Hey, make sure to find the recording (video) from a concert in like 92? At Castaic Lake, CA. It's off of the second Outcesticide cd (blue moon records) cd name is the needle & the damage done. Another cover that will blow ur mind is off the same cd is labeled "The Man Who Sold the World" (electric version). I was born in Aberdeen and grew up in Montesano and was listening to their unreleased tracks and some "bootleg" concert recording's in the early 90's. There is some definite next-level shit that they never released and most people didn't even know about. The Outcesticide series 1-4 were $40 each back then, but worth every cent!! They are probably still available and will show you the true and full musical genius of Kurt. R.I.P.

It's hard to quantify moments in our youth until many years later, so all I can say is that the music and art lives on. Even though we live in an unsettled time, I'm grateful for the artists who came before me.
Pretty sure it's not rusty dry throat, but just vocal fry. Surprisingly easy once you figure it out. He really isn't trying that hard to get that sound at this point, and it's nothing to do with his throat and how damaged it may or may not be.
I know right I wish more musicians were as tallented and as amazing as he was, rip Kurt we love and miss you and know that you are in a much better place now.

This is breaking my heart. My good friend loved Nirvana and Kurt so much that he moved from Florida to Seattle when he was homeless just so he could visit Kurts bench. A few months after he got to Seattle, he was murdered. I miss my friend so much. He loved this song. He was a guitar (or like he would say a "gee-tar") player. I think it made him happy though to be in Kurts city.
I'm having a major Nirvana nostalgia moment rn & this song will forever be my favorite of their whole body of work & of the Unplugged session. The melancholy then the fury in Kurt's voice ♡
As someone who knows too well what he was going threw with drugs and an extremely toxic relationship this song hits especially hard for people like us and is why he went 150% on this and You Know You're Right. The latter especially, he was a genius with a headache some would say. Im glad he doesnt have to feel the pain of this shitty world anymore. Rip brother.

The original song was recorded by Leadbelly, which is why Kurt mentioned being offered to buy Leadbelly’s guitar before the song begins. But Kurt poured his heart and soul into this live performance, and made it his own. The absolute perfect ending to a perfect Unplugged concert!!

This song will always remind me of the boy I loved in high school. It was Decemeber 2016. Our class just had a Christmas party and we were tidying up the room when the boy I had been in love with for more than 5 years at that that point played this song on RUclips. I never told him I loved him. Although, I think he knew because I told some of my classmates and they must have told him. I am at a uni now and I have moved on but I still dream of him sometimes. I hate how cliché this sounds. It sucks because I loved him so much. To this day I wonder if he ever felt the same. Probably not.
Maybe I was seriously mad, but one night, at my birthday, years ago I was forced to stay at home studying, I was 15 or so, the radio was unplugged and sounded "the man who sold the world". I expect he could have done it
without the heroin. Probably wouldn't have shot himself either.
@@SilverLine269 we all know Kurt didn't shoot himself
@@SploogeCannon we all know that do we
@@harrambou9468when your suicide note is in 2 different handwritings, the P.I. hired by your wife says it was her who killed you, and you have enough heroin in your system to incapacitate an elephant, you did not kill yourself.
wish I could of gotten the chance to be alive while he was alive, he was so passionate when it came to music I truly do wish he was here with us today
spicysuicide I feel the same.
How have I listened to Nirvana since 1994 and never heard this? What the actual? Its incredible, its going on my campfire playlist for sure
This is one of the best songs I’ve experienced. Perfect. Period!
I was 12. My friend came to me shaking. He said, what Kurt Has done. I looked at my childhood friend, understanding the era is gone forever...
I am so Sad that i never could meet kurt because im 14 right now but i Will always love rock to the Day i die.
I never got to meet Kurt because I’m 17 and I was born in 2002, years after his death and I’m still sad about it
I want to meet him but I'm 11 and he died right before me
I'm from Indonesia , lagu ini mengungkapkan isi hatinya pengalaman hidupnya Sir Kurt cobain, tanks for inspired 🙏

What about now
I was born 13 years after Kurt's death.. i grew up listening to Nirvana.. now im 16 and really feeling all his songs❤
I wouldnt say think that way. Because he was never intending to be a role model for teens more or less a representation of teen angst. Not a thing to "try" to strive for.
MY GIRL, MY GIRL DON'T LIEEE TOO MEEEEEE!!
Hi
Traducción
🤗
Great song sung by a great musician! He was a special human being that lived a short life... Your music lives on in my heart, rip Kurt Cobain...
This is perfection. Man I miss Kurt. 💔
That "shiver" sent shivers down my spine. So good.
I don't listen to much Nirvana but this song has a special place in my heart because my dad used to play it on his guitar and sing for me and my sister before he moved out
One of the best numbers from one of the most amazing bands, ever excited...Guys, you changed my youth dramatically. I had finally excepted, that "being strange",ain't that strange at all.......very, very, thanks for that, miss you, love you.....
Just picked up a guitar for the first time today. I know I’ll never be able to do this song the justice Cobain gave it, but if I can do this in my lifetime, I’ll die a happy man.

We didn’t get a long time with Kurt but he is one of the greatest! Fkn legend
kurt is one of the best singer's on this planet this man is really talented there's no doubt about it!
click if Nirvana was part of your child hood and still is a part of you
I was born in 95' so I was on the planet when this man graced the world with his genius. He was still a part of my childhood and will always be a part of me.
Always. There was only one Kurt...
I am 11, so it still is and I'm proud that it is. If it counts that is
im born in 01 but was still a big part of my childhood... cool parents haha
I am 33 year's old. I always have and always will be a Nirvana fan. For ever and always tell the day they put me in the pines where the sun don't shine.
Rest in peace kurt 🙏
Thanks for the upload
Steve.
Such a amazing artist that covered a masterpiece
25years😢 RIP legend you and layne probably rocking out 🤘🏻
Maybe I was seriously mad, but one night, at my birthday, years ago I was forced to stay at home studying, I was 15 or so, the radio was unplugged and sounded "the man who sold the world". I cried, I knew later that Kurt died about this exactly moments. I felt like him, isolated, drawing my feelings, without another ability to expresate my emotional state.
Always so much emotion in his voice man
