Ok, you addressed something I'm looking for an answer to - you said you dilute it w/water in a spray bottle - my question is, do you leave it in the spray bottle until the next use, and, if so, does it ruin/cause the spray to stop working? I'd like to try this, but many cleaners - like bleach - will result in the spray mechanism to stop working.
It is, allot of animal shelters and veterinary clinics use pine sol to clean with. Even if needing to use full strength, you still go back over and rinse per instructions on the back of the bottle. If mixing with water there is no need to rinse. You also probably don’t have your dogs walk on your floors as they are wet or drying, by the time they walk on it, it will be dry for them and nothing gets on their paws. The reason behind using pine sol is because it’s amazing at getting pee smells out. Not just getting the smell out, but actually getting rid of any ammonia left from pee. (This goes for humans as well and why it works so well on cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing almost anything.) getting the ammonia out helps to have less accidents or from peeing in the same spots. The animals won’t smell it anymore and therefore stop peeing/marking in that area. So as long as the floor/area pet is in is completely dry there should be no harm. If by chance they somehow step in cleaner of any kind, wipe their paws immediately and give them a good paw bath!!
I use the lavender pine sol instead of laundry detergent and it works wonders! Clothes smell so good for days and are very clean.
