't the case yesterday, but I now see two things that might have helped: first and perhaps most significant, you seem to work it continuously like a topwater walking bait, and I'm using bigger, less frequent jerks; second, using a spinning rod would mean I'll be imparting the action with the hand that's capable of walking a topwater! Thanks again for all that you do.

Great video with some great catches. MD fishing was fun at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and Edgewood Arsenal, as well as the Conawingo Dam for whatever was biting. Now it's smallmouth and walleye on the Susquehanna river in NY.

Loving this series! I am going there on my Yak Nov 11 if you are interested. I live in Clarksburg. PS - consider bringing a pint of mud minnows to keep the young ones engaged with tons of action catching pan fish etc. keep it up.

Tip: Poke the stringer thru the jaw skin (not the gills) and they stay fresh and alive longer.
Sir just wanted to let you know really have been enjoying watching you and your son fishing I mean that's what fishing is all about. Sir it would be cool to see you and your son doing like a catch and cook on the shore like have like a shore lunch. Do you feel the Ned rig catches more species than the drop shot? I've never fished either I want to try one plus I also have a little kid so I was thinking Ed rig would be better for the kid at least? Great video
