I've tried alot of whisky and jack daniels is still pound for pound the best. I drink it with just ice. Single barrell jack is definitely the best out of the 3 Jack's. Balvenie is my favourite single malt.
Jack Daniels old no.7 whiskey is a great beginners whiskey. Its so smooth and tasty. Very friendly on the pallet i personally think J.D. is a very tasty whiskey.
Excellent stuff :). I would absolutely love to try the white whisky before/after charcoal mellowing, always thought it was a bit of a gimmick. Would be nice to have a side by side comparison.
Carl M Try to visit any big whisky fair in your country. Then you have to talk to the guys at the Jack booth for quite some time. They always have the two bottles with them. But I don't think they usually give them to everyone. ruclips.net/video/KvtYTmaAXbA/видео.htmlm7s
I have tried the white, before and after the charcoal mellowing. Before it’s typical white lightening and about 240 proof. After the mellowing you can taste the difference, to me almost a sweeter taste than the before…
For Whiskey, Jack Daniel’s has always been my go-to spirit. They say that the charcoal mellowing is what differentiates Jack from Kentucky Bourbon. But I also tell people that Tennessee Whiskey is made from a superior water source, from Tennessee’ limestone cave springs. And another obvious difference is that it’s made in Tennessee, hence it’s title. Jack Daniel’s also has a sweeter and less peppery flavor that most Kentucky Bourbons.
Not a fan of the ole no.7. However they have a good product in their Single Barrel. Id drink it if it were $10 cheaper. At around 50 a bottle here in NW Ohio i choose others before JD Single Barrel.
Am i the only one that finds it hard to call jack daniels a whiskey ? I could drink a bourbon and a jack , and when i compare the two i dont taste much difference as i would when im drinking a scotch or any other singlemalt.
I think I would like Jack Daniels a lot more without the extra maple wood charcoal finish. That extra wood and smoke is too much for me on their usual expressions
Agreed, and a very corporate attitude throughout the entire tasting. Then again maybe he does these 10 times a day and it's hard to keep up the enthusiasm.
Ho to make expensive 8 year JD at a fraction of the price: Basically alcohol is ethanol and when u add oak (ok tree chips) and some vanilla to ethanol u get the same taste after only just 3 days.... don't take my word for it ,try it
I consider a whiskey "smooth" when it just comes off as very rounded, it's hard to explain but I would say it's more common in whiskeys that have been aged longer.
When I grow up I want to be a whiskey taster. I am seventy.
A very good video! Much education and information here. I learn so much from this channel. Keep up the great work! Cheers!

The barrel proof is my favorite... but it's all lifes blood.

wildernessman I agree.
@@osmo4547 why a beginner's.
@@deanmartin380 Because it doesn't taste of anything.
@@phillycheesetake it tastes delicious
@@phillycheesetakeit's excellent, it's strong and has a slight burn going down
A very cool distillery tour video, the one a few days ago was, too. Nice job!
ArtMorte I did all of North America. There will be 15-17 videos depending on how I cut it.
Sweet! : D
Sipping Jack and watching this .... nice video.
Take a sip of Jack Daniels every time he says "chaacoal"
How about a whole shot. 😄
I love this video because it gives me a chance to kick back and pick my nose real good.
Yuck.
JD Single Barrel Barrel, totally awesome!
Thank you very much for this video, I'm doing my Diploma in Spirits soon, and your video was very helpful!!!!
Distiller fart at 27:08
Hunter Green lmfao i heard it
Nice catch, lol
hahahaha
HA! I was thinking, was that a fart? Then i seen the comments...l0l He dropped one, then his next word dropped the next one..
He farted twice theres a small one few seconds after
Originally, not a fan of JD...However, after trying the single barrel. ..wow! I really love JD now, a beautiful corny sweet whiskey!
+William Gelfand Ok, have a nice day!
I got a bottle of Single Barrel Select from my brother; can't wait to crack that open with em! :)
+Nannerpuss Yeah! Enjoy!
@William Gelfand -- Clearly you haven't tried either, and clearly you are an idiot, so STFU.

240 proof is not attainable.
140 proof is probably more likely.👍🥃😊
American Made with pride and tradition ... You gotta love it.
I was hoping that Benedikt might say, "My father says that Jack Daniels tastes like paint thinner and gummy worms.", but lo.
How I wish I could get a taste of sir Nathan nearis Green whisky
JD and coke is my second blood
Great video boss
they should do a smoked version with the wood for the charcoal
All very good, looks clean and a great process.
So why does it taste like shit?
I'm scottish and Jack and coke are my drink love a good single malt but nothing compares to a jack and coke with ice.
I wonder it also. Only their Single Barrel is a good quality sipping whisky
Presentation from the German Lad... magic, love it you guys, Scotch...US style, yummy.
No where near a scotch more of a blended mix
I never tried JD before. after watching your video I am going to get myself a bottle.
kind of want to see a Jack Daniels Tennessee bourbon.
PLEASE DO Australia- SULLIVAN COVE and STARWARDS distilleries..
Great vid.
Vielen danke for the upload.
I have to mix JD with coke. It's not my favorite neat or with just ice. Haven't tried Single barrel or GJ though
Good review educational fun review
At 6 minutes and 27 seconds starts some amazing unintentionall asmr.. Or so it seems
Great video thx
And den I got to sample a lot of Jack!!!!!
Where's Hannibal?
Ik kijk uit naar meer van dit soort opnames. Rondleidingen ect.
great video...i dont know how the jack daniels rep can talk so calmly about old no7...its young, harsh and has glue notes lol
Good old Lynchburg ... a dry county😂. Cheers from dyersburg

Welcome the USA
well done. A German accent (slight) - how interesting.
Gent Jack is the best they make. Smoother...and the best whisky made in Tennessee is white label George Dickel.
If people used it responsibly all the liquor companies would be out of business
Not a fan of the ole no.7. However they have a good product in their Single Barrel. Id drink it if it were $10 cheaper. At around 50 a bottle here in NW Ohio i choose others before JD Single Barrel.
It's about the same equivalent price in the UK. Single barrell is worth the extra as a treat. Honestly in my top 3 whiskys of all time.
@@BartoniGaming they're starting to sell it by the pint in the us
@@davidmccants6278 I found JD no cheaper in the U.S.
so how do i drink Jack responsibly?
Body shots only way to go

Tis guy is trained to sell and promote.
Really wish they would had got someone from Lynchburg or mulberry to walk you guys through this lmao it would’ve been a experience
It's not 8% Rye and 12% Barley but reverse...
No way just that little amount of water will support the huge manufacturing of jack daniels
Yes way and it does. They don't use that much but 250 million gallons of water flow through that spring a day. More than they can use.
This Jack Daniels rep comes of as a like he's in a hurry to get somewhere
Agreed, and a very corporate attitude throughout the entire tasting.
Then again maybe he does these 10 times a day and it's hard to keep up the enthusiasm.
I think he got a little offended when he said that he'd rather drink vodka lol

He..he..Bunghole…he…he…he
you can smell sweet. no wonder he's only the assistant
" barrel maturation is everything, otherwise you google for vodka".... mezcal, grappa, tequila are crying somewhere
Tennessee home of the Worlds best Whisky, Not Jack Daniels, George Dickel but Jack is still great
If you have bad water your gonna have bad whiskey ,, lol
ONe point - calling a whiskey smooth really says nothing. Should find a better adjective.
Mellow....it's just a Tennessee thing
I consider a whiskey "smooth" when it just comes off as very rounded, it's hard to explain but I would say it's more common in whiskeys that have been aged longer.
and he got drunk ... !
Take some Carrots Out of your Mouth!!!
was here today. this guy does no justice for the tour lol
4 years in barrel, no thanks
Presenter should have downed 2-3 glasses of Jack before the video, he's too stiff
Jack Daniel learned his whiskey making techniques from an African slave you never hear much about that though
Fuck off was his scottish lineage
Because nobody cares lol
Are you suggesting blm and antifa knock down jacks statue and 🔥 down the distillery 😳😝
All fake
Way overpriced and commercialized ! .......Evan Williams better
Lisa Gy opinions
Blasphemy! What are you all doing down there guys? Filtering out all the good flavors with sweet maple charcoal.
Original jack is swill. Would never drink it neat.
