Jeez, it was a bit of a hardtime looking for this. Hope this goes to the algorithm river.
RUclips beung RUclips, thanks for finding it, appreciated it
Thank you! I found my problem with painting! I was using craft paint acrylic and man i kept getting brush strokes no matter what(i even tried thinning it lol). Time to get some actual hobby paint. Oh and if anyone has any good recomendations for paint, please reply to this comment since this video is 3 years old. ❤❤❤
I really appreciate this video. I'm looking to start hand-painting my own gunpla, and I've been looking for any tips i can find. It really helps to see you actually giving a demonstration with what you're talking about. I can't wait to get started.
I just found a gold mine. Thanks for sharing.
I just feel like a heavy load just gone after watching this. The power of information lol. Im just getting started with gunpla and i have soo many questions and doubt.
Absolutely clean results!!
Dropping by to say hi! Wonder where you get the chilled vibes from:) Keep the videos coming!
HI!!! Thanks man, You're definitely one of the inspirations I had when thinking of how to do videos!
Hardest part for me is getting the paint applied evenly lol
Great video on handpainting! Definitely gonna use this video as a reference to people who wanna get into handpainting
Thank you so much! I've had a few holes I wished I filled in I might follow this up soon? Let's see
Not the best video I ever did but it's a first, sorry for the audio and video quality as of now I'm using a phone to do everything soon I'll up the quality that's for sure
Sorry If I ruined everyone's ears by the intro and outro, I'll definitely lower the volume in future videos
Awesome man!
gem of a channel, totally agree that primer is key to getting good consistent results. have you ever experienced any warping from using the hairdryer?
Wow thank you so much!
No not really just don't put it on really hot or high settings what we need is warm air to dry the water in the paint.
@@theredrock5783 That’s cool man, I’ll be sure to give it a try on my next project
Funny that I dont need NBS parchment because I have a printing company, which some blank stickers use parchment paper as a holder. Also salamat so much for this tutorial, Im new to Gunplas because my dad and friends introduced it to me. Thankfully that the latest Lazada sale Im able to get 3 kits of HGs (Barb, Flouros, and a Zaku II) and Im excited to start to paint em
WOOOOA such a cool tutorial!! More of these lods, sana soon makapag custom nadin ako 😁
Soon you'll be able to step by step lang and you'll get the hang of the techniques!
Definitely need this.. arigatou senpai... 🤭🤭🤭
You're welcome!
keep it up pat!!!
Thankss!
Hi there, great video! Would you recommend doing strokes in different directions on each layer, as to minimize brush strokes in the final results? Also, when we’re working with Vallejo Model Colors, do we need to thin them with water?
Ty for the video! Broken hearts was a nice touch there, itsagundam got me curious about the hobby and I wound up buying and putting together my first kit yesterday. I want to get in to painting them but am not sure if I can end up putting the time into it.
Thanks for noticing the music! i appreciate it a lot too
You can get into painting cause you can apply these into small areas of a kit so you can definitely do kit touchups if you have the time, I hope you, do it's fun
I do have more tutorials up I hope you check it out
ayy great explanation video! Short sweet yet informative
I too will very shortly be hand brushing the new SD King Arthur MK III and found your vid while looking for last minute handbrush tips. (There is far too much on this kit to mask)
Holy crap need primer omg ty
What setting do you set the hairdryer to?
Also, thank you for this.
Just a low setting is enough
Yaaa this shit bussin bussin
Pussin Pussin
Yes
Omg love your commentary lol
Ngl I think it's really sht, Thanks for appreciating it! I'll definitely Improve it soon!
@@theredrock5783 lol why are you so negative on yourself?
Not really probably because of the standards I follow
@@theredrock5783 I see
awesome tutorial. question thou, is there any particular type of top coats for waterbased paints? on the other hand, what are the type of top coats that i need to avoid if i'll do handpainting using waterbased paints? Thanks and more power!
Lacquer works best, just make sure you let the acrylic waterbased paint cure for 24 hours so it isn't affected by the lacquer
Can I use acrylic for all layers?
Yep
Just make sure the layers are what they are
Primer- base color- top coat
Lots of paint for those purposes
why is it when i prime my gunpla part with glossy black (because i want to paint a silver chrome paint over it), the metallic paint I'm using over it doesn't really work? it looks way darker and not really working
Did you shake it properly? How many layers did U apply? When I apply my mettalics thru an airbrush it usually takes me a few thin layers before I reach the opacity I'm satisfied with
@@theredrock5783 i dont AB I only use brushes...and uhm i guess just...one layer. I'm not really familiar with this layering stuff
Vallejo Metallics are the best to do hand painting with 👏👏👊👊
The Model Air mettalics are freakin golden
The narration is unnecessary entertaining though ❤️
Oh really?? Thank you!
so it can be done! Thanks man! God bless and dont forget to partake in Bible reading.
