    After some research I found that the blanks have to be CAST acrylic in order to be sublimated on. Most of these sold at craft stores are cast acrylic. I assume that the blanks used in this video is cast acrylic hence why it worked so well. If your blanks didn't turn out right after a press you may actually be using extruded acrylic, a less expensive and low quality blank.

      For those who want to know, the residue was terrible frosting from what I believe is the wrong kind of acrylic. It was the cheap one's from Amazon. I had thicker (regular not specifically for sublimation) blanks from another supplier and they took the sublimation beautifully!

Is my temperature on my Easy Press not correct or should I change the length of time I'm heating. I'm also getting some warping as another uses said. I've watch Kristle's video 20 times. She is a good teacher. I'm just wondering if the only way to get a good result is to use a dye sublimation paper instead of the Infusible Ink sheets?

      It sounds like it may have been pressed too long or too hot if you have tape imprints. Also I would look into a different tape as that could be the reason as well.

      Hello there!
      Crystal gets the acrylic blanks from Etsy! 😊 Some blanks may look a little dull however if you add some paint to the back the design will pop!

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 года назад

      You do want to mirror a design for sublimation and apply it to the top side. You paint the opposite side if you choose.

    the acrylic must have a coat of something to can sublimate?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 года назад

      It actually doesn't need that special poly coating. ☺️ You will sometimes get a dull or frosted look depending how hot and how much pressure you have.

    Hey. Design Bundles' video tutorials are the best!! Do you seal your acrylic paint layer with something, or is just fine when it dries?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  2 года назад

      Thank you so much Pamela! We are glad you stopped by to watch with us! We have used uv resin and dishwasher safe mod-podge to seal but it isn't required! The sublimation keychain will last on its own!

      Hello Cortney,
      Sometimes slightly pressing it on the other side will prevent the slight curve. :)
