That's not a pod for $700 a month, it's more like a coffin it should be a violation for that landowner to side hustle for that kind of money.

@@Y2Kr4SHM4N It is the past, the "pods", which used to be known as co-living and co-working spaces have been around since the mid-90s. I lived in one in 2001 when working on a contract in SF. They aren't anything new at all, and used to be VERY popular with tech workers, this is just a rebound. You get better privacy now, they used to be in large SF homes that were overhauled, would have bunk beds, 3 high in bedrooms, like 15 people per room, with co-office space in a different area. The Pods are just more "professional" i guess

While I think it is a clever idea, no one should have to be in a space like this because you live in a State that does not address the constant rise of renting property.
This has been going on for decades and has contributed to some of the current problems. Someone needs to do something about the high cost; there doesn't seem to be a limit as to how high the price of renting will be and now you see it happening in other states as well.

Demand will drive prices up. So you have to cut the demand. Simply, there has to be less people. Since there is more and more people every day, there will be less food and less space. Demand for those goes up. Prices goes up. So if you want goverment to fix this, they have to limit the amount of children that are allowed per family.

i think this is neccessary. there should be multiple options ( i.e. an option the same size, but with space for a desk). it's not for everyone, but as long as proper hygiene and quality is upheld, what this will do is create competition. forcing all the luxury apartments to lower prices or lose customers to minimal options. i don't think there should be rent control from the government. we should introduce alternate/cheaper options and force them (via competition) to lower prices, or make sure the price is worth every penny. If this started up all around the country, house and apartment prices would drop inorder to stay relevant.
