- Words and Music by unknown artist (traditional, performed by Nirvana)
This is a version pitch shifted up by a semitone so you can play it without detuning our bass guitar. For an original version you can check my other video - • [original tuning] Nirv... .
Backing track is synced to 108 bpm and was was done by me. Drums are MIDI as well as the vocals, guitar is played by me - I am planning to do a guitar cover also if I manage to play those damned triplets properly :-).
The tab animation is from a Guitar Pro 6 software.
You can support me on Patreon where I have all my tabs in PDF and GPX.

I hope you'll like my cover and It'll help you to play the song the way it was recorded. Keep making the low end sound awesome! :-)
Check my band The Midnight Thunder - we've recently released new album and a single!

Great thanks from France (I've 71 years)
You’re one of the best I hope this pays all your bills
Great cover Harry! Now, I'm gonna take my bass and try to play it.
Finally a Nirvana song! I can't believe It took me so long to do one. And also if I remember correctly it is my first cover of a live song. Thank you Jeannie for an awesome request! Few words about the song any my cover - this version is pitch shifted by a semitone up so you can play along without detuning your instrument. I personally kinda hate detuning my bass because it always gets used to the new string tension and it's hard to tune and set it up properly for standard playing again. That is the reason I did two versions. If you prefer the original (or you want to sing the song in the original key), please check the second video - ruclips.net/video/kxJ3yC113e0/видео.html . And I also don't want to brag or anything but because this is a live performance I had to snap the whole song to the grid and that was very painful at certain times. I really hope you will enjoy this song! Have fun and take care!
If we want to get pedantic, this song is in 6/8, not 3/4. Lots of folky old traditionals (House of the Rising Sun for example) are in 6/8.
Count 1!23 4!56 (strong beats on 1 and 4) and you'll see it feels much more natural. 3/4 tends to feel like a waltz, which this certainly does not.
@@jimkirby8059 Thank you Jim. I though 3/4 and 6/8 were mathematically equal. But you are correct - there are some differences, especially with the feel. Do you think I should redo it?
Harry - Music & Stuff I don’t think there’s any need to redo this one, the difference is quite subtle. Everyone trying to learn this song from the video will still be able to. Other than that one little hiccup, you nailed the transcription! Music is such a cumulative learning process, next time you encounter a 6/8 tune you’ll be able to catch on to it right away.
Harry congratulations man, you have an awesome chanel and very much talent
Great cover ! This is 3/4 signature, right ?
Love your stuff man, your Turtles "happy together" video made me go out and get a bass and start learning! I'd love to see you do the bass for the replacements "swinging party" (I cant find the tabs anywhere online! )
