King Bradley's only superpower was Enhanced Perception. He could see fast. THAT'S IT. If anything, bradley is proof that just a basic, innocuous superpower, if you put enough time and effort into bringing out its strength, can be Broken AF.
and there is even those theories that this "sharingan" eye of his was just a passive ability that wrath was supposed to have, you know similar to how gluttony has an amazing sense of smell? Because its implied that the other homunculus power's require them to burn through their philosopher's stones power, and Wrath kinda didnt had one (well, he had it, but it only had 1 soul) imagine how overpowered this man would be if father gave him another stone? Regeneration + Coming back to his prime + an actual body changing ability (like greed's hardening or envy's shapeshifting) on top of his passive ability
I mean, he did have a body that was still superior to most humans. In his human life, he was trained to the absolute PEAK for his future role. He was then imbued with a Philosopher’s Stone, managing to survive the internal war of every soul in said Stone DESTROYING EACH OTHER IN BOTTOMLESS RAGE. While he can’t regenerate…he’s still beyond human
Man's was really about to throw hands at a funeral cuz a kid was crying. The definition of " This hands are rated E - for everyone , everything, everybody and ever country." He was really the uncle ruckus of full metal alchemist.
Weird thing is that these bad guy characters are normally sneaky and snarky insulting characters that delight in suffering. Bradley is painfully straightforward at everything in a fight. He's charging straight at you, he normally just makes a little small talk in fights over actual facts, and he wants to go straight for kills. He also always drops the smiling eyes closed trope everytime anything gets even slightly serious. Guy ain't playing a character when it's time to fight.
Rest In Peace Ed Blaylock, voice of President Fuhrer King Bradley, Sebas Tian and Fleet Admiral Sengoku. One of the absolute best performances in all of anime he had a truly unique quality of voice. His talent really made Bradley's character shine.
I love how on paper, King Bradley is the weakest homunculus. He lacks the regenerative immortality that is standard of the other homunculus, and while his ability is broken, it is heavily dependent on personal skill. Pride can weaponize literal darkness, Lust has razor-sharp claws and her intelligence, Envy is a shape-shifting tank, Greed is temporarily bullet-proof, and Sloth is a tank with the speed of a bullet-train (if motivated). In spite of that, nearly all the Homunculus respect him.
It's your second statement that does it, I saw one of the comment that did FMA confirmed that if Bradley was revealed in his prime, he would beat everyone's ass even before the coup At some point they might have seen his fighting ability and skill and got impressed by the fact even without the Immortal regeneration ability he can still fight very skillfully and with great speeds, even though he ages its slow compared to normal humans.
Yup, it just shows how incredible in skill Bradley is when he’s only second to Pride/Selim (who is confirmed to be the strongest) in terms of how powerful he is among the seven.
@@deathplumpcake8384 If Gluttony (and likewise Sloth) had the same level of intelligence as the other homunculi, then yes, he’d definitely be a even more significant threat.
it was confirmed that Bradley is able to achieve these crazy feats because he fully exhausted his stone. from the beginning of the experiment til his later years, he unalived every soul in the stone until he was the only one left. bro got the ultimate zenkai boost.
I thought he only had a single soul in his philosopher stone and the reason he survived getting drilled in the face by Greed was because that soul saved him
I feel like King Bradley is the example I seen one story explain on how dangerous the one character without healing powers in a team of badass immortals/mutants is so dangerous. All the others let themselves get hurt or do the occasional stupid ass move to scare anyone. Someone like Bradley can’t play around and act crazy like the immortals/healers so he ends up being crazy to the others because of how skilled he is to everyone else.
Exactly. There’s always something absurdly cool about how the most, for lack of a better term, _vulnerable_ character who compared to others would normally be considered weak, but because of that so-called lack of invulnerability or healing powers, they _don’t_ screw around. Kinda like Batman or Guts and other countless characters: it’s primarily skill that gets them far rather than powers.
And yet, even tho dude has sharingan, he let the big ahh noticeable as f dude run at him with a sword and stab through a corpse to get him which led to him dying, not to mention the countless times he just has his arms down and lets people charge him like he’s untouchable. So much for not fing around, lol
What I love about Bradley’s last words towards Lan Fan is that he’s actually screwing with her emotions. Lan Fan asked King if he had any last words for his wife, and he didn’t. There are no more words that need pass between them because his wife would understand. That being married, to be the wife of the Fuhrer would mean that you have a solid chance of never being there when your husband dies on a battlefield or murdered in his sleep, and there would be no last words to have from him. The real kicker to this is that he’s aware that Lan Fan has a thing for Ling, the prince, and she has to acknowledge the fact that even if Ling becomes the next ruler, that doesn’t mean people will stop trying to kill him; that there’s a good chance that Ling may get killed someday, and Lan Fan won’t be around to hear his last words.
Even more than that, he's kicking her in the emotions, because being "the wife of a ruler" is something she clearly wants with Ling, but because of her oaths can never have. She knows very well the power, privilege, and honor inherent in being the wife of the leader, because it's something she will never be able to experience for herself.
@@cheesypower3282 Not to mention he pretty much mocked the fact he killed her grandfather and closest family before robbing her chance of revenge by keeping her talking until he could die in peace. Man destroyed her entire attempt at revenge on his deathbed and humiliated her entire character in one stroke. Now that's a character.
The fact that he got enraged at towards Hughes child is the absolute definition of wrath itself... He's living up to his name exactly how he was created
What makes this more impressive is that Bradley is a regular human, just with a sharingan in his left eye, and he just trained to get that good since he doesn't age the same
Oh that's the disturbing part, he DOES age, he's just that good even when he's in his 50's. In fact, as multiple people in the comments have said, the creator outright said that if he was still in his prime, the main characters would've been slaughtered.
@@darrylferguson3622 Pretty sure the mangaka confirmed that if Bradley was in his prime, our main characters would have lost way before they even started the coup de tat.
bradley had no healing, could age, wasnt in his prime and had no insane super power except for an eye that can see weakspots. and he had to keep covering it up. This man is a threat because of pure skill. He took so much damage, stared down the strongest alchemists he knew and asked whos next.
Not exactly. His strength comes from WHY he lost the ability to regenerate. The philosopher's stone contains hundreds of souls, which the homonculi use both to fuel their powers and to tap into as their extra lives. Bradley came from a special experiment where instead of building a homonculus from the stone, they shove it into a human to see what happens. Everyone else went mad except for Bradley. His solution? Fight and kill EVERY soul inside the stone until only the strongest one survives. He used the damn stone as a training course.
@korsekil thats a cool way but it might not be bradley himself. It's because the stone was literally wrath. All the souls in it were basically on raging steroids x1000. So when they were let loose on Bradley's body, they started killing each other off in an enraged frenzy and Bradley's soul also fought for survival. In the end we don't know if Bradley is actually Bradley or just one of the souls in the philoplsophers stone that took over and got his memories. He even says himself that he doesn't know which one he is. But that he is only the Wrath. He can't regenerate because his stone is only one soul, so no spare souls/energy to use for regeneration.
Official Petition for CJ to grant Mustang his official Black Air Forces. He's displayed his warrant for deserving them time and again, especially after bringing the fires of justice against Envy.
The interesting thing about Bradley's death. The man took out a tank, fought Greed, Captain Buccaneer, and a Old Ninja, And Scar. And Died because he was blinded by what some people called Divine Intervention by parting the clouds and letting the Sun Blind him letting scar have an Opening to deal a lethal blow. He quite literally needed divine Intervention to kill this man. And he was using an empty Philosopher stone. Also like all the Homunculi he died Ironically. Wrath died at peace.
@@Fruad_jo Roy wasn't a womaniser. Her death was less ironic as it was the first death, a twin irony of being killed by a man and when she died she didn't "lust" for his defeat, she calmly accepted he beat her.
Conically pride is the strongest homunculus, he's a giant, immortal shadow monster that, in the right circumstances, could one shot a city. And off all the things you might expect Father to have his strongest homunculus doing, as he weaves he great conspiracy to devour god, the thing he considers to be the best use of Pride's time is spying on King Bradley to make sure he stays loyal. King Bradley is him because when you see a guy take down a tank by himself like it was nothing, you know you need put down your weapon, walk away, and give up while you still can.
Fun fact: pirates often wore eye patches not because they lost an eye, but so that they always had one eye adjusted to the dark. Bradley is no doubt wearing it for the same reason, he took it off in the sewer and after getting flashed.

I just recently noticed, the BAF1 roundtable is actually contained of the seven deadly sins of Black Air Force Energy. Kid Buu is Gluttony, Madara Uchiha is Envy, Alucard is Greed, Kenpachi Zaraki is Sloth, King Bradley is Wrath, Revy is Lust, and Sosuke Aizen is Pride. Everybody else in the roundtable is a variation of them. Edit: Since a lot of people liked this, I wanna ask, what do you think CJ's next video shall be? I'm thinking of "Yami and the Black Air Force Bulls" 'cause they be packing the heat!
11:02 Interesting fact. The philosopher stone of wrath when injected into Bradley, all the souls in the stone all killed each other and Bradley was the sole survivor but he doesnt even know if he was the original Bradley or just one of the souls. Its also the reason he can age and can't regenerate like the others, because his stone basically has no more power. He gets a few boosts but his stone is basically drained. Which I thinks thats why so many died during the Wrath Experiment, the stone literally killed them. Which would mean wraths stone is the most dangerous to absorb and Greeds would be the safest since Greed would want more people around instead of killing his host.
@TheGameMage_ sad thing is that if he had a fully changed stone, he would probably die earlier like after the human transmutation of mustang Because pride would wanna recharge and while pride would be pretty weak die to the transmutation, father is there and we all know pride the fav child like he even looks like flask father
i dont remember it ever stating the souls of his stone cannibalized eachother but what i do recall is that they were trying to overwhelm him because the souls within were basically those of his peers and colleagues an were trying to have him succumb to fear but he wouldnt let that stand and so he pierced the veil using the wrath that filled his heart on the account of being considered a disposable pawn and guinea pig to the government hence why father names him as his "Wrath" an gives him the homunculus brand. an as for his stone not being powered as strongly as the others its because his philosopher stone is incomplete an was only conceived of a few handful of souls where as those of the others were comprised of entire cities or towns worth of souls so they are naturally more potent. but what Bradley lacks in regenerative properties he more than makes up for with strength and agility and has trained himself to be adept as well as precise with the blade. not too mention he's maxed out on his resilience taking lots of damage that should normally kill an average person. an only losing to Scar because he wanted to die as a human an not a monster.
16:27 I think this is my favorite quote from Wrath in all the series. Imagine being such a menace that you deal with a rebellious take-over of your HQ with the same tone as a disappointed father coming home earlier to find his kids having a party behing his back... the one where he knows his foot is about to end in some disrespectful brat(s) ass(es) !!
Fighting Bradley in one of the FullMetal Alchemist games will always haunt me. Everyone else was essentially just a normal fight, but then you get to Bradley and he might as well be a God the way he smites you and any hope you have of winning.
I think the reason why so many people loved Omni man so much is because...besides the look, he has the same energy as this man right here. Both are highly charaismatic and seem like overall wise old men...but are both overwhelming messed in the head and are genuinely fucking terrifying
Before the show revealed Bradley was the Wrath Homunculus, my theory was that he was the Time Alchemist. 1.) He moved so fast that I thought he could stop time, slice up people & restart it giving the illusion he’s super fast. 2.) He kept ranting about aging & getting old so it would fit the theme of a time alchemist as much as a homunculus.
Sounds cool BUT even the most powerful alchemy we have seen are still based on the « changing matter into another matter » ability.Time is not really something you could touch and rearrange on a molecular level lol
@@Kaito57 I was still going off on equivalent exchange. So I thought that if there’s a time alchemist that can stop time, although time has stopped for everyone & everything, they still age in the frozen timeframe. I’m a way stopping time for a second is giving a second of your lifetime. Therefore a time alchemist would look like a rapidly aging person if they used & abused there power.
I remember the first time I watched Fullmetal alchemist, and I was always wondering why the hell is Bradley showing up every time I don’t know where to get into trouble in their search for the philosopher, stone. And as a kid, I had started to put the pieces together, but didn’t have the experience to understand the depth of how absolutely cold Bradley is until the end. And now as an adult, I can truly appreciate just how much a monster Bradley truly is.
In the manga, I remember the story lulling you into even more of false sense of security. Bradley came across as more of a cooky old man with possibly something more going on. And that something more was well...😬😬
King Bradley/Wrath is one of my favorite characters in general across all media so this was an absolute treat, CJ. I loved the southern-ish accent you gave too. It really does fit because, here in the south, people will talk to you and sound all nice and friendly but there could be a 'WHOLE' different meaning behind their words. It fits perfectly with Wrath. Also, I held it together through the entire video up until the last 15 seconds with the black air forces over where his arms used to be and then I lost it. Been laughing the past ten minutes. Kudos, CJ. Kudos.
Something I noticed whilst watching the video, At 3:00 when Edward is about to hit Bradley with the spear, You can see that Bradleys sword is currently sheathed but in the very next scene. His sword is unsheathed and he is holding it in his hand meaning that he drew his blade so fast that Edward wasnt even able to see him draw his blade and likely didnt even know he did until it was too late
Let’s just take a moment and realize that Cj is literally trending #1 on RUclips. NUMBER 1 IN RUclips!!!!! Top quality like always, Bradley was the ultimate menace what a total chad. With these writing and voicing chops I'm surprised that CJ doesn't have an abridged show running.
16:33, I like how CJ has covered characters that can do way more than deflect bullets and take out a tank, but the way Bradley hides his true nature and the full extent of his capabilities from the rest of the cast until now makes a relatively simple feat compared to others in the Round Table far more effective and terrifying.

It's the Southern accent combined with the Stinkmeaner mannerisms that make this video top tier. Also the fact that whenever you voice these characters it never feelings off or forced, in another universe they could sound that way.

King Bradley's only superpower was Enhanced Perception. He could see fast.
THAT'S IT.
If anything, bradley is proof that just a basic, innocuous superpower, if you put enough time and effort into bringing out its strength, can be Broken AF.
He had a whole sharingan
and there is even those theories that this "sharingan" eye of his was just a passive ability that wrath was supposed to have, you know similar to how gluttony has an amazing sense of smell? Because its implied that the other homunculus power's require them to burn through their philosopher's stones power, and Wrath kinda didnt had one (well, he had it, but it only had 1 soul)
imagine how overpowered this man would be if father gave him another stone? Regeneration + Coming back to his prime + an actual body changing ability (like greed's hardening or envy's shapeshifting) on top of his passive ability
I mean, he did have a body that was still superior to most humans. In his human life, he was trained to the absolute PEAK for his future role. He was then imbued with a Philosopher’s Stone, managing to survive the internal war of every soul in said Stone DESTROYING EACH OTHER IN BOTTOMLESS RAGE. While he can’t regenerate…he’s still beyond human

Gin Ichimaru (from Bleach) says hi.
Yamamoto from bleach. And somewhat sebas, cuz he tends to do that
Most disturbing example for me was that crazy ass PE teacher from Assassination Classroom. Dude legit traumatized me a little.
Brock from pokemon would agree 😂😂
Jose in Fairy Tail too 👏🏿
I love how on paper, King Bradley is the weakest homunculus.
It's your second statement that does it, I saw one of the comment that did FMA confirmed that if Bradley was revealed in his prime, he would beat everyone's ass even before the coup
At some point they might have seen his fighting ability and skill and got impressed by the fact even without the Immortal regeneration ability he can still fight very skillfully and with great speeds, even though he ages its slow compared to normal humans.
Yup, it just shows how incredible in skill Bradley is when he’s only second to Pride/Selim (who is confirmed to be the strongest) in terms of how powerful he is among the seven.

Also, goes great with his sin : he straight-up slaughters his opponents like an enraged beast, going LITERALY for the throat first !
And yet, even tho dude has sharingan, he let the big ahh noticeable as f dude run at him with a sword and stab through a corpse to get him which led to him dying, not to mention the countless times he just has his arms down and lets people charge him like he’s untouchable. So much for not fing around, lol
@@yminkai true. tho that could be a result of his hubris. not thinking he's immortal or invulnerable.
Well, "no powers" besides the standard anime/manga powerboost.
@@cheesypower3282 Not to mention he pretty much mocked the fact he killed her grandfather and closest family before robbing her chance of revenge by keeping her talking until he could die in peace. bradley had no healing, could age, wasnt in his prime and had no insane super power except for an eye that can see weakspots. and he had to keep covering it up. This man is a threat because of pure skill. He took so much damage, stared down the strongest alchemists he knew and asked whos next.

@@rigtymord7215 it sees every weakspot, not the future
King Bradley is so powerful because he can’t regenerate, so he has to actually think tactically instead of just attacking all out
Yup his battle prowess and precision was scary
Not exactly. His strength comes from WHY he lost the ability to regenerate. The philosopher's stone contains hundreds of souls, which the homonculi use both to fuel their powers and to tap into as their extra lives. Bradley came from a special experiment where instead of building a homonculus from the stone, they shove it into a human to see what happens. Everyone else went mad except for Bradley. His solution? Fight and kill EVERY soul inside the stone until only the strongest one survives. He used the damn stone as a training course.
@@korsekilmans is a demon fr wtf 😭

@korsekil thats a cool way but it might not be bradley himself. It's because the stone was literally wrath. All the souls in it were basically on raging steroids x1000. Interesting fact.
Which would mean wraths stone is the most dangerous to absorb and Greeds would be the safest since Greed would want more people around instead of killing his host.

i dont remember it ever stating the souls of his stone cannibalized eachother but what i do recall is that they were trying to overwhelm him because the souls within were basically those of his peers and colleagues an were trying to have him succumb to fear but he wouldnt let that stand and so he pierced the veil using the wrath that filled his heart on the account of being considered a disposable pawn and guinea pig to the government hence why father names him as his "Wrath" an gives him the homunculus brand.
an as for his stone not being powered as strongly as the others its because his philosopher stone is incomplete an was only conceived of a few handful of souls where as those of the others were comprised of entire cities or towns worth of souls so they are naturally more potent. but what Bradley lacks in regenerative properties he more than makes up for with strength and agility and has trained himself to be adept as well as precise with the blade. not too mention he's maxed out on his resilience taking lots of damage that should normally kill an average person. an only losing to Scar because he wanted to die as a human an not a monster.
16:27 I think this is my favorite quote from Wrath in all the series. Bro voicing Bradley as Uncle Ruckus/Stinkmeaner the entire time is so accurate for some reason 🤣😅. Its like Uncle Ruckus living out his greatest dreams.
Bradley is who Uncle Ruckus wanted to be. A crazy tyrannical white man.
FMA B is such a good anime. Full of great characters with so many sick scenes. Love that part with Bradley just casually walking up the gateway.
Also love when Greed goes back down to fuck up the Military.
I swear CJ, I was binging FMAB and wanted to tell you to do a King Bradley episode. Whether as Pride in 03 or Wrath in 09, man was a menace and a beast with nothing but work for anybody wanting a taste.
The way he kills Marta in 03 was so disrespectful, he ain't give a chance to do nothing but get a few words out before he slid that blade in Al. Then he just smiles and asks Al if he's ok and thanks him for his help😭😭 straight heartlessness.
"I've been waiting for this day" gets me every time.
"Do they expect me to make a mockery of myself by entering through the back door of my own palace?" -my favorite quote from King Bradley
“Salute thy nigga! Kinguhhh Bradley !”
When he comes back to take Central after the rebels victory, my mouth dropped open. Oh schtick that was one of the best parts on FMAB
CJ THANK YOU!!!
The fact you take time to do videos of actual quality is different from all the crap being forced down our throats daily.
Bradley's just one of the best villains of all time. Full stop,
I definitely need to rewatch Brotherhood, that was one of the greatest series I ever watched
