- Street vendors in unincorporated Clark County are seemingly less visible than usual as rules to regulate them go into effect. Clark County Commissioners approved their own set of rules in mid-April. Each jurisdiction in Clark and Washoe Counties is required to do so following the 2023 passage of Senate Bill 92.
Leave to the PEOPLE the power to DECIDE if it’s worth the risk of buying food outside or not. The more we involve the government more it gets messy and corrupted.
Got back to Cali. We don't want it.
They had a WHOLE YEAR to adjust to this law. Don't give me crocodile tears now.
Cooking food in the sidewalk and selling to the public is a health problem. You have emissions from semi trucks people spitting on the floor no wash sinks with hot water etc. I know you need to make a living but this is just unsanitary. Who do you sue if you get food poisoning. Will they have insurance for their street food business? I mean this is so wrong on all levels.
Then don’t eat it. Other countries in the world have food stands like that. Singapore, Tokyo. And they’re not poor.
I have heard stories that people even prepares food in their bath tub
Not for starving mouths
@@garynewman6281 a dead eyed drone like you doesn’t have a valid opinion.
Deport.
What about the legitimate business who follow the rules ? Street vendors are 3rd world !
But haven't you notice, we've become a 3rd world country, and the 3rd world corruption as well.
They keep bloking sidewalks , not cool!!
FINALLY some regulations!! It’s been long overdue Clark county!
rules and regulations are only as good as the county's ability to enforce said rules. the health departments are always under staffed/funded.
how about food safety, cart cooler temps, where is food prepared? we are on the way to being Mexico. Salmonella city
too bad for you were heading that way. all we need is to pay those licenses and we’re good. gov.lombardo says its ok to sell stuff on the streets as long as we follow the rules.
@@szhinkoszhinko5006 yeah right, lots of safety rules and no money to Enforce. im sure the good folks just trying to make a living will fallow all the safe food handling rules.
Oh No expecting people to follow the law is too much...😅😅😅😅
Do the vendors know how much brick and mortar restaurants pay to stay in business ?
They don't care.
@@chinaarlene7035 ever go to T.J. Mexico they don't care, its over for our country, who would have thought years ago that this would happen,
The government doesn't care about people's health they care about getting their cut of the money, I'm sure the casinos are responsible for this legislation.
Yea everyone has rules and regulations when employed
Boo hoo
Rules, regulations, standards, licenses? Much too difficult it’s easier to do whatever you want and pay no taxes
No paying taxes ? That is failing the community.
Yea we can do whatever we want. I thought we lived in a free country!

Crime it’s fantastic!
Everyone should just sell out of a pop up tent. Why bother having buildings 🙄
@@lobo0122002 there’s a lot of tents and buildings around the world.. do you live under a rock?? Yea like sure you’ve never done crime before. You either smoked weed or drink and drive …???
Support street vendors not fast food
…pass it on
I won't eat from a street vendor unless it has been inspected.
Don’t worry about it. Just get back to work and pay your taxes
whos going to do the inspection?
The best tacos are from tacobell
Theres no discrimination here. These are the same rules everyone else has to follow plus it protects public health and safety. Food poisining, falling into traffic, loud noise after dark can and should be dealt with swiftly.
No one didn’t protect when Covid came ?????
I don’t care about Bertin’s culture Las Vegas doesn’t need to be more like Tijuana .
He had six years to get all the appropriate licenses. All of us legal workers are struggling too because of this horrible inflation. That doesn’t mean we can do illegal work to pay the bills.
oh thank god... get those nasty food stands away.
Amazes me how defiant he was to say he will continue to run business. They pay no floor, meaning no rent. They can easily come up with the money they are required to pay in order to be in line with other businesses.
No gloves at all on any of those serving food! 1:11
Tune in next week as we examine new rules to limit cosmetic surgeries...
He’s been here 6 years and still doesn’t speak English??
Why bother, seems like Spanish is spoken in every bussines around the city
Who cares what language he speaks. He is just a valuable as any other person in this world , doesn’t matter what language he speaks !!!
I’m not Hispanic but I stand against micro aggression !!! I stand for KINDNESS !!❤❤

Well about your religion, ? people are free to believe or not to believe, we can not impossed our religion onto others.
But true it is that , we do need love in this world
It's only legal as long as the government can get some money out of it.
Price out
1,500$ is one month of rent...
Its like paying 13 months of rent..
Can't afford $1500 but can afford to charge $10 a hot dog🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼
😂😂😂
Facts 😂
Escudes to not pay for license
I got street vendor tacos yesterday with guacamole and it was one of the best!
Good portions as well
You’re really rolling the dice when you eat that stuff!
@@gasmith7486 thank you, but my gut told me it was a risk worth taking, so I trusted it and it didn't let me down. I would have to say that you're really rolling the dice with some licensed places even with "A" grades. I've worked at upscale restaurants where I've witnessed cooks sneezing in food or haulk luggies on the floor when nobody sees it.
@@gasmith7486 found the razist 🙄
@@gasmith7486 Thank you. You're absolutely right! I went back to the same place for the same item on a different day, and I would've got bad food poisoning if I didn't spit my food out. They didn't fully cook the meat, so there was some raw meat mixed in with my taco and the smell made me nauseous! I will never go to another street vendor in a long time!
You guys don’t know how to use a tape measurer
Sue the city of you get sick after eating at one because the vender won't have money
Money Money Money...😂...
Just pay the fees and get your licenses like everyone else has to do. These are the breaks, stop breaking the law. Tired of this crying over not being able to set up a tent and sell unregulated food.
Get a real job that it
Yeah i guess making food isnt a real fucking job
🤣😂 my goodness. Robierroberts please stop and get back to work and pay your taxes like a good American slave

As a previous owner of a food truck in Clark County who is concerned about the updated regulations, witnessing the numerous obstacles that food trucks must overcome to operate within the legal framework would undoubtedly eliminate any sympathy one might have for these individuals.
Good portion food I like those places.
They should move to NY where vendors can do anything even sell stolen products. Follow the rules or get a regular job.
see many use golf carts on the street whats with this?
Setup a booth selling Trump shirts and see how fast youll get shut down..... And HUGE FINES.
So let's do it then
It probably only applies to food vendors so you'll have to sell some kind of food
There’s a man selling a Trump towel at a makeshift shop near Sahara and Nellis. He hasn’t been shut down so I guess that counts ❤

Everyone pays those fees plus rent. 💯 Agree with it.
Stop complaining your lucky every legit RESTAURANT don't have THEIR FOOD Carts, trucks on the street ( please MCDONALD'S try this!!)
We must pay taxes, these war's aren't going to fund themselves lol
Well, they can always go set up shop in California if things get to tuff here…

Welcome to the JUnited States of America!
I thought this was the land of the free ?????? No not more ? It’s false advertisement 🤣
Most of them don't have handsinks....and if it does they hardly use it since they have to carry more water. Dirty fingers...dirty food....PERIOD!!
I GOT THE SQUIRTS FROM BERTINs CART STREET CORN CAME OUT MIXED WITH TURD JUICE
Everybody else has to follow the rules especially when it comes to kitchens. Why would they get a pass? Everybody else needs insurance and a business license. Why do they get a pass?
Clark County and Las Vegas needs to keep it clean, make sure we don't turn into LA, or Mexico.
This isn't a 3rd world country
False news, I just drove past 20 venders or more with no exaggeration fracturing every rule/law you just explained!! 😂 they had no fear and un-molested by law enforcement. They come out after 5pm when Health department and police don’t care 🤷🏽♂️
true, true, i have on 2 occasions reported to the city of north las vegas a guy with a golf cart heaped high with food to sell, umbrella too. never a peep from the city.
Im just sad that some vendors dont take pride in the quality of the food they just want the money. Im a cook and all these stands that dont care about quality and safety are making us all pay.
They will just go back to being half a block down from a school/park on the corner in front of someones house.
Not in front of mine!!
They need to stay in commercial areas , not residential!!
Maybe they should have people in the streets giving these vendors safety food flyers classes just like they have people going to homeless camps giving out syringes and meth pipes
Who made the requirements to stay away from parks and schools?
I personally don’t buy from street vendors but I see kids line up to buy from them all the time.
Seems like the rules were written up by someone in a comfy government job with no idea of how the city actually works.
A simple meal at McDonalds can easily cost $15 dollars. Street vendors seem like a good option for low income kids or adults.
Plus most of the vendors set up shop in low income parts of the city anyways.
They sell nothing but unhealthy food.
Cup of corn with mayo, cheese, & butter which you know they use the cheapest ingredients to save money
To protect children!!
And cheap? I do not know about that
So you are saying that because they are low income it's ok to feed them unregulated food quality ?
@@libreverdaderamente4450you don’t protect children so please stop and get back to work and pay your taxes like a good American slave

😊😊😊😊😊😊
EITHER FOLLOW THE RULES ESTABLISHED OR GET A "REAL" JOB. LAS VEGAS IS NOT EAST LOS ANGELES.
Sinless City has always been a conservative city, becoming more conservate as conservative Californians arrive.
EXACTLY RIGHT
I am sorry, but if they make money and don’t pay taxes on earning, then they need to pay for a license.
They can get it done.
