I actually used Cricut infusible ink on some clear acrylic blanks and they turned out great! I like that you have white ones bc I think the colors would show up better!

If you do white vinyl on the back you can always add glitter to epoxy or uv resin on the white vinyl if worried about it being plain. Or even add another vinyl or waterslide design on the white. Possibilities are endless to jazz up the white

Hii! Thanks for the info! My sublimation keeps coming out "frosty" on the clear acrylic. The print looks good, but the acrylic is frosty/cloudy/patchy on the side that had the paper. I've rinsed in water, I've scrubbed, I've magic erased. Any tips??

Our acrylics don’t have clear plastic :) it has brown protective paper that you will remove to reveal the clear acrylic

Hi any video on car coasters? I'm confuse I order clear decal and I thought they were ready to tranfer to my my keychain? But if they are sublimation clear decal do I have to press the acrylic keychain?

Question about the order on the press. Is it teflon, butcher paper and then teflon again?
After removing the paper on the acrylic does it dull the shine?

I use a second heat press as a heavy weight. (make sure the second press is off)

You would need a sublimation printer. There are videos for converting an epson ecotank to sublimation.

I am trying to sublimate acrylic keychains, am using cast acrylic, my prints comes out well but when scratch with nails the some of the ink comes off, is there a way to protect the print on the acrylic to come off.

Nice work what paper do you uses and I’m having trouble sublimation it looks like it has water stains or sweat mark my press set up to 375f-60 sec but it’s still not working I started out with Teflon sheets only and then I switch to butcher paper only so I’m having trouble still any tips please and thank you
What heat press are you using?
Do you use the same temperature and time for the white acrylic? I did and after wiping off the paper it leaves a funny texture, thought it would be shiny
The white will leave a matte finish :)

I believe it’s adhesive vinyl. So you might want to add it after you sublimate.

Can you use a Cricut Easy Press 2 to do this and if so do you use the same heat settings as a clamshell heat press?
As long as the Easy Press can go up to 385 it should work.
What press are you using im interstead in one
question: I tried this and didn't put anything on the back because I wanted a see-through effect....but after removing the paper, it still leaves a slight residue (clears up when wet, but obviously won't stay wet)...any ideas on how to get this to stop?
Epoxy or UV resin will keep it shiny.

They sell the acrylic blanks on their website. I'm sure they use some industrial machines for cutting the acrylic
How long do you leave it in water for? I have been soaking the acrylic for 5-10 minutes and the paper is still on even when wiping it off. :-(
It varies depending on your pressure, use a magic eraser to help remove it if needed
When placing the adhesive vinyl on how do you get it exact? Are you just very very careful?
You can add some soapy water to the blank before you add the vinyl. It will let you move it around to get it as exact as possible. Then squeegee the water out. OR, remove just a small portion of the vinyl and stick to the blank with parchment paper under the vinyl until you get it placed where you want it, then slowly squeegee the vinyl down as you remove the parchment paper. I hope that makes sense. if you look up adhesive vinyl hacks, you'll find both of these methods on the web.

Do you need teflon if you use the Easy Press and have a heating pad?
Yes the Teflon is simply to protect your press so definitely recommend to protect your easy press

Absolutely!
How did you cut the vinyl for the back. Did you put it an laser cut or did you put on and trim with an exacto or something?
For one of them I just trimmed with an exacto, the others I did with a vinyl cutter (silhouette)
How do you get the picture to sublimate? How do do you know sizing???
the files that come with our acrylics are already sized so if you have a sublimation printer you just print it ready to go :)
if you dont have a sublimation printer you can order a custom sublimation from the website and what you would do is set up several images you want on a 8.5x11 sheet or 12x12 sheet in your software
select print
select save as PDF
and then upload it to the website and we will print it for you!
how did you cut the white vinyl backing out to match the acrylic shapes?
when you purchase from them, they provide the cut file for the blanks. You would need a cutting machine (Cricut, Cameo, Brother, etc) since some are delicate cuts

Is there any paper that you can use regular Inkjet ink? Or does the ink have to be sublimation ink? Thank you!
Has to be sublimation ink. The special properties of the sub ink turns into a gas and dyes the material. Regular printer ink wont do that.

I tried this for the first time this weekend and I cannot figure out how to prevent the tape from leaving impressions on the acrylic. Also sometimes it subs matte and sometimes shiny and sometimes both lol. I can't figure out how to get it to sublimate shiny. Did you encounter these issues? Maybe it is just trial and error...

Can this be done /w clear sticker paper? Can the sticker paper take the heat? If not is there a material this can be done /w which is not sublimation? Tku..
waterslide is an option, no heat needed

That sounds like maybe you are pressing acrylic that is not cast?

Hey Neca I have an answer:
You use the same file you got when you bought your acrylics. When in design space, change the colors, play around with patterns, etc and then print on a printer that you have converted to sublimate with sublimation ink. Then heat press onto your acrylic blank. I am really thinking of doing these!!
How thick is the acrylic that you are using? 3mm, 4mm, 6mm? I am trying to figure the temperature and time for pressing on 1/8" or 3mm.

I did exactly what you said to do on the acrylic, same temp, same amount of time and all it did was melt my acrylic keychains
Make sure you are using cast acrylics only (not extruded) and temperature in Fahrenheit not Celsius :)
How to we open the files as a print and cut or can we open in procreate, how do I get image exact size of acrylic?
You will open the svg in your software for print and cut and it will already be the right size

When ever I use the heat tape on my acrylics, it always indents the acrylics where the tape is so there’s tape lines in it!

Thank you, Just FYI, to avoid the residue on the acrylic< I placed my blank on a piece of paper then the sublimate image on top then just tape the image to the piece of paper and press, tape does not touch the blank.
