Probably more of the same. People are usually uncomfortable with change. They don’t wanna have to change their pre existing beliefs even though they see what Steph is doing with their own eyes. I do agree with perk that you have to take into account the impact on the game that Steph has. I don’t think Mount Rushmore has to be all about ranking because significance and impact are notable too. Like you can’t even say that Lebron is the undisputed defining player of this generation. You got plenty of people, players and regular hoopers alike, trying to be like Curry in terms of shooting. What is this generation known for? Shooting a lot more threes right? Well guess who spear headed that movement: Steph Curry. The man even extended the defense to where they have to start guarding him from half court which is CRAZY when you think about it. Think about this. There are key components or fundamentals to the game: rebounding, defense, shooting, passing, finishing, dribbling, IQ, etc. No one is considered the undisputed greatest at any of those components except Steph Curry: the greatest shooter of all time. And shooting is one of the crucial components in terms of putting the ball in the hoop. That’s HUGE. That is saying something and should not be taken lightly. In addition to being the greatest shooter of all time, he has the hardware to back up his elite status. So no, it is not utterly ridiculous for Perk to have him of his Mt. Rushmore.

If Curry does that hes passing Kobe, Shaq, Duncan on my list and will be #5 all time
      Jordan
      Lebron
      Kareem
      Magic
Curry (if he gets 5 rings, 2 finals MvPs, 2 Regular season MvPs)
      Duncan
      Shaq
      Kobe
      Bird
      Hakeem
      Durrant (11)
this is the modern era top 10 (1979-Current, creation of the 3pt shot, expansion of teams)
Bill, Wilt, Cousey, petit, Mikan, Oscar etc etc are in my "golden Era top 10" because they played under such different rules, virtually no integration, no 3pt shot, 8 teams in the league..., rudementary offenses etc etc the game was too different to have them on lists with Jordan, Magic and Bron.
and if Curry wins 6 championships, with 3 FMvPs, 2 Regular season MvPs... hes passing Lebron for #2 all time.

@C false until Bull Russell 8th season is when the NBA allowed more than 4 black players on a NBA team therefore the fact ur staying false narratives proves my point even further because the league was segregated making it weaker. In this 8th season of Bull Russell career there was 8 other teams he was going against with it being common sense it’s easier for a dynasty to win. I don’t agree but could see where you come from by saying the three point line doesn’t equal better basketball I just use the time frame of when the point line got placed to correlate where actual competition began to develop. SF - Larry Bird, Lebron, KD, Giannis
PF - Tim Duncan, KG, Draymond, Rodman
C - Hakeem, Bill Russell, KAJ, Shaq

Curry and the Warriors have roadblocked more than 10% of the NBA Top 75 from having one or additional titles. I know there's some recency bias considering it's the day after the Finals ended but the list of players include James Harden, Westbrook, Durant, Anthony Davis, Chris Paul, Lebron James, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, basically every current active NBA Top 75 player except Giannis and Carmelo. In Melo's case the Rockets roadblocked him from getting a chance to get roadblocked by the Warriors lol. Anyways I think that has to count for something. People who criticize Curry's defense don't realize two points, he's a good defender, not as good as the other top 10 players but his defense is underrated and people are starting to realize it now, the other point is, putting Looney, Draymond and GPII at the same time in court is a luxury that only GSW can, three great defenders, but even just two of them at the same time would generate space problems, Curry's disruptive offense gives them the opportunity to score even if sometimes Curry is not the one getting the assists, just the chaos of the constantly moving offense system opens up space, so Curry makes the GSW defense better by allowing more than one non-shooter, but great defender, to be on the court at the same time.
