- Dozens of illegal vendors have set up shop selling merchandise, food and even alcohol in direct competition with licensed merchants along San Francisco's waterfront. Da Lin reports. (5-30-21)
If you want to report on “illegal” activities, maybe you should report on the public injections and the needles that’s left on the streets and BART seats , those are the real public safety issues
Drug dealing ok.
Yeah those underaged kids need to stop buying alcohol at the wharf. Just go down to the tenderloin and get all the narcotics you want. Tax free, I might add.
Illegal vendors are not the problem.
This is hilarious, why pay rent again? Just set up a tent. Take it to the landlord. I call it de-regulation
Made my day eating a $6 bacon hotdog instead waiting to eat at restaurants and spend over $100 for a family of 5
Food vendors have been selling hotdogs long before the pandemic.
I’m going over there for a Cocktail and some Gucci flip flops
CA wanted to penalize legitimate business but will not enforce laws for these street vendors.
SF is deteriorating...by the lack of tackling the real crimes going on.
If they are taking 60% of your sales, it is time to step up your game.
Let the stores become street vendors. Best way to combat high rent is to leave the high rent stores vacant. The greedy landlords can then lower rent or starve.
No business license means it’s all probably an all cash businesses. In short, no taxes collected for the city. While regular business owners are paying out taxes, fees, health care for employees, higher rent, etc.
Lemme get this straight, these vendors are breaking multiple laws despite knowing that what they are doing is against the law and they've received warnings for yet they want to pass another regulation AKA law thinking they won't ignore that one? That's literally insane lol
honestly this looks hella fun lol.
Without consequences, public lawlessness will continue and increase.
The dude said beer like he was whispering it onto my ear, stop the truck
Selective crime enforcement I see....
Make permits and licenses available to them and a mobile wash station, seems like enough people are ok with the vendors there
Food poisoning, here we come ..... law suits galore.. refrigeration? Employees not washing their hands and where are the toilets??? Would not eat that food if they gave it to me. A good case of food poisoning will have it coming out both ends, in a hurry.
